Since we are a small firm, it allowed us to easily automate the subscription process for the funds and setup the investor accounts/positions in a relatively short time-frame. Additionally, it allows the team to more efficiently distribute documents to the investors on a quarterly basis or as needed. Our investors also like that it serves as their own document repository for the funds. It has been a game-changer for our firm. We also value the timely Customer Support that we have received from Juniper Square. Questions are answered and issues are resolved quickly. It is also exciting to see the roadmap that Juniper Square has in place for upcoming enhancements to the product. The product is truly best in class. **What do you dislike about Juniper Square?** Our firm does not have any major things that we dislike about Juniper Square. We did have some issues with the automated subscription process with some investors missing items or not following the directions closely enough so we had to fix some issues during the subscription process. **What problems is Juniper Square solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is benefiting the Firm by serving as the tracking mechanism for our fundraising process as well as serving as a hub for investor communications. The sales and support teams keep dangling vague promises of future accounting integration, but after two years of waiting, there’s still nothing, and while it might become worthwhile if it ever evolves into a true all-in-one solution, for now, the effort and maintenance far outweigh the benefits—especially since its basic tools like OCR and document storage are already standard in software most companies use. **What problems is Juniper Square solving and how is that benefiting you?** I could store PDFs not only in SharePoint but also in Juniper Square ### 4. All of our investor information is displayed in a clear and concise manner and is easy to update. The search bar function makes it easy to locate specific information. Customizable fields allow me to add information that provides additional data to investors. The subscription process (including DocuSign) has made our capital raising process so much more efficient. Customer support over the past two years has been outstanding! **What do you dislike about Juniper Square?** The only inconvenient issue that I've discovered so far is that certain aspects of Transactions cannot be updated. For example, I created contribution transactions for two of our recent investments, but forgot to denote units and unit values. Instead of being able to update this information, I had to completely delete the transactions for all positions and recreate them. There were nearly 100 transactions between the two investment entities and it was very time consuming. Simply being able to update the existing transaction to add units and unit values would have been much more convenient. **What problems is Juniper Square solving and how is that benefiting you?** Juniper Square recently upgraded the Subscription process and created some new features that finally allowed us to use it for capital raising. When managing hundreds or thousands of contacts or accounts, it would be helpful if Juniper Square could proactively identify duplicates or unused accounts. In addition, it would be great to have more optionality with designing/customizing emails. You will grow drastically if you implement Juniper Square with integrity. My inbox is full of intentional email rather than administrative ones. My team and I work more quickly together. My investors and team are empowered at their own disposition, not mine. Previously, our admin was using Mail merge to create notices / statements and uploading to Intralinks. The process was time consuming and pretty much every round there was some error that was slipping through, whether it was wrong numbers, or the wrong partners statement being uploaded to the wrong partners account, etc. (very frustrating and embarrassing). In the 6 months we have used Juniper it appears all of those problems have gone away. Given the systems ability to populate notices just based on, for example, the amount you want to capital call, you can save hundreds of hours per year (and the related costs that go with it) using Juniper. 2. Juniper handles all of the data and upload process, (although you should still review as you may be familiar with certain one-off activities that an outsider wouldn't). Big stress reducer. 3. The customer success rep we have is incredibly helpful and timely in her responses. We even proposed a comment on something they didn't have and not too long after they rolled it out as an additional feature. I sort of expected that to be "yea I hear you" and then nothing ever happen with it, but to communicate that to the developers and roll it out within a month was very impressive. 4. Ability to sort and filter data from both a GP view and an LP view (all calls by LP per fund, all calls by LP across multiple funds, etc., and even generate statements in that manner). 5. Surprisingly, a number of LP's have reached out to say how much better they like the system. "Finally! You are off Intralinks!" from one LP I had previously not heard from since an offering. 6. Easily creating, sorting, filtering lists to communicate to LP's via email directly in Juniper. 7. You can receive an email from an LP and respond to the LP and BCC a Juniper email which will store the email in Juniper. 8. Tutorial videos on how to use the system.
