We add some additional plugin and create Jenkins jobs for run system test, automation test, and integration test automatically when having new commit to master and have jobs for deploy our new code to destination VMs on demand. We chose Jenkins as it is simple and flexible but powerful to handle our CI/CD pipeline. Jenkins is very easy to setup and configure and there are lot of plugins. Moreover , the USP of this tools is that it has for Linux as well as Windows platforms. The support is really great, **What do you dislike about Jenkins?** In Jenkins there is no search functionality, which makes it difficult to search in case of multiple builds. Jenkins does not have any feature for tracking job history. We are unable to restore jobs if we delete or update by mistake and this leads to rework. When you are performing installation and if you get an error, then it is some what difficult to understand the issue. **Recommendations to others considering Jenkins:** Jenkins has been used by us for a long time. It is quite reliable CI tool. You want to use for DEv and QA or you can use for DevOps. It will never disappoint you. **What problems is Jenkins solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Jenkins for build management. It is mostly used by the development and QA teams. We use Jenkins for both manual and automated builds projects. It helps the developers to work together and create a combined solution, such that QA team can test it all at once. The recognition by any company/product that has anything to do with builds and/or CI/CD, even if they don't like it or recommend something else, they always at least have heard of and have some documentation on integration with Jenkins because it'd be folly not to support it. It's very versatile and can be configured so radically different in so many different ways that you're almost guarenteed to be able to mold it to suit your needs. **What do you dislike about Jenkins?** A lot of the plugins are low quality, or very outdated/abandoned. The flexibility of Jenkins is also a double edged sword, you can have 2 different companies using Jenkins and they're both completely configured differently, nothing like each other. There's no real "standards", everybody has a difference of opinion on the best way to configure/use Jenkins and they're all positive they're doing it the right way aka "Best Practices", which makes it very frustrating when you're trying to set it up or use it in your own company. **Recommendations to others considering Jenkins:** Do a lot of research on "best practices" before implementing it. Don't just dive in because it's super easy to do so but then you'll find yourself locked into that particular way of doing things going forward. Plan on if you want to use Pipeline, Jenkinsfile, or Freestyle. Try to stick with that project type as much/best as you can, get all developers to use the standards you layout whether they like it or not.
