"Streamlined, Automated Patch Management with Strong Visibility and Prioritization"

5/5

What do you like best about Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management?

Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management is how it streamlines the entire patching process and cuts down on manual work for IT teams. The platform provides solid visibility into missing patches, device health, and vulnerabilities from a single dashboard, which makes day-to-day monitoring much easier.

I also find the third-party application patching especially valuable, since many security risks come from non-Microsoft applications.

I appreciate how it helps me prioritize critical patches quickly, making it easier to address vulnerabilities before they turn into bigger problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management?

One thing I dislike about Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management is that the interface can sometimes feel overly complex, especially for new users. Some configurations and policy settings take time to fully understand, so there’s a noticeable learning curve during initial setup and ongoing management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management helps solve one of the biggest IT and security challenges keeping systems updated and protected against vulnerabilities without requiring constant manual work.

The biggest benefit for me is the automation and visibility it provides. Instead of manually tracking devices and patch status, the platform gives a centralized dashboard to monitor compliance, deployment progress, and device health. It also supports remote and hybrid environments, which makes patching distributed teams much easier and more efficient.

Another valuable feature is its risk-based prioritization. Rather than patching everything blindly, the platform helps focus on vulnerabilities that pose the highest real-world risk. This improves response time for critical threats and helps organizations meet security SLAs faster.

In terms of pricing, Ivanti uses a quote-based model that generally depends on the number of devices, deployment type, and selected modules.

Support is generally comprehensive, including phone, email, live chat, technical documentation, webinars, and knowledge base resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Automation and risk based patching, but setup takes time"

4/5

What do you like best about Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management?

What I like most is the risk based prioritization feature. Instead of just patching everything blindly by standard CVSS scores, it uses Vulnerability Risk Rating to focus on active threats and ransomware. The automated patching and ring deployment save our IT team tons of manual hours every week across Windows and third-party apps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management?

The initial configuration and learning curve are pretty steep. Setting up custom patch deployment policies and getting familiar with the UI takes a while for new admins. Also, the local agents can occasionally freeze or lose connection, which requires manual troubleshooting to get the endpoint reporting properly again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

We were spending way too much time manually checking third-party software updates and dealing with failed patch rollouts. Ivanti solves this by automating third-party patching alongside OS updates with pre-tested deployments. It saves our IT team at least 10-15 hours a week and keeps our remote endpoints secure without breaking productivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Risk-Aware Patch Management at Scale with Strong Performance"

4/5

What do you like best about Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management?

Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management is a strong fit for organizations that need controlled, risk-aware patching at scale, rather than simply “install everything on Patch Tuesday.” Its biggest advantage is how it helps teams focus on what matters most and roll out updates in a structured, deliberate way. That approach is especially valuable when uptime is critical and change control is a priority. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management?

Cannot be used by small teams. UX is not intuitive to navigate, meaning it has a steep learning curve. Not cheaper when compared to Secops Patch management. Support is great and the performance is also great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

It feels more mature than simple patching tools because it connects patching with security prioritization.

It is a good fit for mixed endpoint environments where you need centralized control.

It can reduce noise by focusing on exposure and remediation order, not just raw patch counts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Automation and Centralized Management Simplifies Our Patching"

4/5

What do you like best about Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management?

I like most about Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management is its automation and centralized management. It makes scheduling and deploying patches across both operating systems and third-party applications straightforward while providing clear visibility into patch compliance and device health. Automation and centralized management save our IT team a significant amount of time by eliminating repetitive patching tasks and allowing us to manage all endpoints from a single console. We can schedule deployments during maintenance windows, monitor patch compliance in real time, and quickly identify devices that need attention without switching between multiple tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management?

I find that the initial setup and ongoing configuration can be complex for larger environments. The user interface can also feel overwhelming at times, especially when navigating advanced settings or creating custom patching policies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management to automate patch deployment, solving the challenge of consistent device updates. Its automation and centralized management save time and simplify scheduling, deploying, and monitoring patch compliance from one console. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"High-Octane Patching with a Steep Learning Curve"

5/5

What do you like best about Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management?

Unlike some native tools (like Microsoft Intune or WSUS) that struggle with non-Windows apps, Ivanti handles Windows, macOS, Linux, and over 350+ third-party applications (Chrome, Zoom, Adobe, etc.) in one interface. This eliminates the "silo effect" where your OS is secure but your PDF reader is a wide-open door for hackers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management?

1. Agent Reliability and "Healthy Environment" Tax

One of the most frequent complaints from sysadmins is that the local agents can be finicky.

The Issue: Agents may occasionally hang, crash, or lose connection, requiring manual intervention to "fix the fixer."

The Impact: In a large environment, managing the health of the Ivanti agent itself can become a weekly task, partially offsetting the time saved by automation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

The Fix: Risk-Based Prioritization (VRR)Traditional tools give you a giant list of "Critical" patches based on theoretical severity (CVSS). Ivanti filters this by looking at what hackers are actually doing in the wild. The Benefit to You: You stop "chasing ghosts." Instead of patching 1,000 items because they might be dangerous, you focus on the 50 that are currently being used in active ransomware campaigns. This drastically reduces your "Mean Time to Remediate" (MTTR). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Patch Automation and Clear Compliance Reporting with Ivanti Neurons"

5/5

What do you like best about Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management?

"What I like most about Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management is its ability to automate the entire patching process. It can identify missing patches, deploy them based on policies, and provide clear compliance reporting, which reduces the amount of manual work required. I also like the visibility it gives into device health and patch status, making it much easier to identify vulnerable systems and ensure endpoints remain secure. The ability to schedule deployments, target specific device groups, and integrate with broader endpoint management tools makes it a very efficient solution for managing large environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management?

One downside of Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management is that it has a fairly steep learning curve, particularly when configuring policies, deployment rings, and reporting for the first time. The interface can also feel overwhelming because of the number of features available. In larger environments, troubleshooting failed deployments can sometimes require more investigation than expected, and some advanced reporting or integrations take additional configuration. Overall, though, the automation and visibility it provides outweigh these drawbacks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management helps solve the challenge of keeping devices up to date and secure across the organisation. Without an automated patch management solution, tracking missing updates, deploying patches, and verifying compliance would be time-consuming and prone to human error. Ivanti automates these processes, ensuring security vulnerabilities are addressed quickly and consistently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Patch Prioritization and Confident Phased Rollouts"

4/5

What do you like best about Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management?

What I like most about Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management is how much it streamlines prioritization for me. Instead of sifting through endless CVSS scores, I can lean on the Vulnerability Risk Rating to focus on the patches that truly put my environment at risk. Since it’s cloud-native, I’m able to patch every endpoint I’m responsible for—whether remote, hybrid, or on-prem—and schedule or stage deployments in a way that fits my team’s needs. The automated ring deployment also gives me confidence to roll patches out in phases. On top of that, being able to manage Windows, macOS, Linux, and third-party apps from a single console has dramatically reduced my manual workload while still keeping me on top of compliance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management?

What I like least about Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management is the learning curve. The interface can feel complex, and it took me a fair amount of time and training to get comfortable with everything the platform can do. I’ve also run into occasional stability and performance hiccups depending on how things are configured. When I’ve needed help, the support experience hasn’t always matched the quality of the product itself. On top of that, the pricing is on the higher end, so I often find myself having to justify the cost. None of these are dealbreakers for me, but they’re the main areas where I’d most like to see improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management addresses the challenge of keeping every endpoint patched across a sprawling, mixed environment. Previously, manually tracking and deploying updates across hundreds of devices—many of them remote or off the corporate network—was nearly impossible to do consistently. Now I can patch them all from the cloud, no matter where they are, and the risk-based prioritization helps me focus on the vulnerabilities that actually expose us first instead of trying to chase every CVE.

Automation has dramatically reduced my manual workload and cut down on the human errors that used to slip in. At the same time, the compliance reporting helps me identify and act on devices before they drift out of policy. Overall, the result is a stronger security posture with far less time and effort, along with real confidence that we’re protected against the threats that matter most. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
