## JetBrains Qodana Reviews
  ### 1. Seamless Automated Code Quality Checks for Cleaner, More Secure Projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aashin C. | Software Developer Intern, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2026

**What do you like best about JetBrains Qodana?**

What I like best about JetBrains Qodana is how seamlessly it integrates automated code quality checks into the development workflow, making it easier to maintain clean, reliable, and secure code across projects.

**What do you dislike about JetBrains Qodana?**

One thing I dislike about JetBrains Qodana is that the setup and configuration can feel a bit overwhelming at first, especially for smaller projects or teams that want a quicker onboarding experience.

**What problems is JetBrains Qodana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JetBrains Qodana helps automate code quality, security, and static analysis checks directly in the CI/CD workflow. Its clean UI/UX and deep integrations with GitHub, GitLab, and JetBrains IDEs make it easy to adopt without disrupting development. The performance of automated inspections saves significant manual review time, improving productivity and reducing bugs early. From a pricing/ROI perspective, it helps teams catch costly issues before deployment, and the onboarding experience is smooth for developers already familiar with the JetBrains ecosystem. I also like the AI/intelligence aspect, where it provides smart insights and actionable suggestions instead of just raw warnings.

  ### 2. Change my code editor

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Javier C. | Full Stack developer, Education Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2025

**What do you like best about JetBrains Qodana?**

Well, the change was good and it was a good work with the code editor, I have been using it for a while, because I was working with Visual Studio

**What do you dislike about JetBrains Qodana?**

The cost is a lot for a code editor, and you always buy it separately.

**What problems is JetBrains Qodana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No, I had never face a problem using this code editor.

  ### 3. Cost-Saving Floating Licenses That Deliver efficiency

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about JetBrains Qodana?**

The floating license model allows me to save costs.

**What do you dislike about JetBrains Qodana?**

The integration wasn’t easy and took some time to complete, even with support.

**What problems is JetBrains Qodana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool fully helps teams deliver code that is readable, maintainable, and secure in short timeframes

  ### 4. Mothers little Helper

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tobias R. | Lead Developer - Customer Projects, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2024

**What do you like best about JetBrains Qodana?**

Well, what to say about a JetBrains IDE buld-in ready to use Quality and Vunerability check.
1. It's build
2. It's ready to use
3. Use is in your IDE and in the CI / CD processes as Developer or in Team / QA process
4. Track in a very nice GUI your clean up process
5. Kind and helpfull customer support
6. Wide Tool and Service Vendor support

But the best feature, is to write reliable, quality code, faster and with fun!

**What do you dislike about JetBrains Qodana?**

Qodanan is a somehow 'new' tool, config can be somehow clonky. But the e.g. IntelliJ IDE integration and the distributed download config help a lot to have a success in reasonable time.
A Licence will also grand your team technical support, in more difficult setups.

But the most important thing is to understand, that any subscription will help to improve! I use JetBrains Enterprise IDE's for several years even as private person and the improvements are breath taking. I have no doubt that story will continue with Qodana.

**What problems is JetBrains Qodana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast, reliable feedback on my project quality, wherever you are, is essential to fight against technical debts, that is Qodana!

The baseline feature in combination with a nice ui are a big motivation driver to improve.

  ### 5. Powerful but Lacking

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Clay J. | Technical Lead, Insurance, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2024

**What do you like best about JetBrains Qodana?**

Qodana is used by my team to help fix CVE's as well as find coding problems. The CVE detection works great and is easy to use. The coding issues section has a slick interface that is easy to navigate and use. Qodana is easy to integrate into our build pipeline so that it automatically runs when we merge our pull requests into our dev branch. Additionally, we can run Qodana locally using IntelliJ on our machines if the need arises.

**What do you dislike about JetBrains Qodana?**

When a false positive arises I haven't found a way to disable the notification without disabling the entire test for the application. This gives us the impression that we have more issues than we actually do.

**What problems is JetBrains Qodana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Qodana primarily for CVE detection and static code analysis to discover poor coding practices.

  ### 6. Static code analyzer that best integrates with Jetbrain products

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paco V. | Coordinador de tecnología, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

- It has a good integration with Jetbrain Rider.
- The analysis is fast.
- Categorizes by severity, best practices, etc.
- It can be visualized in the cloud and creates visual graphs.

**What do you dislike about JetBrains Qodana?**

- The analyses are quite basic
- More security reviews are lacking.
- It would be nice if it could analyze the code using AI and optimize the code more completely.

**What problems is JetBrains Qodana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I perform static code analysis to improve quality.

  ### 7. Static Code analysis with perfect CI/CD integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thimo B. | CEO, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about JetBrains Qodana?**

It is easy to manage, easy to integrate in GitHub Actions and has a very good documentation. The user interface is brilliat.

**What do you dislike about JetBrains Qodana?**

If you don't use SSO but want to secure the account, the 2FA is kind of annoying because you cannot trust your device

**What problems is JetBrains Qodana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps our development team to optimize code and makes the deployment to production more secure

  ### 8. Product I didn't knew I needed until I used it

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2024

**What do you like best about JetBrains Qodana?**

The intuitive UI, especially for the Actual Problems section, with the pie chart and problems list and the filtering mechanism

Support for local analysis

Integration with the existing popular CICD tools

Quick and hassle-free setup

**What do you dislike about JetBrains Qodana?**

Not a dislike but a request for support of C and C++

Lack of learning resources, would love to see some more detailed resources to get people started on

**What problems is JetBrains Qodana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helped me in saving a significant amount of time in code reviews for refactoring code in PRs from inexperienced devs to just go through the review report and fix them

  ### 9. Amazing product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel M. | Lider de equipo, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2024

**What do you like best about JetBrains Qodana?**

It is a powerful product, it maximizes code quality and prevents bugs. It is really useful.

**What do you dislike about JetBrains Qodana?**

I would like you to keep a freemium plan for small projects or those that are just starting out and can't afford the costs.

**What problems is JetBrains Qodana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ensures that the source code is robust and of quality

  ### 10. Reliable code quality scanning without headache

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel L. | Software Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2024

**What do you like best about JetBrains Qodana?**

I love enforcing code quality on our team with automatic code scanning in the PR process. It integrates nicely with Rider and makes it easy fo resolve and fix issues. There's a lot of configuration as well to control what rulesets you want Qodana to scan for.

**What do you dislike about JetBrains Qodana?**

Qodana's support for new .NET Framework releases can take a while and have been behind our adoption schedule.

**What problems is JetBrains Qodana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Qodana helps us have consistent code quality across the team. It helps prevent code slop from being checked in and acts as a code-quality gate on our PRs.
