**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris W. | Legal Counsel, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad is simple and straightforward (it is also very effective out of the box), BUT it has significant power and capability beyond that. The interface for our end users is intuitive, and the legal team is doing more by doing less.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Would love an out-of-the-box integration with Jira. Some of the pricing has changed and doesn't meet our orgs needs as readily. Lack of support for clickwrap is frustrating.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad is helping scale our legal team. We can now provide more insight into the contracting process to our other internal teams. We can easily manage document signing, storage, and reporting with Ironclad.

 ### 7. User friendly and innovative CLM platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ummu F. | Legal Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I love Ironclad. I have been a power user for over three years (from previous company and my current employer company). It has saved the legal team and other departments such as Sales, People Experience and Procurement so much time. Prior to Ironclad we were doing everything manually and was a tedious process ensuring that each change is checked and double checked. With Ironclad, all our templates are streamlined and integrated with Salesforce which removes the double entry and manual work.

We love the editing features and the new dashboards. It's so intuitive and user friendly! I find this to be the most user friendly CLM in comparison to the other CLM's that I tried out. Adoption rate is also high because it is such an intuitive system.

We also appreciate that Ironclad continues to work with their customers to improve their platform and add new features as they grow.

I have been lucky to be able to work with both companies that implemented Ironclad as it also means I continue to grow my Itonclad skills.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

With any CLM there are always rooms for improvements and I think the feedback I get most from the users in my current company is the repository and how this can be improved for better usage.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Love the new insights feature! As well as the new introduction of turn tracking as this is something we were reporting on manually (by adding into the launch form). So having this new feature released soon, it will help with the reporting.

**Official Response from Mikaela Waters:**

> Thank you so much for this review, Ummu! We love working with you and are so happy to hear that Ironclad has saved you and your team time. We’re also happy to hear that you are loving Ironclad Insights!

Thank you, as well, for the Repository feedback. I've linked a resource from our Help Center outlining Repository features, including key improvements. Please reach out if this doesn't solve your problem so that we can better help you.

 ### 8. Advanced Features Shine, But Basic Usability Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

The platform is intelligent and adds substantial value as a contract lifecycle management tool. The creators thought of excellent advanced features that simplify the CLM processes and add operational insights.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The platform is not mature. Basic functionality, such as the generic search, does not work well. The system is great with the advanced features, but basic usability is clunky and frustrating. Additionally, Jurist is not yet integrated with the platform, which is a huge disconnect.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It centralized and standardizes contract processes, which allows us to create and enforce uniform business rules across the organization. It also speeds up the contracting process and enables analytical insight by structuring key data.

 ### 9. Streamlines Agreement Execution with Powerful Search and Compliance Features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Aviation & Aerospace | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad is a tremendous platform for enabling teams to execute agreements quickly and consistently. The document repository makes it easy to search for a single document or multiple document types for a period of time. The ability to build approval controls into the workflows greatly simplifies compliance with approval requirements.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Ironclad is very responsive to feedback from customers and is quick to update its system to address pain points.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad allows users to operate confidently with a high degree of independence which expedites the contracting process and minimizes the need for legal input.

 ### 10. Helps Us Move Faster - Powerful Contract Management Platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Divya H. | Lead Technical Product Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

he automation features are fantastic. What used to take days now takes minutes. Ironclad really helped standardize how we handle contracts across departments, and the audit trail gives us peace of mind.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Some parts of the admin experience still feel clunky, especially when updating templates or bulk editing workflows. Also wish there was more built-in training material for new users.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad helps us keep all our contracts in one place and makes the whole process way smoother. Before, we were stuck with emails, spreadsheets, and a lot of chasing people for updates. Now, we can track where a contract is, who needs to do what, and get things done faster. It’s saved us time, reduced back-and-forth, and made it easier for teams like Legal and Sales to work together without slowing things down.

 ### 11. Ironclad: A reliable and leading CLM tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nadia H. | Legal Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad is a user friendly contracts management tool. It allows companies to create a process to manage, review, and archive their commercial and vendor contracts in one location (under one roof). It's ability to integrate with third-party tools allows for seameless process, and forces teams to think about creating/managing all of their contracts.

Ironclad's support team is phenomal and always quite responsive.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Ironclad needs to work on providing better reporting. In August, 2002, they released their Insights feature; however, I am having a hard time navigating that new feature.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboration to make the negotiating and processing of all contracts to be faster and more efficient. As mentioned above, they recently released their Insights feature for better reporting and metrics.
I also appreciate Ironclad's use of AI for contracts negotiation, review, and redlining.

**Official Response from Mikaela Waters:**

> Thank you for the review, Nadia! We’re so happy to hear that you have had a positive experience working with our support team - I’ll be sure to pass that feedback along to them.

We’ll reach out directly to see how we can help with Insights. I’ve linked a resource from our Help Center to get you started in the interim!

 ### 12. Streamlines Contract Management, But Template Maintenance Can Be Tricky

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danielle J. | Paralegal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad standardizes our processes, provides full visibility into contract data, and frees Legal from repetitive tasks.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Maintaining templates and optimizing reporting can be challenging, though Ironclad’s core functionality greatly improves contract management.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad streamlines contract workflows, reduces risk, and gives Legal clear visibility so we can focus on higher-value work.

 ### 13. IronClad Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

The platform is straightforward to use. It integrates seamlessly with SFDC and other tools, making functional collaboration very simple.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The experience really depends on how the system is configured and set up. In our case, the configuration is somewhat nuanced. It's important to make sure that users and teams are involved in determining the most effective workflow.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The platform enables seamless collaboration and alignment among teams, making the quoting process more transparent and efficient. It provides a single source of action for both quoting and contracting, which streamlines workflows. Additionally, it facilitates smooth collaboration with customers throughout the process.

 ### 14. I love the visibility that Ironclad has provided to our team into the contracting process

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Geneva Y. | Sr. Counsel, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I like the ability to integrate with SalesForce so that the sales team can stay in their system and track all current contract requests. I like that the sales team does not have to ping me for status updates on their document request.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

I dislike that all internal signers must have a license. I dislike that templates cannot be removed from the signature packet. I dislike that the playbook entries cannot be edited once the document is in the repository.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad provides a clear process for reviews and revisions of documents. The internal stakeholders can see the exact steps taken as well as what is needed. There is version control that is clear and always manageable. There is a good repository for documents that is easily searchable.

**Official Response from McKenzie Gregory:**

> Thank you so much for the review and thoughtful product feedback! I've passed your thoughts along to our product team.

 ### 15. Effortless File Sharing Enhances Team Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

My team is able to access one another's files without difficulty, which makes it possible for us to cover for each other when someone is out of the office.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

There is a significant amount of manual data entry required, as Ironclad does not integrate smoothly with the other software used by my company.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The central management of contract processing makes it easy to access local files and track the most recent actions taken.

 ### 16. Smooth Legal & DD Collaboration on Quotes

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

The collaboration with legal and DD on the quote

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Too many approvals steps to get things approved

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboration and editing stuff on quotes with my legal , finance , services and DD coutnerparts

 ### 17. A sorely needed single source of truth

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad has enabled our company to have greater visibility into contract workflows and completed agreements. It allows our team to collaborate and efficiently drive deals to completion, while providing us with a single source of truth where all of our important commercial contracts can be found. We love its reporting functionality as well. Ironclad's Customer Support team has been great to work with, often providing videos to assist in explaining fixes.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The most recent UI changes have been a bit frustrating, in that they generally require users to make more clicks to achieve their goal, and it put the onus on Legal Ops within companies to train their teams on all of the changes that were implemented.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad is enabling more people within our company to have visibility into our contracting process as well as completed agreements. It allows for greater collaboration amongst our teams, from legal to finance to sales, driving deal efficiency. Finally, it serves as our single source of truth for finding contracts and tracking KPIs.

 ### 18. Ironclad has proven to be a very effective document management system for contracting in my firm.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Having now used IC for almost 3 years and having vetted other CLMs, I can say that IC is the one that is most comprehensive; it delivers a flawless CM process both during negotiation and post-execution. It integrates quite nicely with my org's ERP and GRC SaaS. I've also noticed less downtime/outages in the last few months, which is nice. The AI features are also awesome, especially for importing standalone records into the repository. I also appreciate the comprehensive documentation and learning resources.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

I will admit that I am not a huge fan of the most recent updates. I preferred when the repository remained siloed from the "in-progress" workflows. There has been a slightly longer re-learning curve as my organization adjusts to the new UI than we would have liked.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad is solving the issue of decentralized documents. It keeps all of our contracts in one secure location, which benefits us because it reduces the risk of having too many versions of a contract scattered across various platforms. It also allows us to efficiently retrieve documents from the repository when an internal client needs them. We also have IC integrated with Salesforce and that helps keep the sales team in the SaaS that is native to them.

 ### 19. Ironclad on the verge of greatness

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I love how streamlined the process is, it really allows for you and your peers to connect and collaborate in one centralized location.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

I do not like that when you make changes on the backend, you essentially have to reset the groups/users all over again, this can be extremely cumbersome

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad is solving the disconnect we experienced within our company, it's creating a centralized area for us to work together and execute projects.

 ### 20. Ironclad - Pros and Cons - new features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

The workflow designer and Ironclad Academy makes it super easy for a new hire to get up to speed.

- Workflow approvals is aligned with our DOA policy.

- Collaboration - you can message @mention

- Email notifications

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The changes impacted the repository. The search functionality may need some enhancements.

- Business Owners kept asking me about the repository search. The capitalization (Lower and Upper) in the Counterparty Name is creating a lot of trouble so will need to clean up.

- Dashboard is slightly different and have been creating a lot of unnecessary reports. I will have to look into cleaning up.

- The Lifecycle Preset created a little discrepancy with our old workflows. Data duplication and need to clean up for reporting.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It aligns with our DOA Delegation of Authority Policy.1.	Increase Efficiency
Create New Contracts Faster
•	Leverage templates to generate pre-filled contracts based on a simple form
•	Automatically request the required approval for each contract, based on data provided by you and/or the counterparty
•	Automatically create structured data based for each contract, allowing easy access to sort, filter, search, remind, and analyze groups of contracts

2.	Streamline Collaboration
We are hoping Ironclad will work as a bridge between operation teams, sales, power and construction teams with the legal, corporate, human resources, finance and accounting teams. We are all busy in the our day to day activities and we can forget who needs to know what when engaging services and it can feel cumbersome trying to remember the process when you don’t do it all the time. Ironclad remembers it for you.
3.	Increase Visibility
Centralize In-Flight & Completed Contracts
•	Search, filter, and sort contract records to find exactly what you need
•	Contracts created through Ironclad are stored with their full history of actions and communication, plus previous versions of all included documents
•	Set up automated emails to remind you of upcoming contract dates or summarize recently created contracts

 ### 21. Ironclad is a Game Changer for Contract Management at Shedd Aquarium

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Museums and Institutions | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad is easy to understand and use, which encourages the use of Ironclad by those needing contracts reviewed. The signing feature within Ironclad also is easy to use - saving the necessity of engaging a separate entity for that feature. And I love that all of our contracts are archived in one place. We get so many compliments on Ironclad, that I am confident we made the right decision (and we did a lot of research prior to choosing Ironclad). I know some fellow attorneys whose firm chose a different document management system and they are always complaining. We are very happy with the system, with the workflows within Ironclad, the ability to use our templates with questions and alternative provisions, and we are looking forward to diving into some of the other features we have not fully explored yet (such as using a "playbook" for some commonly used terms).

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

I know some improvements have been made, but it has been difficult to format documents within Ironclad - so when formatting needs to be edited, I usually download - fix the formatting - and then upload the document again as a new version within Ironclad. That has all been easy to do, but I would love to be able to see what the document actually looks like (as it looks in Word) and fix formatting within the Ironclad system. Again, I know improvements have been made to the Word feature, and I'm looking forward to testing that out!

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I first began as General Counsel, there was not just one repository for contracts, nor was there any organized approval system (just lots of emails back and forth with no accounting for saving the history of the communications, versions, etc.). Now, we have our contracts all stored in Ironclad, and we've trained our employees to upload their documents they need within Ironclad (creating contracts themselves by answering some questions associated with the templates we have in Ironclad), and Ironclad sends the contracts to the relevant employees for review, the contracts are reviewed within Ironclad so version history is saved as is correspondence with the other party to the contract, the contracts are approved within Ironclad (again, with this approval chain being retained within Ironclad), the contracts are sent out for signature through Ironclad, and finally the executed contract is stored automatically within Ironclad. This has dramatically reduced the time and effort previously spent on contract review, it has organizes our contracts for easy search and retrieval, and overall, has made our users extremely happy.

 ### 22. Game Changer for In-House Legal Teams!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Implementing Ironclad was refreshingly straightforward. From day one, their team made the onboarding process seamless, guiding us through setup with clarity and efficiency. The platform was up and running quickly, and our teams were able to adopt it with minimal disruption.

One of Ironclad’s biggest strengths is its effortless integration with Salesforce. Contracts can be initiated, tracked, and managed directly within the Salesforce environment, which has significantly streamlined our workflow. This integration has bridged the gap between our legal and sales teams, enabling faster deal cycles and better collaboration.

In our day-to-day operations, Ironclad has become an essential tool. It simplifies contract lifecycle management, improves visibility, and enhances compliance. The intuitive interface and automation features save us time and reduce manual errors, allowing our teams to focus on higher-value work.

Ironclad isn’t just a platform—it’s a productivity booster and a strategic asset. We couldn’t be happier with the results.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

It can take up to a week to hear back from support sometimes.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What used to be a manual, time-consuming task is now fast, intuitive, and error-free. With Ironclad, we can generate, customize, and send contracts with just a few clicks—saving valuable time and ensuring consistency across all client communications.

 ### 23. Fast, Easy Workflow Refresh with Clear Issue Identification

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

quickly workflows, easy to refresh, identify issues and stop the workflow

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

shortcuts hiden, little confise the option to edit workflows

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

more shortcuts and more ease functions to edit workflows

 ### 24. Strong system with areas to improve

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lilly W. | Legal Operations Specialist II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad is an easy-to-use contract management platform that we utilize daily, and the versatility of creating workflows with unique configurations is extremely useful. It's useful that it can be integrated with so many platforms like Coupa and DocuSign.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Ironclad's repository is rather weak - it is difficult to filter and view all the necessary information. The system would benefit from a folder system. In addition, their recent updates feel counterproductive. The turn-tracking feature is difficult to find and inconvenient.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Ironclad to help us process requisitions/requests from employees within our company and negotiate contracts/agreements with those outside. The ability to templates is very useful.

 ### 25. Important tool for the future of Contract Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mona J. | Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad has recently introduced several new AI-powered features to enhance contract management. These include AI Assist™ for rapid redlines, Ironclad Contract AI (CAI), Custom AI Clauses, and Smart Import API. AI Assist™ leverages generative AI to quickly generate redlines and suggest approved clauses, while CAI acts as a virtual assistant for complex contract queries. Custom AI Clauses allow for fine-tuning the AI model with specific data, and the Smart Import API (currently in beta) enables automated ingestion of contracts from other applications.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Ironclad need to continue to finetune its AI tools.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad helps to ensure all contracts for an organization and the entire contracting process are warehoused in one environment.

 ### 26. Functional and effective document management system

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I like the functionality I have within the workflow to do editing and commenting. I believe the formatting for this is better than the formatting in WORD is.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Sometimes there are edits made by the other party which either cannot be resolved in Ironclad review or doesn't appear the same as it does in WORD. This creates an issue when trying to solve a problem a Customer is seeing that we literally don't see on our end within Ironclad.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad provides both a contracts workflow service as well as communications tools and eventually a repository service, while also providing significant data which we can report back on for performance purposes.

 ### 27. Good for building, not maintaining

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Courtney O. | Legal Operations Professional, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Workflow designer is easy to use and efficient.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Repository is hard to navigate, customer support is not helpful, new changes are not effective on pending workflows. Reporting is not customizable and doesn't allow for the proper tracking I need.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad makes creating agreements on our paper easy and routine. This helps our sales team be self-sufficient without a lot of legal intervention.

 ### 28. Ironclad Legal services for Pharma

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David Z. | Business Development Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad is an excellent tool for us, as we engage in 100s of NDA monthly. Using Ironclad extremely frequent for our daily tasks where the process is simple, easy to track with whom the action is, and see revisions/versions of the document, making all the process extremely smooth and user friendly.

Starting a new process/document is extremely easy to implement and the integration of Ironclad into other systems like SalesForce, help us keep track of opportunities and customers with just a click.

Even when you need support the team is there to provide customer support and guide your through the process which makes those unique scenarios less daunting.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Even though Ironclad is extremely useful and easy to use, it can be daunting to the newcomers, it requires some training and most of the times some handholding on the initial drafts. However after a couple of iterations, users are able to use this tool by themselves with low effort.

Customers need to submit their documents in only DOC, so PDF or other formats are not supported, where if the customer is not used to this system can be weird for them initially.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We generate 100s of NDAs per month globally, Ironclad help us keep the process as streamlined and smooth as possible accross the different business units. Making the process more user friendly and standarized to minimize human error or mistakes. This has decreased our NDA completion from 2-3 months, to a couple of days/weeks.

 ### 29. Comprehensive CLM

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

It is very easy to set up new workflows and use the repository. I really appreciate how the company is constantly adding improvements to the tool and provides really good documentation and training. The implementation went really well, and we were able to use the tool as soon as it was finished.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Sometimes big changes can be a little frequent. There's also the problem of it doing SO much that is becomes hard to use all components.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We did not have the ability to fully track data in our previous CLM tool, and legal tickets were being entered into different systems. We are able to have all internal teams utilize Ironclad for legal support. We started with just Sales requests with an SFDC integration, and we are now starting on the purchasing side.

 ### 30. Ironclad CLM Has Streamlined Our Contracting Process

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Georgina M. | General Counsel, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Our company went from another CLM that was essentially an online folder system. Ironclad is a true contract lifecycle management tool with customizable workflows for contract intake and negotiation through signature and archive. We now have a fully searchable contract Repository that serves as a single source of truth for our contracts. We can grant access to users based on group permissions. We have integrated Ironclad CLM with Salesforce thus allowing our sales executives to work from the platform they are most comfortable with. We have also integrated Ironcald Signature that works seemless with Ironclad CLM and this has allowed us to realize cost savings compared to other eSignature providers. Finally, we have also launched Ironclad Clickwrap for some of our software applications and the acknowledgement of the end user agreement and privacy policy pass into our Ironclad CLM Repository for contract tracking purposes. We are a private-equity owned business and Ironclad CLM has allowed us to scale our contract reviews, manage our contract repository, grow and expand our business with customizable tools that allow our attorneys and paralegals to focus on the most important strategic work. I am an administrator of the tool, have created all of the workflows and use the tool daily. Another stand out for Ironclad is their customer support, our previous "CLM" essentially had no real support. Ironclad has excellent legal engineers to assist with your implementation and after hyper-care they pass you on to a very responsive and helpful customer support team.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The only downside I can think of is getting new users to take the time to do the training offered in Ironclad Academy and learning how to use the tool. When we did our initial launch we held several training sessions, however, now that we have been using Ironclad for almost 2 years it is tough to get new sales executives to leverage the training resources. Once they learn it, they generally love it.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some of the business problems we were solving with Ironclad CLM included: (1) an inconsistent contract intake process, (2) no searchable contract repository, (3) no way to manage group access to different types of agreements, (4) no self-service for any type of agreement (even templates such as nondisclosure and confidentiality agreements), (5) no standard approval process for contract exceptions, (6) having to collaborate on documents in sharepoint and then create a separate outward facing document to share with the counterparty, (7) tracking open matters in the review stage with a spreadsheet, (8) managing the document review process with emails outside of our CLM, and (9) the inability to scale our contracting process.

Ironclad CLM has given us the tools to solve all of these business problems and more. The more business issues we are able to solve the more creative our users become, creating new ways for us to leverage the tool. We are currently working on several new workflows to support our consulting and csm teams as well as new clickwrap implementations.

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Light weight, very flexible, has all the robust features of a full blown CLM and added benefits of big AI enhancements

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

I dont think I have seen anything that I disliked

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we are using ironclad both internally within multiple departments and also for customer facing contracts

 ### 33. Easy to use; listens to user feedback

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad has been very easy to use and implement across our organization. The UI is excellent, making it simple to keep track of our various contracts and keep everyone in the know.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Ironclad is expensive. They seek and implement user feedback but oftentimes user-requested features take too long to come to fruition and/or are added as features requiring additional payment.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Contract management, tracking the lifecycle of our agreements, keeping business users informed about the status of their requests.

 ### 34. Great CLM - Does Everything You Need

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew G. | Business Systems Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Good document and workflow management - low admin and maintenance costs / can be self administered easily

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Salesforce integration is lacking version history tracking. Also, Microsoft content controls can mess up Ironclad features.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Generating contracts and obtaining signatures.

 ### 35. User friendly and Adaptable

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cory S. | Merchandising Operations Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Easy to use. Fields give clear understanding of what kind of file can be uploaded or what information is accepted. Because of that, it only takes a short time to get started and to complete. The Activity Feed has become essential when communicating with other users and has improved how quickly issues are resolved.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

I still find it a little tough to search but have actively been working on utilzing the filters and learning how to create new views.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has streamlined our previous clunky process and taken it from something that was a pain point to a simple one screen solution. A few questions answered and a file uploaded means significantly less time spent on the process. The activity feed has helped streamline communications between users.

**Official Response from Mikaela Waters:**

> Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experience, Cory! I've linked an article from the Ironclad help center on advanced search. Shoot us a message to support@ironcladhq.com if this doesn't solve the problem - we'd love to help!

 ### 36. Finally a CLM tool that doesn't make you want to pull your hair out

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wei W. | Assistant General Counsel, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Intuitiveness of UX
Easy to navigate
Responsive customer support team
Creative product features/launches every 6 months

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

AI feature could use work
Repository does not allow for AI-enabled search functionality without manual tagging

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralizing contract management at the company

 ### 37. Generally easy to use and strong self-serve learning academy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

The Ironclad platform is generally easy to use. I appreciate that my team can get legal centers set up in literally just a few minutes, and that we can launch Clickwraps while avoiding coding. The self-serve learning academy is also thorough and easy for anyone to pick up.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The quality of support we've received from Ironclad has been mixed. The Administrative view on the platform is also a bit segmented and not as intuitive to use as I'd like.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Clickwrap service is great and perfect for our business needs. When a Clickwrap record is located, it's extremely easy to export to view the details.

 ### 38. Efficient and easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony M. | Contracts Counsel, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

The workflow designer is incredibly easy to update and adjust. Additionally, the workflow dashboard makes it very efficient for the legal team to track and review agreements.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The repository is a bit clunky and there are some features that are not intuitive to utilize. For example, downloading partially signed agreements is a bit hidden from the users. The repository could be updated to resemble more of a folder system rather than having to create various custom views.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Agreements are now all streamlined within Ironclad whereas previously they had to go through different avenues and sometimes appropriate reviews were not completed. Now we can properly manage every contract according to our policy which reduces our risk and streamlines the contractual process.

 ### 39. Legal Operations Manager

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karen Ann R. | Paralegal & Risk Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Customizable workflows, reporting and searchable database

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

New layout is a bit disorganized, preferred the last layout of keeping repository and dashboard separate.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizing our contract management, from negotiations to repository.

 ### 40. Comprehensive and user friendly CLM

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kate L. | Head of Legal Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Intuitive UI
Easy to create and launch workflows
Ability to redline in Word
Customer support has always been fast and efficient

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Lack of a robust integration with some other business software
Insights can be clunky and difficult to put together

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's the source of truth for all of our contracting needs- solves both the revenue generating contracts and procurement/vendor contracts that they company uses.

 ### 41. Ironclad - Great CLM System

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jenni Y. | Contracts Operations Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I have been impressed with the continual updates to their system that enhance user experience. Their integration with Salesforce has been very useful as well.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

As an administrator of our IC, their Support is extremely frustrating at times. I wish they would go directly to a zoom call if there is more than 2 back and forth comments. I have had to escalate a few times to resolve a system issue.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad allows us to capture all the data, personalizing it to your specific needs. With use of forms, we are able to automate more of our process without loosing the personal interaction with a client/vendor. Integration with Salesforce is a major plus.

**Official Response from Mikaela Waters:**

> Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts, Jenni! These reviews mean so much to Ironclad and to peer companies making CLM buying decisions.

 ### 42. Streamlined Workflow Automation, But UI and Search Need Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad simplifies the process of automating workflows, making it straightforward and accessible. Also, the customer support is best in class.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The search and reporting features still have room for improvement. Additionally, the latest UI changes have made the platform feel less intuitive than before.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating workflows and making the approval process more efficient.

 ### 43. Iron Clad makes it easy to stay organized

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I really like how Iron Clad makes it easy to organize all of my contracts. Anytime that I need to renew a contract there is a workflow I can choose so that I follow very detailed steps to get the right teams engaged to review my contracts and when edits are made each version is saved. Once I am ready to sign my contracts I can easily tag the document and send it to my team and the counterparty for signature. If I even need to pull up an old contract I can easily find it via the search feaure. I like how you can also see what stage of the approval process each contract is in.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The interace is easy but its not very modern. It would be nice if the interface recevied an update to make it more modern.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its helping me stay organized and ensure that contracts are easily moved from review to signature in an efficient manner.

 ### 44. Game-changing customizable experience for CT management and Follow Ups.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I love the customizability of the workflows, having a point of contact at Ironclad to assist with questions, concerns, and ideas, ironclad being able to integrate with many of our programs we already use, and how easy it is for our field to get the hang of it. If it weren't for IC, we would not be able to follow up on items required after contracting with the accuracy that we can now. It is easy and transparent for all users, and is a must have if your business deals with contracting and multiple parties. There is not a day that goes by that it is not used by our group. It was easy to navigate and set up, along with it being more useful than any tool we have ever had.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

I wish searching in the repository was a little easier, but we have found workarounds.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad has solved the ability for our company to follow up on items that are needed after the contract signing happens with accuracy, and it allows not just our group at corporate to view items out-standing, but the ability for the field to view the dashboards we have created to hold them accountable for follow up items needed. We have never had an accurate place to be able to manage that until Ironclad came along. It has been incredible for our renewal processes and being able to see when renewals are due and generate a queue based off of when they are due.

 ### 45. Ironclad CLM System for Easy Contracting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liat M. | Marketing Intern, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

What I like most about Ironclad is the ease of use and simple design. Creating workflows is very simple and fast and managing ironclad contract is simple and fast.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

One thing that I would love that Ironclad improve is their views - I would love to be able to add a Kanban board for ease of use with sales teams and quick glances.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad is solving for our company the issue of version contral and centralized place for all contracts. It helps us with one shop stop for our sales and allows legal to focus on the important stuff while enabling automations.

**Official Response from Mikaela Waters:**

> Thank you for sharing this review, Liat! We're thrilled to hear that you find Ironclad easy to use - we think so too!

 ### 46. Contracts Manager

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad saves me time for review, approval, and signing.

 ### 47. Simplified Contract Management

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad is a very organized way to handle contact lifecycles and intakes.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The amount of unnecessary updates that seem immaterial but end up requiring the provision of more training.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the mess that is your computers file storage location.

 ### 48. Great tool for contract management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

It is the perfect tool to ensure we can get our deals across the line. It allows you to prepare, edit and send contracts for signature in an easy way, provides reminders and helps you to seamlessly collaborate with your teams internally.

It is the contract management/email signature tool which our copany needs in order to get things done. My favourite features are the user-friendly interface, the automated workflows, the collaboration functionalities and advanced reporting and analytics

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Can't really think of any, maybe the learning curve which it takes at the beginning (but as with any new tool) and once you are familiar with it it is very easy to use

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us get our customers to sign deals and hence reach our company and individual goals

**Official Response from McKenzie Gregory:**

> We're so glad you've enjoyed Ironclad CLM and Ironclad Signature! Thanks for the review!

 ### 49. "Ironclad Delivers Streamlined, User-Friendly Contract Management with Strong Automation and Support

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

The drag-and-drop workflow builder, real-time collaboration, and seamless integrations with tools like Salesforce, DocuSign, and Google Drive are frequently praised. Appreciate how much time is saved through automation, especially during approvals and redlining.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The search functionality is occasionally criticized for lacking advanced filters or precision, making it harder to locate specific contracts or clauses quickly. While integrations are useful, they sometimes require additional setup or support to work seamlessly.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What I appreciate most is how easy it is to collaborate across teams. Legal, sales, and operations can all work in the same space, which eliminates back-and-forth confusion. The Dynamic Repository makes finding and tracking agreements easy, and the built-in editor saves us from toggling between Word and PDFs.

 ### 50. Loved It
