In an effort to uplevel our Captable to a digital platform, I reached out to explore what features it offered and what the onboarding would entail. From beginning to end, working with the team was a complete joy (how often can we say that- but it's true!). The platform provides such a wide range of useful features from easy document storage, the ability to manage, edit, and share the captable with varying degrees of access, to providing the option of running different scenarios so you can see how certain investments or share allocations would impact the overall cap table. Amazingly well designed! I was fortunate enough to work with a gentleman named Colm for the onboarding- and he was exceptional in providing guidance and requesting documentation, so he (yes, HE!) could upload and input all of the information onto the platform. Whiteglove service with the patience of a saint! He made it so easy and we are looking forward to diving in and sharing this with our stakeholders and using this platform to help inform decision-making as we continue to grow. We worked with another platform in an effort to digitize our captable in an easy to manage, transparent way, and it wasn't a good experience. So we went back to the laborious task of managing it on a giant Excel spreadsheet, which took time for our team to do, and left room for the potential of human error. The platform provided by J.P.Morgan makes it soooo easy, and so clear- its intuitive design makes any edits or additions quick to do and has dramatically saved time. Our investors and stakeholders love being able to quickly and easily pull up their information and see where they stand. The feature that allows us to run different scenarios and see how certain decisions and offerings would impact the overall cap table is a huge benefit to future planning.
