It has been my first choice for many years. Ideal for creating sites with reserved areas, it manages the code very well, the sites can be fast and fluid and the community offers excellent templates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I use Joomla a lot less now because it doesn't compete with the amount of plugins and features in Wordpress. The Joomla community has gone down and this has made customizations and custom activities more expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

If you want to build, dev and deploy efficient e-commerce websites and applications then joomla is for you. Built using MVC architecture, easy to customize components if you are good with PHP & MySQL . It has a strong dev community for any problem that you may need help with. It's scalable platform to build CMS and e-commerce sites but interface to customize templates and extensions can get complicated .if you are new to PHP and MVC architecture. Simple CMS sites can do without joomla as it could be way too complicated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Joomla is quite easy to deploy, configure, and setup. It doesn't take you very long to start creating your first web page. I like how it supports complex themes and the ability to add-on modules, plugins, payment gateways, etc. The possibilities are endless with what you can do with it. Joomla's learning curve is straight. We can easily manage and design our content to make it available online. Easy contact form setup which provides the lead directly to mail or we can download all the records as xlsx, pdf etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only dislike about Joomla cms is only the uploading of files in a single. There is no option for a bulk upload, or we have to use a third-party service. Sometimes the searching for modules is a bit hectic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Joomla is a versatile content management system because it is composed of modules, which makes it very configurable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like its usability, it seems to me that there are other more user-friendly content managers and that is very important when working on a website in a multidisciplinary team. Also, many of the plugins it uses are paid. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
