**What do you like best about iplicit?**

The system is really easy to pick up, even for new users, and it makes managing accounts feel much simpler and more efficient. The clean layout and straightforward navigation save time and reduce the learning curve, which is a big plus compared to other platforms I’ve used.
The customer support team is responsive, knowledgeable, and always quick to help, making the whole experience much smoother

A few areas could benefit from more customisation, but overall these are minor compared to the ease of use and functionality the software provides

**What problems is iplicit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Iplicit simplifies complex accounting processes, reduces manual errors, and consolidates financial data in one place. This saves me time, improves accuracy, and makes managing finances far more efficient

Very intuitive user interface, really like how you can have many screens open and how easy it is to switch between them.

**What do you dislike about iplicit?**

Sometimes when you want to pick an item from a list and it's not there, it's difficult to ascertain why it's hidden.  Could use some on-screen tips to indicate how the list is filtered.

Reduces the time it takes for managing day to day finances, gives a real 'one source of the truth' benefit.

I really like the user experience with iplicit. It's easy to use and quick, which makes managing finances simple for our organization. The initial setup was also easy.

It doesn't work like tools such as Sage, which can make it difficult. iPlicit feels more modern, but that also means it can be difficult to get used to.

It is so refreshing to work with a new modern product that has clearly been properly designed using modern methods. Almost everything else is just covering up the shortcomings in old products ... not iplicit.

So ... and excellent product that really makes a difference supported by a superb, friendly and incredibly helpful team.

It is hard to think of any to be honest.

The product is moving so quickly it is hard to keep up ... which is a wonderful problem to have.

My team love it ... as do all our clients that come into contact with it.

It makes documents flows so easy, and then allows great intuitive analysis ... it makes a massive impact how effectively the team can support and add real value to the business.

**What do you like best about iplicit?**

iplicit is a very good accounting and business management software. It's easy to use, with an interface that makes navigation and tasks simple, even for those without deep technical knowledge like myself. One of its biggest strengths is the cost — it was noticeably cheaper than many of its competitors which we looked at when getting a software for our charity. This makes it a great value for the features it offers.

**What do you dislike about iplicit?**

It would be great to see some improvements in the design and overall user interface to make it feel a bit more modern and polished. That said, these are minor points — the system functions very well and does exactly what we need

**What problems is iplicit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before switching to iplicit, we managed our accounting and budgets using Excel. However, this approach came with many limitations — we struggled with data accuracy and lacked meaningful reports or detailed budgets. Since moving to iplicit, we now have access to comprehensive reporting at the UK level, regional level, department level, and even by cost centre — exactly how we need it. This has filled a major gap and has been incredibly helpful.

Similarly, we previously processed student fees through platforms like Stripe and GoCardless, then manually compiled reports in Excel — a time-consuming and error-prone process. Now that everything is integrated into the software, we save a significant amount of time and have access to accurate, well-structured student income ledgers.

**What do you like best about iplicit?**

Iplicit makes it particularly easy to manage multiple entities, with a  number of additional features such as the excel add in which just give a lot more freedom to create reports without constantly updating various databases.

**What do you dislike about iplicit?**

Iplicit doesn't allow for making changes easily once things have been reconciled. You can change basics such as periods, but it should be much easier to change nominal codes or to correct bank transactions once reconciled.

Iplicit allows the ability to create multiple reports in the software and on excel which allow for very bespoke reviews of the financials of a company or multiple.

**What do you like best about iplicit?**

We have changed our accounting software about 7 months ago. It has been a massive change, coming from an almost all excel templates and a very manual process to a most innovative and easy to use software. The programme in itself is very good, user friendly but what impressed me the most is their customer service. During the implementation process the people involved from Iplicit were very diligent and helpful. 
We use Iplicit on a daily basis and it has really improved the quality of work and reduced the amount of hours for almost if not all our processes. 
The integration process was easy to follow too.

**What do you dislike about iplicit?**

I only wish that the training videos were shared with us from the beginning of the process as it would have facilitate some of the works we had to do while migrating from one program to the other.

**What problems is iplicit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since we moved to Iplicit we are able to reconcile bank items on a daily basis - this helps with budgeting analysis and future forecast

**What do you like best about iplicit?**

iplicit is a modern flexible system with great support.  It is cloud based so can be accessed easily from anywhere.  It's intuitive to use, transparent and has powerful reporting capabilities.

There is a development roadmap which as a user I feel able to influence.  Regular system updates are seamlessly deployed alongside monthly user webinars.  This user education is really helpful, enabling us to be kept informed of new features as well as maximising existing functionality.

**What do you dislike about iplicit?**

The stock management module is adequate but I think needs more development.  The valuation methods available are Average and Standard, not FIFO.  Valuations have to be run at month end rather than being perpetual.

**What problems is iplicit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a more flexible system that could evolve with us as our business evolved.  Integrations, reporting, visibility, ease of use were all factors influencing the decision to implement iplicit.  Being a cloud based product, accessible worldwide, was also a major factor as was cost of implementation and upgrades.

The initial setup and customization took some time, and the reporting templates could be a bit more flexible. However, the learning curve is manageable, and customer support was very helpful during onboarding.

I am a big fan of the dragging and dropping to attach files - this saves so much time! 
Its super easy to analyse data by easy exporting of TBs/Balance Sheets.

On occasion it has taken a little while for the team to come back to us with any issues we might have emailed in about.

**What problems is iplicit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working as a finance Business Partner one of my key roles is building reports and analysing data - iplit is super useful for these. It is easy to export data from the system via the excel export. I also find the enquiries practically useful for building external reports in excel.

Everything is clearly laid out and easy to access and understand once you have been using it everyday for a while.
The customer statements and invoices provide information that is clearly laid out and can be understood by customers, even without a background in finance.

**What do you dislike about iplicit?**

The ability to not send invoices out in bulk to multiple contacts from a company without going in and selecting them manually causes some tasks to take quite a while.

Helps keep track of large amounts of information from many customers, which was previously done in excel.

Highly flexible when it comes to setting up the work authorisation feature.

**What do you dislike about iplicit?**

The budget feature in Iplicit needs improvement. Currently, it doesn’t support restricting user access to departmental budgets when using a single master budget template with multiple cost or department centres linked to user data control groups (DCG). Instead, the system only works if individual budgets are uploaded for each department and then access restrictions are set per user group. With 20+ departments, this process of uploading separate budgets and configuring access based on DCGs is highly time‑consuming.

**What problems is iplicit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Primarily at the reporting level, as it can record transactions by cost or department and allows for custom sub-groups. This enables drilling down variances to the invoice level, which is very helpful.

Its very streamlined and works very well if you have one company, it has made a lot of of our old procedures more efficient and we have saved lots of time in the month, the support we receive from Iplicit is great, when we moved over to Iplicit it was a very smooth integration and implementation,

There are some of the SL aspects that I would like to see improved to meet my needs

A lot of development, quite intuitive. Reporting is good.

Not a mature product so lots of functionality that I am used to is not here.  But it does seem to be on a roadmap for the future.

I like that after using sage in my previous roles, Iplicit has a number of functions that is automatic and you can download to excel to work on.

**What do you dislike about iplicit?**

There is so much Iplicit can offer that finding the time to explorer and benefit using it in our day to day work.

Getting the information in one place.  It would be good to incorporate other systems to interact with iplicit.

**What do you like best about iplicit?**

iplicit is very intuitive and it seems very simple to use. We particularly like the link with the bank and the ease of completing the VAT return. We upgraded from a very old system and it really was a complete change. 

The implementation wasn't too bad, the main of the problems we hit were caused by us, but whatever the problem, there seems to be a solution. 

I am a daily user of the system and I am an approver rather than an 'entry' user, but the system seems straight forward to use. I like the webbased nature of the system and would very much recomment Iplicit. 

We are about to be branching out into phase 2 which includes PO's and Assets

**What do you dislike about iplicit?**

Iplicit has very fixed rules in place which if you want flexibility may be a challenge to overcome. We use the workflows a lot and keeping on top of the workflows can be a challenge. 

The customer support seems to be ok, but I haven't had to use them.

**What problems is iplicit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It will help us with our reporting, but we haven't yet got to the reporting side, but the way Iplicit streamlines processes will be massively helpful. I particularly like the webinars and how Iplicit seems to respond to issues and roll out changes to keep things developing.

Very easy to use and navigate through the various options.  User interface is very intuitive and the type-to-search options let you find what you need quickly and efficiently. Customer support is quick to respond and really know their stuff.

**What do you dislike about iplicit?**

There are so many options that sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming.

**What problems is iplicit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted to move to a paperless office and Iplicit allows us to realise this very easily.
We used to have a very clunky expenses system - Iplicit is very easy to use and allows users to engage with expenses/credit-cards with more autonomy and clarity.

**What do you like best about iplicit?**

I really like the prepayment and deferred income option when recording purchase and sale invoices, it is very easy to use. The implementation team were very knowledgeable and managed to delivered our requirements which were a bit complex. I also like the help section available, I have set up a couple of features just by following the instructions.

We have had negative feedback from users when creating their expense claims using the mobile app, finding difficult to navigate all screens and selecting the correct fields when the visibility is restricted to the small mobile screen.

**What problems is iplicit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automation of data entry and reducing the amount of manual journals we post (the system post prepayments and deferred income journals) we spend less time manually entering data onto the system and reduce the risk of errors.

The automation and character recognition save large amounts of time, along with the workflows and ease of use-  the integration with Student Expenses app also saves considerable time. Manual accruals and prepayments are becoming a thing of the past.

The implementation and training process was very effective-  I wouldnt want to set Iplicit up from scratch whilst being unfamiliar with it-  you need good help and guidance and its worth paying for it.

Support appears good-  but we've rarely had to use it

It all works, and its easy to get data into spreadsheets with direct links via formula  - the minor bugbear here is that although it does this very well with live data, there are no formulas to extract budget data alongside it-  we are told this is on the cards, but is probably the one remaining thing that would further automate effectively.

The system as a whole, being entirely cloud based, has removed a lot of the problems of working from home largely with the previous server based system.

The old system was poorly supported, and becoming legacy (and now we have Iplicit) very clunky and expensive.

The biggest boon is the automation/ workflows and integration with Student Expenses. It feels like we have a really good system

Extremely easy to navigate with convenient links throughout.  Our processes have been streamlined thanks to Iplicit.       The ability for authorised users to edit a document after it's been posted.  AP automation and communication set ups means an invoice can be processed and approved in less than 24 hours of receipt.  Great excel add-on for real time links in management accounts and other reports.

We don't utilise the Debt module because it's not fit for our purpose.  That's more down to our own archaic processes that we need to adapt to benefit from this module.

As Iplicit is a relatively new solution in the market, we initially had some reservations about signing up. However, those concerns were quickly alleviated, as the onboarding process was remarkably smooth. The ability to practice on a test system proved invaluable, and the support team has been consistently responsive and helpful. The system itself is highly user-friendly, offering numerous time-saving features that enhance efficiency.

There are a few snags. For example, it is not possible to amend a previously reconciled bank statement, which can be challenging for those like us who reconcile transactions on a daily basis. Additionally, when allocating a large number of transactions, clicking outside the checkbox inadvertently causes the loss of all previously selected allocations—a minor but frustrating issue.

Yes, you can only unlock the previously submitted bank reconciliation, so when doing this daily it can make adjustments challenging, however if adjusting previously submitted bank recs this can cause knock on effect to subsequent bank recs and cause further challenges. I don't suspect we shall be changing this anytime soon.
 
On the other point, yes this can be frustrating, but what I find useful is the ability to multi select items on the list using the shift and control keys on my keyboard.

We had a very short and aggressive timescale to move to Iplicit due to our existing accounting package going end of life, and despite this challenge the team at Iplicit were able to deliver and get us live on schedule. We now have a modern accounting package that will save the accounts team time, and ultimately save the business money.

We went from a flexible (perhaps too flexible) invoice approval system, to using the invoice workflows built in within Iplicit. These can be difficult to read and understand sometimes, and we have had to change our internal processes in order to use this feature.

As someone who mainly administers the system, I find it easy to configure and troubleshoot if required. The online help is great, as is the support, and I do not need to spend my time writing documentation on how to use it for my colleagues as a result.

We started using Iplicit for our 4 companies at the back end of 2019 having switched from Iris exchequer where many of the Iplicit founders previously worked. The move was one our our best decision as Iplicit is incredibly functional, has superb interactive features, and has very in depth reporting. Implementation took a while as it was very new at the time, but we have been with Iplicit as it's developed over the past 5-6 years and seen huge change. The best thing about Iplicit is the customer experience with their support team. Monthly webinars are extremely handy to learn about or brush up on functionality, and also to give you insight on developments. The customer team also take on board all suggestions and try to include them in future releases if this is something that will enhance the product. We are only a small group of companies, but it is used daily and has made our accounting so much more efficient to free up time utilised elsewhere in the businesses.

**What do you dislike about iplicit?**

There are times where Iplicit does slow down which can cause irritation, but generally it runs well. The creation of certain dashboards & reports can be complex and at times you need to have a complete understanding of certain coding and functions to be able to create them seamlessly. I'm unsure whether they can be made easier for someone like myself.

It seems the possibilities are endless, and as its set up like a spreadsheet our requests for bespoke reporiting are always made possible. As it is very bespoke and anything can be done, its difficult to conceptualise what we need. The project manager could have been more approachable and helpful, which was a bit disappointing. However, the implementation team was outstanding and made the overall experience much smoother. One area that could use improvement is the invoice viewing feature—it feels clunky at times. The page should auto-adjust to fit the screen, eliminating the need to scroll left and right when uploading AP automation invoices. Addressing this would greatly enhance usability.

Plus, the pop-out now refreshes dynamically when switching between documents, streamlining the process even further.

**What do you like best about iplicit?**

It makes some processes eg extracting reports or uploading budgets, quick and more efficient. Fast and friendly support team.

**What do you dislike about iplicit?**

Budget queries support is still slow. Any error encounted seems to take the support team quite a long time to investigate as if they are actually learning the system themselves. This does not instill confidence in the customers and slows down the process.

**What problems is iplicit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems I have had recently are budget uploading issues which I have mentioned above.

There is very little to complain about at all.

I found it easy to understand how to use Iplicit when I first started. I also appreciate how customer feedback is valued and used to improve Iplicit.

The constant need of refreshing whenever changes are made.
It would be easy to be able to move around the tabs on the left hand side up/down.

Sending payment links along with Sales invoices. Looking to implement soon.
