## Jellyfish Reviews
  ### 1. Great platform to understand where we invest time and to find areas to improve processes

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam B. | Director of Product, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

I like they way it tracks work accurately, without effort by engineers. Jellyfish is constantly improving how you can view allocations, progress against deliverables, and team health metrics.

My favorite part is that Jellyfish automates virtually all of the manual work I used to have to do to track Software CapEx!

Our CSM and the Jellyfish team is always quick to help us figure out how to do something new, and to get our feedback on new features.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

My only feedback is I think we'd get better adoption/buy-in from our product team if there was more transparency/detail how how time/work gets allocated on each team.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jellyfish solves three problems for us:
1. The need to understand where we are investing our time
2. The need to track software dev CapEx
3. The need to understand areas to dig into to help teams become more productive through retros and coaching

For us, the benefit is time savings and productivity.

  ### 2. Powerful Insight into Engineering Work with Jellyfish via Emburse

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fernando P. | Senior Manager Software Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

We've been using Jellyfish through Emburse over a year, and it has become an incredibly valuable tool for our team. It provides clear visibility into the progress of epics, tracks developer activity, and offers comprehensive insights into our engineering operations.

What makes Jellyfish especially useful is its ability to align engineering work with business priorities. We can easily monitor how time is spent across projects and identify where efforts are being focused. The integration with our existing systems was smooth, and the interface is intuitive and informative .

Thanks to Jellyfish, we now have greater confidence in our delivery pipeline and can make data-driven decisions more effectively. It's an essential part of our toolkit for tracking performance and progress across development teams.

Highly recommended for any team looking to improve transparency, accountability, and strategic planning within their engineering organization.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

We haven't encountered anything we dislike about Jellyfish so far. The platform has been reliable, intuitive, and consistently valuable in helping us track and manage our engineering work. It integrates well with our existing tools and meets our needs effectively.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jellyfish helps us solve the challenge of visibility and alignment across our enginering teams. By tracking progress on epics, developer contributions, and overall workload distribution, it ensures that our efforts are focused on the right priorities. This has improved our ability to plan, allocate resources efficiently, and make informed decisions backed by real-time data. The result is better collaboration, clearer reporting, and stronger alignment between engineering work and business goals.

  ### 3. Jellyfish takes the obscure and makes it visible

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Preston F. | Manager, Software Engineering, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

I love that there are easy to use dashboards taking information that is also already available in different systems like Jira, and Bitbucket - and makes it easy to be able to grok what is going on from a numbers standpoint. It also helps hold all the teams across the company accountable to have good Jira hygiene to ensure the reporting is as expected. Its pretty easy to add new teams, and begin consuming data. You can absoultey get the same results going directly to each application, however this makes it easy and visible without having to search for the data and where it lives in a consistent way.

I tend to use it on the daily to check in on the heartbeat of the team, see how engaged my developers are, and who deserves recognition for going above and beyond even if its not in a forum that is easily visible to me (code reviews, meetings, etc.).

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

Due to the nature of the refresh happening on a rolling 24 hours, I wish it would reflect changes a bit quicker.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Today, when we are asked on what kind of capacity we have today, tomorrow, and a month from now - much of that is done manually in excel spreadsheets, smartsheets, or other PM tools that are familiar with our Program Managers. The data is readily available in Jira, however finding it can sometimes require a more power user approach, and each user can customize it so it makes measuring across the Enterprise org difficult. Jellyfish makes that easy, and enables quick adoption by new users - providing a consistent way to measure and share capacity when doing thigns like Quarterly Planning.

Because its a known tool by PMs its also useful when asked to 'prove' the numbers behind our estimates when doing Quarterly Planning exercises.

**Official Response from Nour Sadek:**

> Love hearing that you are happy with the Jellyfish platform and are finding our insights helpful in giving you a single pane of glass as well as a way to recognize those going above and beyond. Thanks for taking the time to share these notes!

  ### 4. Insightful and Elegant

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eduardo B. | Engineering Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

Jellyfish is a daily companion for our team. We use it regularly to track progress, and review metrics on a weekly basis to inform our planning and retrospectives. It’s easy to use, even for non-technical team members, and the overall interface is clean and approachable. The graphs are beautiful, useful, and easy to interpret, which makes spotting trends or anomalies straightforward.

I also really appreciate the powerful filtering capabilities, which let us cut the data by team, time range, epic, ticket or delivery status in just a few clicks. The integrations with tools like GitHub and Jira work smoothly and help bring everything into one place.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

The initial setup experience could be smoother. While the documentation is decent, configuring access and getting the right level of granularity in the data takes a fair amount of time and effort. For teams without a dedicated resource, this might be a bit of a hurdle.

Additionally, one issue I've noticed with their AI usage metrics is that "advanced users" are identified based on cumulative usage volume. This can be misleading, high usage doesn’t necessarily equate to expertise or effectiveness. A more nuanced or behavior-based measure would better reflect actual proficiency with the tool.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teams performance and visibility

  ### 5. Useful Metrics Tool That Accommodates a Complex Team Structure

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rebecca L. | Scrum Master, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

The "Hierarchy" feature in Jellyfish allowed us to configure our Teams and all other levels of the organization in a way that worked best for us, utilizing some unique JIRA setup and methods. Because we were able to do this initial breakout, we can present metrics to management in all the various ways they require despite some nuances we had to work around.

We were also able to streamline several spreadsheets into one, which feeds into Jellyfish for our organization, and saves us time on manual data entry and manipulation.

While setting up Jellyfish or fielding questions, we can always easily click through to the raw data in JIRA or GitHub to take a closer look, which is essential for troubleshooting.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

A custom report/charts feature would be nice; or, having a little more flexibility to customize some of the existing charts would help. Jellyfish also has some explicit ways of considering work complete based on JIRA that we were able to mostly adapt to, but things may not be that flexible for other companies.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is saving several hours of work for a handful of managers on our team each month, which in turn saves me time.

It also exposes some key metrics to management so we can identify where and how to improve the Scrum Teams, all in one place.

  ### 6. Great Metrics Overview, But Incentivizes Unproductive Behaviors

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

It provides aggregated views of various metrics, such as productivity, speed, etc., which are helpful to objectively see the ongoing progress/improvements.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

It incentivizes commits and comments on PRs, knowing which, developers can leave very basic review comments (nitpicks) and their metrics would boost. Also, knowing that Jellyfish tracks commits per day as a metric, it can lead to developers making a habit of committing after every small code change, potentially after every line change.
Jellyfish needs to be smart to identify these and discard (or not incentivize) such patterns.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides objective view of various metrics around developers, which can assist in viewing their performance through same lens.

**Official Response from Nour Sadek:**

> Thank you for sharing your honest feedback. I will be sure to share your notes back with our team to review. Glad you're finding productivity and delivery metrics helpful for managing performance and addressing inefficiencies.

  ### 7. Seamless Integration and Outstanding Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emma H. | IT Operations Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

Integrating the application with our existing software stack was straightforward. The team provided prompt support, and we always received timely answers whenever any issues arose.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

Setting up the software was straightforward, and I managed the integration process without encountering any significant issues. There was nothing about it that I found particularly off-putting.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The team was looking for a way to thoroughly explore development analytics.

**Official Response from Nour Sadek:**

> Thank you for the glowing review, Emma! So great to hear just how much you're benefitting from visibility into development analytics.

  ### 8. Great for Tracking Team Performance and Productivity Trends

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

As a manager, it gives me a lot of insights into the velocity of my team, the spot performance checks, and it's very helpful when it comes time for performance reviews to give me longer term trends on improving productivity or quality.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

For my specific team, we don't really track defects in a way that is reflected in jellyfish. We don't actually use that feature of jellyfish. Benchmarking is also not something I'm particularly interested in.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, Jellyfish helps answer the question, is the team high performing as a whole and are individual team members carrying their weight and if not, what possible clues do I have as to why. Also, I'm looking at trends and if there's a gap in performance that corresponds to a project shift or reorg within the company, that might help explain an otherwise potentially alarming performance drop.

**Official Response from Nour Sadek:**

> Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Glad you're benefitting from all the insights and data available to help improve productivity and delivery!

  ### 9. Jellyfish understands how tech companies work

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

The jellyfish software suite is able to put together connections between your work items in Jira and the actual work committed to your repositories. It meshes the data between these two worlds in a way that could previously only be done by custom scripts and Excel sheets. This saves us time and gives us out-of-the-box business intelligence about where we are investing resources. In turn, this allows us to compare our espoused business strategy to our actual resource allocation.

At it's core, Jellyfish lets us see if we're putting our money where our mouth is.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

Getting everything set up does require a lot of investment. But, the more you put into the software, the more it gives back. But, if there was a magic button to get all your developers and theirs salaries into the system, that would be great.

It also requires engineers to properly connect their commits in GitHub to the Jira ticket that spawned the work. There are many cases where that doesn't happen or where there simply isn't a ticket. I understand that this is a process hygiene problem, but it's still a point of failure in the way Jellyfish collects data.

I appreciate that the JF staff is up front about both of the above friction points.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our C-Suite and Board need to know what we are working on at the strategic initiative level. Our teams know what they are working on at a more granular level. Translating that granular, ticket-and-epic-based information into data digestible by our leadership in the way that they need the data was a tedious, manual process that was subject to drift depending on who was preparing it. Jellyfish solves this problem with built-in quantitative displays that we can customize to our business imperatives.

**Official Response from Nour Sadek:**

> Thank you for the thorough review! Glad to hear you're benefiting from our out of the box quantitative views that can be customized for your business goals.

  ### 10. Custom Alerts and Tracking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David P. | Tech Lead Arquitectura, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

What notifies me when an Epic is about to expire.
I can see the status of activities and the team's performance without having to log into Jira.
I have centralized the information from Jira and Github in one place.
I can focus on performance analysis and see possible improvements for team members.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

There are some errors in the synchronization of information, alerts of open pull requests, which were actually already closed, giving false positives.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralize the information from different sources like GitHub and Jira, which provides a more accurate view of the team's work, allowing easy identification of areas for improvement.

**Official Response from Nour Sadek:**

> Thank you for taking the time to review us, David! Appreciate your feedback, and love hearing that you're finding great value from the improved visibility, centralized information, and insights for improvement.

  ### 11. Powerful Visibility and Alignment Tool for Product & Engineering Teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eduardo B. | Product Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

Jellyfish clarifies how our engineering initiatives align with the company's strategic objectives. The integration with Jira and Git is smooth, and the visualizations greatly assist in conveying priorities among stakeholders. We can effortlessly track the time allocated to customer work, technical debt, and innovation. Additionally, it serves as a valuable tool for quarterly planning and post-mortem evaluations.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

Although the product is powerful, the onboarding process requires some adaptation—particularly in grasping the effects of tagging and categorization. The learning curve is beneficial, but enhanced in-app guidance or tooltips would be advantageous.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jellyfish assists in tackling critical questions such as, "Are we focusing on the right priorities?" and "How are we utilizing our engineering resources?" This tool is particularly beneficial for aligning leadership amongst Product, Engineering, and Finance teams. It has minimized friction during roadmap discussions and has enhanced our confidence in resource distribution.

  ### 12. Fast Setup, Simplifies KPI Reporting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrian S.

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

I used the Jellyfish platform to build consistent dashboards and KPIs like DORA and SPACE. Jellyfish helps solve problems like manual, time-consuming reporting and reduces manual reporting work. The initial setup of Jellyfish was fast.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

More affordable pricing tiers need

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jellyfish helps solve manual, time-consuming reporting and reduces manual reporting work.

**Official Response from Adlana Estephanian:**

> Thank you for the review! Glad Jellyfish is helping simplify KPI reporting and reduce manual reporting work.

  ### 13. Insightful and Effective Tool for Engineering Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

Jellyfish provides clear visibility into engineering operations, helping us align team efforts with business priorities. I especially appreciate the detailed metrics on engineering allocation and delivery trends. The dashboards are intuitive and the reporting features make it easy to communicate progress with stakeholders. It's been instrumental in driving data-informed decisions for our team.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

While the platform is powerful, the initial setup and integration with some engineering tools took longer than expected

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jellyfish helps solve the challenge of understanding how engineering teams are spending their time and whether those efforts align with company priorities. It brings transparency to engineering operations, making it easier to identify bottlenecks, track delivery performance, and allocate resources effectively. As a result, we’re able to prioritize better, improve team efficiency, and have more informed conversations with leadership based on real data instead of assumptions.

**Official Response from Nour Sadek:**

> Appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are delighted that we've brought transparency and effective resource allocation to your engineering teams. Keep on glowing!

  ### 14. Great Interface and Insights, but Needs Sprint Filtering at Org Level

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raimundo P. | Agile Coach and Jira Admin, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

The interface and the information provided on the tool helps a lot

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

I can not filter by sprint if I am on an workstream ( org ) level

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Capex report and performance tracking features are useful for monitoring investments and evaluating how well projects are progressing. They help provide a clear overview of capital expenditures and make it easier to assess performance over time.

**Official Response from Nour Sadek:**

> Thank you for the glowing review, Raimundo! Glad to hear you're benefitting from keeping a pulse on how projects are progressing.

  ### 15. Good product to work with

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abe K. | VP, Technical Program Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

Does a great job at pulling together metrics and insights from multiple sources to give us a single pane of glass view of engineering health. I like the fact that their product teams have the ear to the ground, bring together feedback from industry and users, to continuously evolve the product

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

I cannot think of anything at this time. Nothing of significance

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Insights and metrics of the R&D teams

**Official Response from Nour Sadek:**

> Thanks for taking the time to review Jellyfish, Abe! Glad to hear you're benefitting from having a centralized place for insights and metrics for your R&D teams.

  ### 16. Great for Team Allocation, Dashboards Can be an Improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rodrigo M. | Director of Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

The information about where the teams are allocated at is really easy to consume.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

Metrics and dashboards could be improved by allowing a more flexible dashboard implementation (more like a "control panel" approach).

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seeing where my team's time & effort is being allocated help me better understand whether we are focusing on the right priorities or not.

**Official Response from Nour Sadek:**

> Thank you for this positive review, Rodrigo! Glad you're benefitting from better understanding where your team is spending their time and improved alignment with business priorities.

  ### 17. Great Centralized Metrics and Team Pulse, but Needs Better Workgroup Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Inês B. | Engineering Operations Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

I appreciate having a centralized view of all metrics and sprints, and I especially enjoy the Team Pulse feature.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

In our situation, we are unable to create workgroups within Jellyfish, which limits us, particularly when we have workgroups nested within our delivery teams. Relying solely on Delivery Area or Team feels restrictive in these cases.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralized metrics, good sprint and allocation views

**Official Response from Nour Sadek:**

> Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us, Inês. Glad that you're finding our centralized view of metrics, sprints, and allocation beneficial. I will be sure to pass on your feedback to our team!

  ### 18. Elevating how we manage our product portfolio

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

Jellyfish has strengthened our product organization’s ability to operate with data-driven decision-making. We can clearly see how our development and engineering work aligns to our investments and roadmaps to create better proactive tradeoffs and validation on what we should pursue.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

Would love to see more capabilities for product-led companies and the product leader’s perspective

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Predictable and reliable delivery rhythm, forecasting ability, identify misalignment between planned and actual work, validation of investments.

**Official Response from Nour Sadek:**

> Thank you for taking the time to write this glowing review! Glad to hear you're benefitting from clear visibility into work allocations and improved planning.

  ### 19. Must-have engineering intelligence platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

It's an invaluable tool for engineering leaders seeking to understand the environment in which their teams work. It enables tracking of trends across various investment types, such as Growth, Support, and Technical, while also providing analysis of SDLC bottlenecks and overall efficiency metrics. This helps leaders determine the right moments and areas for intervention.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

There’s nothing I dislike about it. I do think there are a few additional features that could be added to save time, but overall, it’s a comprehensive and useful tool when used for the right purposes.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understand and visualise with data my teams pressure points and bottlenecks. Visualising trends across quarters

**Official Response from Nour Sadek:**

> Thank you for the glowing review!

  ### 20. Great for Centralized Metrics, but Needs Custom Views and PTO Integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

Having all the key metrics for our business available in a single location is extremely helpful. The ability to customize how we view various activities makes it much easier to spot blind spots and refine our processes, allowing us to operate as efficiently as possible.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

I wish there was an option to create custom views, especially a 'team level' home page that would help provide greater visibility for my engineers. Another feature I would really appreciate is the ability to factor in PTO when looking at our metrics. When someone is out for an extended period, or if several team members are away in the same week, it can significantly affect our numbers.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool provides valuable visibility into our SDLC, helping us stay accountable while also highlighting blind spots and bottlenecks in our processes.

**Official Response from Nour Sadek:**

> Thank you for the positive review! Glad to hear you're benefitting from a centralized view of key metrics to help you identify bottlenecks and blind spots.

  ### 21. Insightful Team Investment Insights (Avoid Individual Tracking)

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

Jellyfish excels at tracking team performance, guiding strategic investments, and identifying high-impact themes. Its new AI features are outstanding for improving operational efficiency.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

While Jellyfish is fantastic for team-level insights, its individual-level tracking should be avoided—it’s better to focus on collective outcomes rather than personal performance.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jellyfish helps us track how our engineering teams are investing their time and resources, ensuring we align our work with strategic priorities. It surfaces trends and themes across projects, allowing us to identify areas that need more attention or could be optimized. With the new AI features, we can quickly pinpoint efficiency gaps and make data-driven decisions to improve output. This has led to better prioritization, increased team alignment, and more confidence that we’re investing in the right areas.

**Official Response from Nour Sadek:**

> Appreciate you sharing your candid feedback. We are glad to hear we're helping you align engineering work with strategic priorities and improve operational efficiency!

  ### 22. Jellyfish is evolving, and taking us together

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pavan V. | VP of engineering, Financial Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

The metrics are labeled and explained clearly with the info tags -> When adopting new tools, deriving value for the team and seeing the impact will take time, jellyfish is reasonably self-explorable and easy to understand right now

Gives me several options to view metrics, depending on the level of JIRA hygiene.

As a developer myself, the webhook data visibililty on DORA, helps me and my teams understand whats going wrong, nice!

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

As a product that goes through a lot of feature building, we have hit snags with broken UI, data refresh etc in the early stages. Which is being taken care of. On the positive side, the customer support teams have quickly jumped in to help unblock.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understand team metrics, individuals involvement with initiatives, plan capacity

  ### 23. Great for Tracking Commits, No Complaints

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

I can easily track Git commits and monitor my progress, gaining all the insights I need. The interface is straightforward and simple to use.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

It is helpful for me. I am exploring it now.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need to track git commits on a daily and time basis. This makes it easier to gain those insights.

**Official Response from Nour Sadek:**

> Thank you for the glowing review, Ravi! Glad to hear you're finding it easy to track progress and make the most of the actionable insights.

  ### 24. Fast, insightful metrics tracking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Gambling & Casinos | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

  ### 25. Engineering manager for a tech company

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

Makes tracking sprint metrics, PR review rates, and everything else you need to know to fine tune your team very easy... when you use Jira in the right way. As long as you use Jira in the standard way, jellyfish just works, and it works great.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

One of my teams is an enablement team, not a domain team, and we set up our jira boards to work off of labels instead of by project. This makes it much harder to track, since I can't group tickets or sprints by label. I simply don't use jellyfish for that team. If they added the ability to group by a label, I would use it for every team.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy metrics for measuring team velocity and productivity

**Official Response from Nour Sadek:**

> Thank you for sharing your candid feedback. Glad you're finding the Jellyfish insights into velocity and productivity helpful!

  ### 26. Great tool for team tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shiwangi M. | Software Development Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

I appreciate its team pulse feature, which helps in reviewing stuck pull requests and tickets.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

Jellyfish lacks integration with the Outlook calendar.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use this to track my time, which makes it easier for me to generate reports when needed. It helps in tracking bug to feature ratio to analyze where the issue lies, either with requirements or implementation.

**Official Response from Nour Sadek:**

> Thank you for the glowing review, Shiwangi! Glad to hear you're finding our platform valuable. I have shared your feedback with our team.

  ### 27. We love using Jellyfish!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jaime Adalberto L. | Senior Vice President Of Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

As an engineering leader, I’ve seen how Jellyfish has transformed the way we work. We've significantly improved alignment with Product and Finance teams, enabling better tracking and decision-making. Since adopting Jellyfish, our team performance has increased by around 30%, and project delivery has become more consistent and predictable. It also gives us real visibility into team health—velocity, cycle time, and more, so we can continuously improve.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

Jellyfish has been a game-changer for our engineering organization. Honestly, there's nothing I dislike about the tool, it’s intuitive, insightful, and consistently adds value. It just works.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jellyfish helps us solve the lack of visibility into engineering work and team capacity. It connects engineering efforts with business priorities, which improves communication with Product and Finance. As a result, we’ve seen better project delivery rates, improved team performance (around 30% increase), and a more data-driven approach to managing team health and productivity.

  ### 28. Much needed platform for engineering and product operations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hovhannes G. | Senior Director of Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

Jellyfish provides a great set of features, dashboards, and metrics to help you be on top of your engineering and product operations.
Without it, you stitch 10 tools togetter and fight multiple custom integrations.
With it, you have a single pane of glass view for your engineering and part of the product ops.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

It can feel a bit cluttered as a lot of things are packed into a single interface.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provides visibility to a lot of engineering metrics, which helps to be on top of engineering excellence and performance measurement.

**Official Response from Nour Sadek:**

> Thank you for the glowing review, Hovhannes! Glad to hear you're getting the visibility you need - all in one place - in order to keep your finger on the pulse.

  ### 29. Great for Tracking Projects and Team Dynamics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

It gives a good overview of what's going on in the organization: Which projects are ongoing, how much of the backlog is being worked on, what are the key focus areas, what people are working on. How does the team members interact with each other, what are the trends.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

Sometimes it's hard to understand / hard to find the documentation about how a specific metric is calculated.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitoring what is being worked on, trends of team metrics, activity and interactions of developers is transparent.

**Official Response from Nour Sadek:**

> Thank you for the glowing review! Glad you're finding Jellyfish useful for a transparent view and actionable insights on projects, bottlenecks, and team health.

  ### 30. Great product with a few caveats

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Gambling & Casinos | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

It's really easy to get going and find metrics that I care about. We have found it good for comparing teams, so we can sometimes show our engineers how other teams are doing and that prompts a whole bunch of discussions. Also, not directly related to Jellyfish, but they have great webinars.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

There are many junk metrics that I would like to get out from the way. There are a few bugs and apparently no way to easily report them. And it would be great to have the metrics directly on a Confluence page with a filter. The UI keeps changing, which sometimes makes sense, but also breaks things and adds to cognitive load. Also, when looking at metrics, if there is an option to view metrics by Sprint, why I always have to select also dates? That seems counter-intuitive.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I get metrics easily to present to teams and then talk with them what we want to change. We have seen great increases in productivity and our ability to respond to change.

  ### 31. Great functionality with simple yet powerful design

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

There is a good selection of various metrics and dashboards, which helps me identify areas where our work can be improved. The platform offers great functionalities within a fairly intuitive interface.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

It's difficult to say for sure, but I think improved integration with Intellij Junie, if that's possible, would be a great addition.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping me in unblocking my team members in their daily challenges but also helps me to find places where we are stuck or what is our bottleneck which we should analyse during Retros.

**Official Response from Nour Sadek:**

> Thanks for the review. Glad to hear you're benefiting from identifying bottlenecks and unblocking your team!

  ### 32. Incredible Tool Providing Actionable Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jake C. | Vice President Of Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

Jellyfish is easy to use once it is configured for your environment. Set up is easy and straightforward. If you can capture it in Jira, it can be surfaced in Jellyfish. Our primary use case was borad-level insights and reporting. It was trivial to add the necessary metadata to Jira, allowing us to slice-and-dice the data as needed to present different views of resource allocation (e.g., by functional area, business area, etc.) for board presentation. Our seconday use case was Software Cost Capitalization. Again, this was easy to set up and the resultant data was clear, concise, and able to be used directly with our financial reporting.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

Jellyfish's pricing model is a per-seat model for engineers making contributions to the product. This means that the annual cost increases as the team size grows. Jellyfish maintains that ALL engineers can benefit from logging into the system so, in that case,a per-seat charge might make sense. However, if your use-0case is such that only a handful of users (e.g., CTO, VPEs, Product Leaders) login to Jellyfish, a per-login model might be more palatable.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our biggest concerns were with board-level reporting and software cost capirtalization. Jellyfish is completelt meeting that need.

  ### 33. A Clear View of Today, with Data to Guide Tomorrow

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aman J. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

Jellyfish gives me the clarity I need to focus on where I am right now—it provides a current, data-driven snapshot of team performance and delivery metrics. I really value being able to look at what's happening in real time and make informed decisions or adjustments based on those insights. It's not just about tracking; it's about aligning efforts with goals and continuously improving with confidence.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

The platform is powerful, but the initial onboarding can feel a bit overwhelming due to the depth of features available. It takes a little time to fully understand how to interpret all the metrics and dashboards. However, once you get past the learning curve, it becomes an indispensable part of your workflow.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jellyfish is helping solve the challenge of visibility into engineering work and team capacity. Before, it was difficult to get a unified view of how time was being spent or how well we were executing against priorities. With Jellyfish, I can spot trends, rebalance workloads, and make informed, data-backed decisions. It’s enabled better planning, more meaningful conversations with stakeholders, and a stronger focus on outcomes rather than just output.

  ### 34. Makes accounting life easier!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Jellyfish?**

From an accounting perspective, we've had great success with Jellyfish. It makes all of our financial reporting easy. The system is easy to navigate, the data is easy to update and reports are easy to find and run. We use Jellyfish to track capitalizable versus non-capitalizable work, and pull the data quarterly to record in our financials. We also use Jellyfish data for R&D tracking for our tax returns, R&D filings, etc. and have had no problems obtaining what we need from the system. Auditors and tax professionals seem to like the level of supporting documentation that Jellyfish provides.

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

Minor issue, but it would be really nice to be able to update salaries on a mass scale, versus 1 by 1. Maybe this is available and we just don't know how to do it - but I haven't seen anything that looks like it would work for this task.
Otherwise though, no issues and we really like using Jellyfish for its usability and reliability.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking and calculation of capitalizable internal software development

  ### 35. All for Engineering

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

The dashboard provides a comprehensive summary of teams and individuals in a single view, enabling seamless navigation to detailed information for each item. Additionally, Jellyfish offers key performance metrics, such as Sprint Predictability and Cycle Time, which support Scrum Masters in collaborating with teams to optimize story point allocation and enhance overall efficiency

**What do you dislike about Jellyfish?**

encountering a limitation in exporting the user list. If the system only allows copying to the clipboard, you may need to manually paste the data into a spreadsheet application such as Excel or Google Sheets and then save it in the desired format (CSV, XLS, etc.).

If the platform has settings or extensions that enable exporting, I recommend checking the documentation or reaching out to support for possible solutions. Alternatively, depending on the software, there may be third-party tools or scripts that automate the export process.

**What problems is Jellyfish solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One view with all the Sprint progress and allocation for each porject from Deliverable level.

Jellyfish gives metrics of Sprint Predictability and Cycle Time which help Scrum Master to work with team to improve the story proints.
