What do you like best about IRIS CARBON®?

Iris Carbon has a great customer service team that helps us with any updates to the filing process that we needed. They always looked for ways to improve their system and add efficiencies. "IRIS CARBON: Reinventing FERC Reporting With User-friendly Software"

What do you like best about IRIS CARBON®?

IRIS CARBON has been amazing along every step of the way for us transitioning into this new world of having to file FERC reporting. They have held our hand and guided us step by step to ensure we meet every deadline, and all our reports are filed correctly and on time. Their team is top notch and extremely professional. The team has stayed on the phone with me for hours as we worked through filing errors to make sure we filed on time. The software is user friendly and easy to move between different sections. The best feature of the software is the ability to run test uploads to see if there are any errors in the filing with the FERC system. What do you dislike about IRIS CARBON®?

This may be more specific to our situation; we purchased our assets from a company who was using IRIS CARBON for their FERC filing. When we went to file our annual report, we had issues with the filing due to the roll forward of prior year numbers not matching beginning of year numbers because it was a new set of books. Thankfully for the awesome team, we were able to quickly work through the issue and resolve the problem and file on time. If there are issues during the test filing, a more detailed description could be helpful in some cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is IRIS CARBON® solving and how is that benefiting you?

We only have one accountant to oversee 5 companies and all of their financials and reporting deadlines. IRIS Carbon helps us stay on time and makes the process so smooth and seemless. We don't have to go through a ton of extra and unnecessary steps to file our reports on time with the right government agencies. They have many features we love and I have outlined below:

1. The ability to use the cloud-based software from anywhere, whether I'm at work, working from home or on vacation. The deadlines don't wait for me and many times I have to work on the go. I like that I can login to the software anywhere I have access to the internet and work on meeting my deadlines.

2. Once your data is loaded and mapped into the correct schedule, you can generate XBRL's to help you start working through any discrepancies and errors that would prevent you from filing with FERC. If a discrepancy is found, a link is listed that brings you right to difference with an explanation. With the easy of working through this process, it takes very little time to work through any issues that may come up in the upload process.

3. The favorite feature of IRIS CARBON is their team! Their support team is phenomenal. During the weeks leading up to deadlines, they are available 24 hours a day. They are always just a quick email, phone call or team meeting away. I feel like each quarter I always have the same questions and issues, but they are always so happy to help me and walk me through the same steps again. They always remind me a few weeks ahead of schedule of upcoming deadlines. They are very knowledgeable about the software and know how to correct issues on the backend if things can't be fixed on the upfront side. I can go on and on about the team! What do you like best about IRIS CARBON®?

I love that it is cloud-based, has a neat & clean user friendly interface, it simplified and streamlined our process of preparing and reporting our FERC 714 as an X-BRL file. The import and validation features save us so much time and effort. I addition, I am extremely impressed with the response time and high level of customer support provided. What problems is IRIS CARBON® solving and how is that benefiting you?

Iris Carbon helps us to comply with a newly instituted national mandate to report our FERC 714 form in XBRL format. In addition, they provide a template used for gathering information necessary to prepare the report. This template can be imported into the software instead of having to type it which eliminates and reduces redundancy and typographical errors. The program is cloud-based so we are now able to work from multiple sites when reporting, and unlike before, multiple users can be assigned to work on or review the same project. The validation & test submission features helps us to identify possible errors before submittal, and saves us tons of time in the process. The interface is very user friendly and their customer support team proactively communicates sending us reminders of upcoming reporting requirements, and responds rapidly when any assistance is needed.
