What do you like best about iwave?

iWave is very intuitative and easy to use. Training new users is simple and the videos and trainings provided by iWave are helpful. The data about board members and donations is the best we have found. The screening is straight forward and able to be uploaded. My customer service representative provides excellent support and is quick to respond to any requests. It is a tool we use daily in our office. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iwave?

Like other providers, data does need to be vettted at times and is not all inclusive of a profile. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is iwave solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is providing a well rounded view into a person to understand if they are a good prospect for our industry. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about iwave?

Quickly finding and compiling the information I need has never been easier. The interface makes it the best tool for comparing information and for maximizing my knowledge on a prospect to make an accurate estimated giving capacity estimation for my organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iwave?

I think the search function could be better, like for example if I type "Jonathan" sometimes not all variations of the name are included in redults. Also, I wish there was a better way to confirm identities and differentiate between people with the same name. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is iwave solving and how is that benefiting you?

The biggest thing I use iWave for is quick real estate valuation, and also as a way to compile giving information. This allows me to have quick access to information that I otherwise would not know how to search for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about iwave?

The many modules make iWave the no-brainer for one-stop research and is the best choice for a small shop that can only afford one tool. The screening is just as good as other tools and it's the only tool attempting to screen foundations/companies. I've never had a technical issue with iWave and they communicate when they're down for scheduled maintenance well in advance. I trust the data provided by iWave more than some of the other tools and use it nearly every day. It's quite easy to use and to teach others to use. We do not integrate it with our CRM, but I'm excited to do so when we switch CRMs in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iwave?

I have not had great experience with customer service. The sales reps are pushy and do not do a great job of communicating desired improvements back to the company. Billing is often a trial, since our organization does not allow for auto-renewal. I've never had a technical issue, so I can't speak to their technicians. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is iwave solving and how is that benefiting you?

iWave is the best tool I have for prospect research and helps me find new prospects, pull charitable giving history to compare our gifts with other organizations, find contact information, and more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Bre Alexander of iwave

Thank you for your review, Molly.

We're so glad to hear iWave has been a reliable resource for your organization.

I'm sorry to see your note about your experience with one of our reps, we sincerely apologize that you had a less than stellar experience in that regard. We'll be sure to look into this further and provide additional training.

Regarding providing feedback/desired improvements, please feel free to email feedback@iwave.com directly to have your feedback captured and sent to our product team.

What do you like best about iwave?

iWave is an intuitive tool that I use daily to enhance my donor wealth research. It is especially helpful for finding charitable giving information, identifying real estate ownership, and getting an overview of a donor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iwave?

One challenge I find when using iWave compared to other tools is the difficulty in matching the results to my intended donor. When looking up someone with a common name, there can be thousands of results, and it takes time to weed through each one to determine which rows of data are related to my prospect and which are not. Some other tools I have used for donor research allow you to filter with a bit more ease (such as by linking the person's name to their known address) or provide a confidence level for each result so you can more quickly sort and filter results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is iwave solving and how is that benefiting you?

I mainly use iWave to cross-reference data found in other databases such as Lexis and DonorSearch. It gives me more confidence in my analysis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Bre Alexander of iwave

Hi Suzy,

Thanks so much for your review. We're glad to hear that you find iWave to be an excellent wealth screening solution for your organization.

We appreciate your feedback regarding common names and lookups. I have an article that may be of help in this avenue, when using Smart Search, iWave does have a confidence of match setting you can use: https://support.iwave.com/s/article/Confidence-of-Match. Please reach out to our support team to learn more (support@iwave.com)

We appreciate your feedback and welcome additional notes in future. Thanks again, Suzy!

What do you like best about iwave?

I love that if I only had iWave I could still do my work seamlessly. It has all the basics needed like charitable AND political philanthropy, job history and employer descriptions, revenue and other company details, real estate that can be searched by address or name, and info for other countries so I can find something about international prospects. And the design is really smooth and easy to use and follow. The information is very clear. This really is my favorite source. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iwave?

Nothing really. The only other thing I think would be neat is if they could tell you about properties that used to be in the person's name but they since sold it. But I just search old addresses and look in iWave's transaction section and find it with ease. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is iwave solving and how is that benefiting you?

It solves finding political donations that match my person because it gives other identifying information such as the address so I can cross check that it is my person. It helps me discover what the company's real revenue is most likely to be and how many employees they have. iWave benefits me all around by being my rock to crossreference with any other database and check the accuracy of the other databases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Bre Alexander of iwave

Thank you so much for your review! We are so happy to hear that you consider iWave your "one stop shop." We are constantly striving to provide the most comprehensive information to our clients, so we appreciate your feedback about potentially adding information on past property ownership.

To capture this information in the future, might we suggest setting up smart alerts: https://support.iwave.com/s/article/Smart-Alerts -- please reach out to your CSM or our support team (support@iwave.com) if you'd like to learn more about this feature.

Please do let us know at any time if you have additional feedback, thanks again!

What do you like best about iwave?

My favorite feature of iWave is the Donations tab. It's robust and easily sortable by a number of very important factors. It also is a unique aspect of the platform, and performs better than similar initiatives provided by other parties. For example, we used NOZA before for donations data, and iWave is far superior. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iwave?

Least helpful is that iWave's screening results are unchangeable, even after changing the information within each profile. Typically, there are plenty of deletions and additions for accuracy on each profile, yet it cannot change the subsequent data for the screenings. Meaning post-verification overall reporting is unhelpful and the ability to prioritize based on the screening data isn't helpful either. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is iwave solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's a time-saver because it's comprehensive. It's customizable and relatively accurate. Requires less verification than other parties. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Bre Alexander of iwave

Thank you for your review! We are so pleased to hear that you find our platform user-friendly, robust, and helpful. Glad to hear that the Donations tab is your favorite feature. We appreciate your feedback on the screening results, we are continuously working to improve our platform to better meet the needs of our users.

What do you like best about iwave?

One of the standout features of iWave is its expansive database, which boasts a wealth of information on potential donors, including wealth indicators, philanthropic history, and giving capacity. The depth and accuracy of the data provided by iWave are unparalleled, enabling fundraisers to pinpoint the most promising prospects and tailor their outreach strategies accordingly.product Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iwave?

The only downside to using iWave is that sometimes the data is simply unfindable! So you can't assume that just because iWave didn't find it...it isn't there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is iwave solving and how is that benefiting you?

The depth and accuracy of the data provided by iWave are unparalleled, enabling our team to pinpoint the most promising prospects and tailor outreach strategies accordingly. Prospect research is an art AND a science, and this tool has been particularly helpful in balancing that line. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about iwave?

The data is reliably recent and accurate - I generally feel confident that I am providing good contact (especially email addresses) and charitable giving information along to my stakeholders, and I see more recent giving in iWave than in most of our other resources. It's usually the first or second resource I consult when I'm researching a person or company. It makes my job easier every day.

I love the advanced donation search options. Super helpful for finding donors with very specific interests. As of now, we do not really use the ratings but that may change once we do an institution screening.

Account support has been great. Our rep has been very responsive and helpful when our team has had questions or needed training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iwave?

I recently had to research a multi-location company with a name that could also be a person's name (think Smith Robinson company). Even though I specifically did an institution 360 search AND specified a state, the results included dozens to hundereds of charitable giving records for individuals with combinations/variations of the names across the US,along with dozens of variations on the company name (which I know is a data entry issue, but it can get overwhelming). Using quotation marks didn't help. Far too many variations for filtering results to be useful. I was surprised it didn't just supress non-institution results.

I find it hard to navigate - as I click through results, sometimes I see tabs, sometimes I have to back-arrow to get to my original search. The "section headings" at the top are confusing and not useful - for example, I just did a 360 search. In the main results, I clicked on Charitable Donations. But if I want to look at another section, I can't just click on the heading up top while I have Donations open - all that does is tell me about the data provided in that section. I have to go back away from Donations, then click in the main results to see Wealth Indicators or something else. I spend a lot of time clicking around to revisit pages I've already looked at. I would love to have everything I open in a tab that doesn't go away until I close it.

MORE SORTING AND FILTERING OPTIONS FOR COMPANY EMPLOYEES, PLEASE! I see that Executives are now separated out, but it's just a list of names and titles - no locations, and if it is a large company or you need a specific job title (say, marketing manager in your geographic area), there is not a way to sort/filter/search the list of hundreds. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is iwave solving and how is that benefiting you?

I can easily get good contact information for our fundraisers, which helps them reach out in a timely manner and makes me look like a rock star. Charitable giving info is reliable, so helps us determine target asks, and whether they are a worthwhile prospect. Helps with data verification and makes my job easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about iwave?

-iWave has helped us to track down more curent contact information for our indidviual donors.

-For corporations, I have been able to export a file containing contact information for all employees. We've been able to get past gate keepers and go right to the decisions makers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iwave?

-For individuals, I've noticed that it doesn't always pull in all the phone numbers when building the iWave report.

-It doesn't always show all the donations a person has made. I can tell when looking up individuals that have given to our organization and I don't see all the donations listed. Seems to be behind acouple years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is iwave solving and how is that benefiting you?

For individual donors, we are finding more up-to-date contact info.

For corporate donors, we are finding ocntact info for the people who make decisions and getting past the gatekeepers.

For foundations, we are finding what their interests are and who, sometimes, contact info for decision makers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about iwave?

iWave is a terrific resource for information on individuals. It's easy to find their giving history and data. Plus, you can track down names and contact information for foundations and companies of interest. It's so easy to use. The customer support is very responsive and always willing to help explain how best to use the system. I also like their ongoing webinar series that offers tips on how best to use iWave in fundraising. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iwave?

It relies on outside data for screening, so if there are multiple people with the same name, it can skew the screening results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is iwave solving and how is that benefiting you?

iWave helps with researching prospective funders--including foundations and companies. It helps us to find names and contact information at foundations and companies we are prospecting. It also helps us to review individual prospects to identify those with greatest capacity and affinity. It's a tremendous time saver in these ways. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
