I like how simple Jira is to use and how you can break it down into different team areas and also link projects and incidents. I also like how you can customize workflows to work for you and what's best for your teams. Additionally, I appreciate the ability to manage the different stages of tickets that I raised.

The permission scheme is the only problem. Got a few issues there.

I use Jira for project management, where everything is logged. It helps project managers upload tickets, scope out projects, and assign them to teams. I like its simplicity and customization for workflows and linking projects, making it effective for different team areas.

Without utilizing Jira it would be very hard to cooperate with other teams on the the same task or project, it would require different tables and reports, Jira merges it all in one place. It helps us reaching our goal with clear timestamps.

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I have been using Jira for the past year, and what I appreciate most is its tracking capability. We rely on it for managing tech-related issues, and whenever any team creates a Jira ticket, it becomes very easy to track and resolve the issue quickly. Anyone can update the ticket through other software as well, which adds to its convenience. Jira is also beginner-friendly and very easy to use, from creating a ticket to assigning it. Overall, it is a wonderful software. Thank you, team Jira.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

I haven't found anything wrong with it so far. It has been helpful in completing my tasks and resolving issues, which is important both for me and my team. I have no negative thoughts about it.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My team and I use Jira to manage technical issues, and it also helps other teams track them easily, ensuring that we never miss any customer experience problems. It saves us a lot of time, as we can create and assign an issue to the relevant team or member in just 10 seconds. For technical issues, Jira is always our first and only choice.

what i like the most about jeera is ability  to organize the work efficiently in one place.In one place all the stackholders can monitor the tickets.For each task or issue we can create a ticket and tag the team who can take up that ticket .It is kind of comrehensive tool to monitor all your tickets at one place.

I think it is complete tool though some community edition should be given for students and just for learning so that it can reach to buttom layer pepole.

it solves problems related to task tracking ,project visibility,and team coordination.it helps manage tickets and prioritisation of work .it also monitor progress in work and accountability across teams.

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira stand out for its powerful kanban boards and scrum boards what work best for me in workflow visualization. The customization options are another real deal for example ,I liked that I can tailor boards and automation to fit almost any process.Great for visualizing projects ,assigning tasks and tracking progress in a way that keep team members on the same page.It's integration  with other Atlassian platforms  ge Confluence  and Bitbucket is seamless and the reporting capabilities for example cumulative flow diagrams, velocity  reports and burn-down charts gives deep insights for tracking progress and performance of projects.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The initial set up of Jira needs a solid understanding of Jira's configuration options which for a new user  can be overwhelming.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira provide transparent workflow. The ability to track projects in one place while maintaining  complete visibility into tasks,deadlines  and team responsibilities has greatly transformed  how we work.

The strongest advantage of Jira is how customizable and adaptable it is. Teams can modify workflows, screens, fields, and permissions to match exactly how their process works. Scrum teams benefit from its sprint boards, burndown charts, backlog grooming, and story point tracking. The ability to integrate with tools like GitHub, Bitbucket, Slack, Confluence, and CI/CD systems makes Jira a central hub for planning and tracking work from start to finish.

Jira's biggest drawback is its complexity. The interface can be dense, especially for new users who see many menus and configuration options. Setting up workflows, screens, and custom rules might require deep knowledge or admin support. If a workspace has been poorly configured over time, Jira can become cluttered with unnecessary issue types, long forms, and confusing statuses.

Jira solves the problem of unorganized project work. Without Jira, teams often rely on scattered information across tools like Excel sheets, emails, and chat threads, making it difficult to track responsibilities and deadlines. **What do you like best about Jira?**

What I like most about Jira is how well it organizes the entire workflow for our team. Tasks, Bugs, sprints, everything stays in one place. The agile boards are extremely easy to follow, and it becomes clear very quickly who is working on what and where the bottlenecks are. The customization options are a big plus. You can design your own workflows, create custom issue types, and adapt Jira to match the team's style instead of forcing everyone into a fixed structure. Integrations are solid as well... IT connects smoothly with slick, github, Bitbucket, confluence and even design tools. I personally didn't integrated it with other software but the dev team and managing team had experience and they they have good feedback about it.  Getting started was easier than expected, with ready-made project templates and guided setup our team and running quickly. The documentation and community support are impressive. Even when we had questions about workflow or automations, we found answers almost immediately. We used Jira almost daily.... from backlog grooming and sprint planning to tracking bugs and releases. It has basically become the backbone of our project workflow.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The interface can feel overwhelming at first, I mean the first time I logged in it does feel like that. It took some time to get accustomed. Even our new team members who are not familiar with agile tools. Some advanced configurations also require more time to understand. Performance can slow down a bit with very large projects.

We use Jira to manage our development and tracking cycles. It keeps our team aligned in real time.

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira is basically the team’s memory.

People forget. Slack scrolls away. Meetings blur together. Jira remembers. It remembers why a task exists, who touched it last, what broke when, and what still isn’t done (even if everyone pretends otherwise). It takes vague ideas like “we should fix this someday” and turns them into something with a name, a status, and a very public sense of guilt.

Also, Jira doesn’t care about opinions. If it’s not in Jira, it doesn’t exist. If it is in Jira, it will eventually be dealt with. And it adapts to how your team actually works, not the other way around. You can shape workflows, statuses, and rules to match real processes. It keeps a clear trail from idea to release, so when something breaks or decisions get questioned, the history is right there. Everyone—devs, QA, product, and managers—sees the same work with shared visibility. It supports Agile naturally with boards, sprints, and backlogs, and it connects smoothly with tools like Git, Confluence, Slack, and CI/CD, so work stays in one flow instead of getting scattered. From recent times we almost using Agile methodology so that we can plan and schedule a long term project in a client friendly environmental process to track the development and quality and service in a efficient way .

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

In Jira, when I raise a new defect for the same sprint or project, every time I still need to add the same labels, fields, and workflow, and also add viewers. It’s the same setup for the project, but I still have to remember everything and add it again each time. It feels very time-wasting, and sometimes it makes time management difficult.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira’s value is in making complex, multi-person work visible and accountable. The downside is that when teams over-configure it, the tool starts serving the process instead of the people.

Problem it solves: chaos, missed tasks, unclear ownership, and lack of visibility. How it helps: it provides one place to track work, priorities, and progress. And coordination across teams at scale.it adds overhead and can slow things down when it’s overused.

Sometimes, even experienced users struggle to locate workflow settings or custom fields. When too many custom rules or automations are added, Jira can also slow down or become hard to maintain.

I like Jira’s ability to organize stories into epics, and I also appreciate how easy it is to capture feedback through comments. It also integrates into pretty much anything I want (Salesforce, GDrive, Zendesk, etc.)

UI is a bit cluttered, but information rich.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The user interface feels incredibly cluttered, and the time it takes to fully load can make the experience really choppy.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s great for organizing engineering tasks, stories, and epics. I also like that it supports using spaces, so different departments can set it up in ways that fit their workflows. For example, our GTM enablement team uses it very differently from our engineering group, and it still works well for both.

The kind of flexibility in terms of workflow, views, and permission schemes that can be applied to a space can never be found in any of the other CRMs in service/request management.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

From a configuration perspective, the admin panel and fields are too complex for us to edit and create. 

The Atlassian help center is not particularly helpful for a layperson to understand the configuration.

It's just the standard system you would use, don't you? It's not perfect, but everything else is worse, so they're good enough.

The UI can get cluttered on certain pages. If you don't use it often, it can be a bit overwhelming.

What I like best about Jira is its unmatched flexibility and configurability. It adapts well to different team workflows and methodologies — whether you’re using Scrum, Kanban, or a hybrid approach. The ability to create custom issue types, fields, and workflows lets teams shape the tool around their processes instead of the other way around. Real-time visibility into task progress, coupled with extensive reporting and dashboards, has significantly improved transparency and accountability across projects.

The learning curve can be steep, especially for new or non-technical users. Some features feel overly complex out of the box, and initial setup can require a dedicated admin to configure everything effectively. **What do you like best about Jira?**

I like using Jira for tracking tasks in a feature, as it brings everything together in one place like a diary to review everything related to a feature. It helps me know what action items are pending and what can be achieved. I appreciate Jira acting like a bookkeeper for tracking all tasks in one place. I find it definitely fast when fetching results from multiple sources, which is crucial as a developer because if the tool is slow, I would avoid using it. Since Jira is fast, I can document, attach files, and refer to them easily. The initial setup was also pretty much easy.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

I think when I working on mobile, Jira does not handle well. It takes a lot of longer time to load and as well while working on editing/adding comments it does not do a good job there. I think having a notes on top of Jira would be a good feature.

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I use Jira for daily effort tracking and task management. I appreciate the easy tracking of stories and tasks. I like its feature management, especially the ability to break features into tasks. We can also create stories for sprints, which is helpful. Logging our efforts daily and adding comments is another feature I value. The initial setup was easy.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Jira is pricier than Azure DevOps and it could offer more advantages. It would be beneficial if it had CiCD capabilities.

I use Jira for daily effort tracking and task management. It helps me easily track stories and tasks, manage features by breaking them into tasks, and create stories for sprints.

Jira is generally employed to monitor client service tickets. It enables the tracking of client requests and ensures that the correct teams handle the requests in the due course. Moreover, the status allows the teams to get a good overview of what is in progress, what is pending, etc., which is essential during client reviews.

The learning curve may be quite steep for new team members who are not familiar with organized ticketing systems.

I really like that I don't have to do anything manually over in Excel. I can create a ticket and assign it to the relevant team. I can also see the stages of my current ticket. It's not just for any issues or bugs; I can also create requests for any product requirement from the client. This can be assigned to any product team and not just the engineering team. I really like that feature about Jira.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Not specifically anything, but still if I have to suggest any improvement, there are no push notifications from Jira. If your ticket has been pending for a while, you don't get any notifications that the ticket is still open and nobody has acted upon it. You really have to go manually check whether the ticket has been picked up by the team or not.

I use Jira to create and assign tickets for the engineering team, eliminating the need for spreadsheets. It helps track the status of issues or product requests by checking ticket history and progress.

I now use Jira in my day-to-day activities since the manner of managing issues and projects makes it very convenient to me to be organised. Being able to have unlimited issues and projects ensures that I do not face any problems of reaching the limit and it has also been able to keep everything- small to long-term work- in a single location. I also heavily use the backlog and board views to plan my week and the timeline and calendar views have served me to plot deadlines without forgetting anything. This is likely to be the most beneficial aspect of the forms feature since I am able to gather the information about other teams without sending several messages. The establishment was not complex as well, the project templates and the customization of workflow saved my time a lot. I am now using Jira on a daily basis and when I became comfortable with the layout it was easy to navigate. It has also helped when it has been incorporated with Microsoft Teams, as updates and notifications are displayed where we communicate as a team, so nothing goes astray. I have already contacted the customer care a few times and they were able to respond quickly.

I like how easy it is to create tickets and assign work in Jira. The notification reception is straightforward and it integrates well with major collaboration platforms. I also appreciate Jira's flexibility for Agile and remote work, and its strength in issue tracking. Additionally, the initial setup of Jira was very easy thanks to the detailed guide and helpful team support, as well as the video guide.

Jira has a heavy and busy UI, which makes it hard for beginners to navigate, especially in large instances with many boards. Some standard terms like Epic and Issue aren't beginner-friendly, and a detailed glossary or an option to change convention names on boards would make it easier and more flexible.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jira for ticket creation and as a CRM tool. It covers a major chunk of the software development lifecycle, helps with work allocation, documentation of employee work, and tracking work progress. I like the easy ticket creation, work assignment, notifications, and its integration with major collaboration platforms.

JIRA software is something i started using in my last 2 companies (Approx 4 years now) where we were dealing with tickets. From raising tickets to getting updates, tracking the status of tickets were so easy. its a tool that is fast, Reliable and very user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

I have not used JIRA extensively like a tech person (project manager) to figure out the issues but as far as i have used, its a flawless tool.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of engineering tickets where software development, bug fixing was required, JIRA has helped us solve the issues where tickets used to get lost and used to take forever to get back on track with the work that is happening. JIRA's implementation has reduced the time it used to take for us to get our tickets to closure.

A very interactive project management tool that offers a handful of solutions like workspaces within the same account, workflows, and a very integratable tool. 

Rovo and other integratable AI bots is a very useful tool to create your workspace. Kanban boards and segmented workspaces lets you have incredible combinations that perform well and is perfect for support ticket requests and bug tracking.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Not a dislike, but training is a must to be able to understand the tool. If you don't understand the tool, you won't be able to take advantage an potentially lose money.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organization visibility when it comes to bug tracking, customer asks, and internal tasks.

I like it because it’s very easy to use. Since I’m a release manager, it helps me a lot with fix versions and with the change request process.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

I have the app on my phone, where I can review tickets and CRs and change their status. However, when I want to review a fixed version, it tries to take me to the web version, and using that from a phone isn’t very useful.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Because we work under the Agile methodology, Jira is very good at versioning and sprint management, which are the features we use the most.
