## InVision Reviews
  ### 1. Great Collaborative Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

The ability to share projects from design with outside teams and receive feedback in a quick and efficient manner.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

The comment feature allows you' to pick certain aspects, but is not precise enough for certain design formats and needs.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboration across teams.

  ### 2. Not catching up to the latest standard

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

Spec mode is clearly the selling point of this product. It makes hands off to developer an ease.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

Prototyping tool features are very limited. Have to separate mobile and desktop screens is a hassle. Asset syncing is very unstable.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

Do not rely on it as a prototyping tool. Best use for Ui sign off to dev.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps to reduce the amount of work to set up style guide and UI specifications from designers to developers.

  ### 3. Best Prototyping tool to acquire clients/users feedback

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leo B. | Lead UX / UI Designer, Insurance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

The entire user experience is delightful. Also, the commenting system is the best feature for me as it has everything you need to communicate in an effective manner.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

I will need to do an effort on this. They should allow more than 3 projects on the basic plan.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basically, getting clients feedback quickly and effectively. Also with the linking system that you can apply by using Craft plugin with Sketch, it makes the whole experience easier. The most difficult part when you are creating a new UI is the interaction with clients and trying to explain complex interactions. The commenting system makes everything much more effective and pleasant.

  ### 4. New Website Experience Made Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chelsey S. | Affiliate Project Manager, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2017

**What do you like best about InVision?**

I love that InvisionApp is so easy to use and creates a really seamless experience for a new website design. We use this product as we are re-branding and re-creating our entire website and it helps showcase the direction we are going in so that people can see and understand. This is one of the best (if not #1) prototyping tools out there. I love that though specifically for design, this tool allows multi-departmental understanding of a certain project and gives project managers, designers, coders, etc. the ability to conceptualize and experience the project as it takes shape.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

I really don't have one! Since there are so many capabilities within this platform, it can be a bit overwhelming. The help center is great and I've been successful using that outlet but I wish there were more (or maybe easier to find....) help videos for "big topics".

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

I can't recommend InVision enough. There is a reason major companies choose this software -- they are the best! Give it a try; it's free and you're guaranteed to love it!

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Redesigning an almost 15-year old website with old graphics, coding, UX, etc. has been exceedingly challenging, especially when trying to communicate design interwoven with usage. With Invision, we get to show real-time prototypes of our new website direction and also allow for collaboration. This tool has benefited our company by allowing the designers an outlet to describe what they are doing and have impactful collaboration.

  ### 5. Great Prototyping Tool!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

I really like to use InVision because it works so well with Sketch. I can create and update prototypes with fluidity and ease. I like how to hotspots stay even when you update a file and you can make the design look like it is on a real device. It is also easy to share.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

I dislike how you have to have a professional or paid version to have more than one prototype. I feel like you should be able to at least have 2.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

None

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping businesses transform their processes with digital outlets in order to achieve success

  ### 6. Invision is a great tool for designers who don't know how to code, but want to show interaction

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

It's a rapidly evolving tool, which is great. New features, animations, and capabilities are always being added. It's a great tool to use when you don't have time to code something, but want to show your audience or stake holder how you want a certain element to behave. It's very easy to upload files, and even has a plugin for sketch so you can send artboards right to invision with the click of a button. A great tool to use for user testing too, especially in the early stages of web design.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

My biggest complaint would be a lack of animations. It would be nice to have more capabilities in that area. As it is now, you're limited in fades and interactions with certain areas.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

It's a great tool that gives designers and anyone else the ability to make interactive mocks and projects without the worry of knowing code/animation. It's a great tool that allows a user to experience a project through interacting with it instead of just looking at static mocks.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've used it a lot for user testing in the early stages of web design projects, which has been very useful. Sometimes, UI/UX issues arise too far down the line and it's a scramble with design/development to find a viable option before launch, but with invision, a lot of the time, we can not uncover any of those issues that might arise and solve them early so we're not scrambling with a UI/UX issue at the end of the project.

  ### 7. My Invision Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samantha G. | Freelance Designer, Graphic Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2017

**What do you like best about InVision?**

I like how simple the user interface is. I also like that you can upload a Photoshop file to your prototypes and update the screens automatically when you save in Photoshop. It is super simple to share a working screen with viewers with a link or the app. It is very easy to drag and drop screens as well as re order them.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

I dislike that sometimes you are required to make a new link when you want to share the most recent prototype edits. I also wish that there was a way to edit the text on a prototype within the Invision platform. I also wish there was a way to export the screen flow into a video or PDF in case the internet isn't working or the files are deleted somehow.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When building a new website and communicating with the developers at one of my clients workplaces, it was very helpful to have Invision to explain how I wanted the new website to flow. From the screen movements to the click actions. It would have been harder and taken longer for me to animate screens or write the actions in words for them.

  ### 8. Excellent web design prototyping software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jill G. | President & CEO, Management Consulting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

Whether you design mobile apps, responsive web pages, or detailed graphics, InVision allows you to collaborate with your teammates and show your clients prototypes in a professional environment. Now InVision has a plugin for Photoshop and Sketch to make your work easier.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

The monthly subscription cost is high, if you do not do a lot of prototyping. However, the out of pocket cost may be small if you consider the cost of developing your own automated prototypes or the effort involved with other prototyping methods.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

Take advantage of the free trial and then decide which license level you need.Try the Photoshop or Sketch plugin to see how this saves you time and effort. Load your project and spend a few minutes getting to learn the app.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I developed a responsive website for a client and used InVision to show the client how the website will look on a smartphone. I could do the same with different types of prototypes. InVision allows you to create hotspots, letting you tap buttons as if you were using a fully-developed app. You can build the application flow right into the prototype.

  ### 9. Quick and easy prototyping tool!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2017

**What do you like best about InVision?**

I love how easy Invision is to use from simply uploading designs to adding basic end to end interactions - click through screens and hover states for web and even taps and scrolling on mobile. It's even better now that it's integrated with sketch and super easy to share project links to collaborate and get feedback from others. The live sharing is also a great feature when we get into remote testing.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

I wish there were more types of interactions to prototype with. Right now the click through is easy, but I would love to have some more advanced options such as controlling how a popup/modal screen might transistion into an experience. Right now it's very much click and appear, the timing tool is a little difficult to use to where it's easier to just click and go (from how I have interpreted it). Also would be nice to have more transitions to make mobile transitions more life-like.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am constantly solving problems for our sellers by designing new tools to integrate into their workflow for their business. I often run in house and remote usability tests, which is very easy for our users to test on, especially now with the live sharing feature! It would be great to be able to record from here.

  ### 10. Invision is a powerhouse

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh H. | Co-Founder & CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

I love a lot of things about Invision. But one of the most useful things was being able to make our app design process organized and real by creating links just like it was a real app. There are a lot of wiz bang features of course, but I like how easy it is to link and unlink and my client doesn't need me to walk them through; they can figure it out.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

They charge now. When I first started using them, they were free.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

There are a lot of prototyping tools out there, definitely test with a free trial first to make sure it's the best.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're making our ideas come to life without having to code anything. It's easy for a non-programmer and a non designer even to make things come to life. This is a lot easier than trying to explain what is supposed to happen next and what is connected to what.

  ### 11. Ideal prototyping tool with other great features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizabeth R. | Lead UX Designer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2017

**What do you like best about InVision?**

InVision is constantly pushing the limit on the features that it releases. They started off with having the best prototyping tool and have followed that by boosting the capabilities and creating add-ons like Craft. They have a great option for creating boards (I tend to use these as a way to show my CEO mood boards as well as to create a living updated style guide). The comments section is phenomenal because it allows my developers, copy writers and product managers to leave me notes about items that need to change in the designs. I haven't used Freehand but it's supposed to be an interactive way to take notes right on the artboard with the use of a stylus and tablet or iPad.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

There are some limitations in terms of interaction but a lot of the time there are work-arounds. The best way to become familiar with these work-arounds is watching youtube videos and reading their blog.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

The customer support from InVision far surpasses my expectations. They have a chat box on the bottom of the page with technicians that quickly understand my needs and provide me with a solution or a link to relevant information.

There are various pricing options for this product. You can start with a free account but if you're a large company, the Enterprise account is absolutely the way to go.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to send out mockups and interactions to key stakeholders at my company. InVision has also allowed me to give my offsite development team HTML and CSS styling as well as the ability to hand off elements like imagery and icons.

  ### 12. Simple UX Design for all

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

It’s simple and easy to use. You can create a prototype that looks and functions like the real deal.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

Has a bit of a learning curve. I’m not the best designer, so more presets would’ve been nice.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating a prototype to get to an MVP

  ### 13. Awesome!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jane H. | Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

Easy on the boarding and simple for the beginner prototypist. Well, how it syncs with sketch. Yet it still has all the hoods and bells an advanced designer wants. Good simple transitions, lots of nice templates.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

So far nothing has happened that makes me feel unhappy with this software, they are doing very well.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

Is the best way you can use uq to make your business grow quickly and easily.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's fantastic for the usability testing, as customers may see what a working application looks like and yet the modifications are fairly simple to deploy and try again.

  ### 14. InVision is a great way to host product designs online and communicate with the whole team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

Foremost, InVision provides a number of great ways to upload, organize, and view software product designs as a product or feature evolves. From mobile to desktop, the seamless integration with design products like Sketch and the ease of viewing and commenting on prototypes makes the design to development process all that much better.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

The product is sometimes limited in its functionality, or at least confusing. Menus and options are hidden, and it can be quite difficult to simply find a way to export a design or make changes.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

Carefully organize your prototypes and content, and make sure to have enough user profiles for your company! We know from experience that sharing an account across many users can fill up quick!

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our business need is quite simple and universal - we need a way to share hi-fi designs across our product team, to be updated regularly and seen by the team and internal/external stakeholders. With InVision, sharing has been so much easier than it would be otherwise - imagine having to email/message designs all over the place! It's messy.

  ### 15. Invision App

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nimesh C. | User Experience Designer, Banking, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

It provides great feature to sync and publish Sketch Files which could be previwed on browser.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

Invision lacks in interaction as it seems like its just a page to page link but no option to add dynamic capabilites and animations for transitions.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving the Customer Experince problem by designing intutive latyouts in sketch and publishing it in invisong for devs to code.

  ### 16. Solid Cloud-Based Prototyping

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim N. | Director Of Product Design, Consumer Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

InVision is a solid, cloud-based prototyping tool. It works with Sketch, Photoshop, or plain-old image files. It's simple to get a prototype built in matter of minutes

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

While InVision is solid, its support for animations is totally lacking compared to other products. InVision's alpha product, InVision Studio, promises to change that, but it's not fully ready yet.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickly building web/mobile prototypes for user testing

  ### 17. Excellent for quick prototypes

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

I use invision a lot to make prototypes for desktop and mobile. I like that it can sync with other cloud accounts and overall has an easy setup. You can drag and drop files with the same string of name and it would automatically update that frame or even let you know that you might be replacing an exisiting frame in the prototype.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

I wish that invision can allow to create hover and click on hotspots together at the same time. I think this feature can be useful when designing a menu bar that has hover states but you also want that hover state to be actionable.

user testing was a bit hard to find, need to make that easier to be accessed.

I also think that it is very easy to lose track of your shared links to prototypes.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

being able to create quick prototypes is the key feature here. It saves a lot of going back and fort between the client and the team members.

  ### 18. The best way to test our models and designs.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Skylar M. | Manager, Apparel & Fashion, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

The best way to test our models and designs. I like that the design is SO beautiful. You can share the design. I like that this software is able to get feedback, which is also helpful to improve our projects.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

Even though the design is beautiful, sometimes it can be difficult to work with (like looking for features).

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

I would recommend this software to anyone looking for a beautiful, creative way to test out designs.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a great program that has helped us build our projects and designs from the start.

  ### 19. My Vision through InVision

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sabrina B. | Freelance Graphic Designer, Real Estate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2017

**What do you like best about InVision?**

This is a wonderful little tool if you want to have interactive prototypes to include into your profile. I love the slick feel of the website and overall style and theme. This service brings a level of professionalism to any new designer's portfolio.
I love the ease of use in creating a mood board. I use this website in conjunction with Pinterest to make some really wicked looking character development boards. I love gathering the images from pinterest and then implementing them into the mood boards on InVision. This really helps with fleshing out new characters for future stories.
Additionally, some may say that the tools that come with InVision make for a less complex design but honestly, if you can think a little bit outside of the box then you will find that you can make some fairly complex prototypes.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

When it comes to sharing and collaborating with InVision, that's when the service really begins to become nerve wracking. I hear countless stories about people trying to share a simple prototype with their colleagues that are being met with immense frustration.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

I would give the same recommendation for all software and that is to practice with it so that it comes easier. Even though this website is pretty simple to maneuver around.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use this website for both mocking up Apps for my portfolio. This is a great resource for making professional looking apps. Furthermore, I utilize the mood boards on this website for developing my characters.

  ### 20. Almost perfect

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Guillem E. | Lead UI/UX Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2017

**What do you like best about InVision?**

The ease of use and the integration with Sketch (Craft). Very good UX (when it works). Also, their blogs, events and communication in general is great, providing great value to the design community and engaging users by going beyond the product.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

Unfortunatelly, Invision is quite unestable, in both versions, desktop and mobile. For the desktop version, the links/hotspots fail quite often and for the mobile version, some projects fail to open. Real time synchronization between desktop and mobile, which is a great and useful tool, doesn't work most of the time. We also miss some features like the possibility to disable "swipe" for mobile prototypes, which causes unexpected behaviour on our usability testings.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

First of all, despite its weaks and strengths, this is the standard tool for prototyping. It is widely used worldwide, among UI, UX and product designers in startups and digital companies in general, so, knowing this tool is a must. It's integration with Sketch, via Craft (Invision's plugin suite) take the most of it and makes prototyping much smooth and easy to maintain. Keep an eye to the new version of Invision (coming soon), and other Invision products like Studio (2018) that will probably take prototyping to the next level.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Despite the technical issues, the benefits are huge for our company. It help us to think, conceptualize, prototype, test and validate new products and features before implement them. It's also the main tool, along with Zeplin, that we use for QA and especially, for project delivering between design and engineering.

  ### 21. Speedy mockups and saved development hours

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

It’s allows designers to quickly iterate app designs for client approval without spending development hours providing app mockups.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

The product doesn’t allow you to easily view an app’s navigation flows, especially when each screen needs designs for multiple states (happy path, error states, no internet connection, etc.). We’ve also experienced troubles when using custom fonts, where the developer often has to look through the code snippets provided by Invision to find the name of a font as its autofill mechanism doesn't work too well.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

Compare with Zeplin and see which is better for your needs, as the two are almost equivalent in features.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

App/website mock designs and simple prototyping for client approval before development starts.

  ### 22. Good linking with Sketch

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

Ability to prototype and sync directly from Sketch

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

Inability to preview interactive prototype within Sketch, having to go into Invision to preview and realizing there are changes to be made back in Sketch

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Designing a system for content management

  ### 23. Design tool with many use cases

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2017

**What do you like best about InVision?**

InVision has a great plug-in with Sketch that updates images in InVision with changes from Sketch. It's so convenient to not have to export assets and re-upload and re-link files. It speeds up my workflow and keeps my computer free of tons of different versions of files.

InVision's LiveShare tool is also great for remote collaboration and pair designing. There's a feature where someone can choose to be the main presenter, so everyone else only sees what that person sees on their screen, so it's easy to follow along.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

In order for others to see and make use of InVision's "Inspect" tool, you need to add users, which costs money. Zeplin is a free alternative.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

With InVision Studio coming out soon, it's definitely worth looking into getting a license.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to see the flow of interactions vs. individual screens helps me design overall better flows and elicits helpful feedback from others.

  ### 24. my review of InVision

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julia W. | Design Director, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

I like the fact that I can create and test prototypes of all kinds. I can share it with my team and get feedback.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

For me, it is a bit complicated to use.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

I would recommend it to anyone who uses Sketch because you can upload your work directly from there.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to test my design prototypes and get opinions from other workers and customers.

  ### 25. The Premier Collaborative Design System

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex H. | CEO & Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2017

**What do you like best about InVision?**

I love how I can easily involve a design team along with developers and other stakeholders to produce a more high fidelity design solution with less headaches and clearer understanding. InVision manages to make designer’s jobs easier.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

I’d prefer to have more control over animations and and multiple versions of assets, but all in all, the current solution isn’t bad in this regard.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

In Lean Startup fashion, test it out as you go and see if it can accommodate all your needs before investing all your time and your team’s time into using it.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

InVision Will help your business reach the finish line more quickly and with more confidence. I think that is what all of this software is really trying to do anyway. You will enjoy a more thorough creative process coming to life with every project because this facilitates what these smart people naturally want to do! Design better stuff!

  ### 26. It works.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Derek L. | Web Developer / Designer, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about InVision?**

It's super easy to pick-up and use, for the designer AND the "critic." Easy to annotate and collaborate on a design. And a few good options to deliver and demo.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

Going to be honest. At the time I last used it, there wasn't user testing/recording... I begged but eventually I had to move on to other things. But now that's addressed, I'm back!

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

Go with the one that your team is going to enjoy and clients are going to not look at you funny. Invision definitely fits the bill here. User testing is also what the doctor ordered...

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basic wire-frames for when you are further into your design phase.

  ### 27. InVision it's the best rapid prototyping tool we've found

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fernando G. | Entrepreneur, Venture Capital & Private Equity, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2017

**What do you like best about InVision?**

I use InVision to turn our high-fidelity designs into clickable prototypes and present them to internal stakeholders and clients. It allows us to present our designs in a fun way and really helps to validate the designs at every stage of the process.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

Since I'm not a Sketch user, I certainly feel excluded from all the cool features that inVision integrates with Sketch. I would like to see more of these tools integrated with other tools like photoshop.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

Try it, it's free so you don't have anything to lose. If you like it and find it useful, you can always upgrade to get more cool features. Besides, inVision has become a standard in the industry, it's always a good idea to know how to use it. It could give more value to your resume.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a UI/UX designer, I find that inVision it's the best tool to create high-fidelity working prototypes. It's the easiest and best way we have found to present to our clients how their finished product or products will look once going live.

  ### 28. The best option for sharing designs and getting feedback from your team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

The ability to make clickthrough prototypes allows me to not only share UI with my team, but also the UX I have in mind.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

I wish there was a way to showcase the old designs side by side with the new designs so people who are just coming in know what we have already changed.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

Try the click-through prototypes!! Its awesome for not only mobile, but desktop.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're solving an issue we had with consolidating feedback for our designs. Now that we have it all in one place we're able to get everyone's input at once. This has allowed us to more quickly iterate on designs which allows us to get out products faster

  ### 29. The go-to tool for rapid prototyping

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

InVision is very easy to use and get started and has very good integration with many design applications like Sketch and Photoshop. Their features for mobile prototyping are exceptional, allowing you to specify gestures and animations between slides.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

I wish they had more flexible pricing options for freelancers. I also wish they had more support for responsive web design.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

If you use Sketch or Photoshop for designing your mockups, check out the Craft extension (also by InVision) which will make the prototyping process even easier.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use InVision to prototype new features for various websites and applications. We have been able to save on a lot of development costs because InVision allows to quickly create a functioning prototype that we can then send off for user testing before the actual implementation.

  ### 30. Top tool for app designers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Megan C. | Digital Marketing Associate, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

Easy mockups for apps. Good tool to creat the look and feel of an app

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

Building interactions aren’t intuitive and could be better

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

App design and development

  ### 31. A Collaboration Dream

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adaoha O. | UX Designer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2017

**What do you like best about InVision?**

This tool is awesome when it comes to collaborating as a team! And the fact that it is easily integrated with Sketch is like the cherry on top.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

There are still come interactions I wish Invision has. I wish it has more advanced interactions as well as conditionals and taking user input. I find that when coming from prototyping with a tool like Axure then transitioning to Invision, it may seem as if it's lacking a bit with options/variety.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

This tool may seem a bit confusing at first, but give it a chance! It took me a little while to get use to, especially coming from Axure, but its quick and easy once you get the hang of it, and a wonderful prototyping tool!

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This solves the problem of collaborating with remote workers. When working in a team of nine which more than 80% of my team remote, this was a life saver. Before, we'd put files in some kind of file sharing system and each team member would check it out or lock the file while reviewing, but this tool made all that a thing of the past. Now everyone can go in (at the same time -- bonus!) and leave their comments or any suggestions as to how to improve the prototype. It is also great with user research because a majority of our clients are remote / off site. When we want to gather findings or have a walk though of the tool, a link can easily be shared with a client who can go in and maneuver the prototype without any guidance.

  ### 32. For rapid prototyping

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Animation | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

Expressing design iterations and ideas for rapid exploration.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

Buggy, sometimes things do not work as expected.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

Stick it out, this is a useful tool.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communicating visually without having to write a bunch of code, focusing on design.

  ### 33. Convenient, but could be better IMO

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Grégoire d. | Head of Growth (Remote), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

The collaboration options: it's easy to comment and discuss design projects.
The sharing options: easy to understand and simple to use
The option to create click zones to mimic a real website.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

It's not possible to browse mockups when the commenting mode is activated.
I haven't found a way to display pictures in their original full size.
Updating designs is too complex. Most of the times, we end up creating a new project instead of updating an existing project.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working on product and website prototypes.

  ### 34. Great tool for collaboration and prototyping

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2017

**What do you like best about InVision?**

I probably use the comment function the most. This allows me to exchange ideas with my colleagues (stakeholders, developers, designers) in a fast-paced and iterative process (with the help of Craft) and to improve our product and document these changes.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

The Kanban system workflow might still need some attention. A kind of cross-project workflow within the teams would be perfect.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

It helps to keep the team in sync, share opinions and changes with the whole team (with the help of Craft), and designers can switch to the latest version or roll back changes at any time. It's easy to use and has a very nice User Experience. Also, it is not very pricey for smaller teams or even Enterprise, and there are many plans to choose from to meet your requirements.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick collaboration and clickable dummies for user testing are great benefits. We want to make our process more transparent and have a place where we can store all our assets, style guides, and files. We are eagerly anticipating InVision DMS Design System Manager and Studio and hope to optimize our team and workflow with them. With the help of InVision Enterprise and UserTesting.com, we can further advance our user research department.

  ### 35. A practical tool to simulate a website or an app

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Camille B. | Graphiste, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2017

**What do you like best about InVision?**

I like to add hotspots to create interaction and links between pages. The sections in the project are very useful to organize pages when we have a big project. The comment mode is also useful when we share the project and make it evolve.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

A feature is missing in Invision that could be very handy however: we cannot send to anchors in another page. It's only possible to send to a point in the current page.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Invision serves me to present projects to my boss. This allows him to better project in the site and the interactions of the pages.

  ### 36. Very intuitive and easy to use, very powerful software.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jaclyn G. | Graphic Designer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2017

**What do you like best about InVision?**

I love that it creates the sense from your working files how the mockups you create would look live. The mapping of links within the files makes it easy for my developer to understand flows of the website.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

I don't like the hideous dark radial gradient that lives behind projects that are too thin to take up the whole with of a project box.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me show visually quickly how I want an app or web page to function to my clients.

  ### 37. Gets the job done

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

Easy to use and understand. I like the simple ability to be able to share prototypes with stakeholders.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

Very buggy, it takes months at best for them to resolve any issues. It feels like they are putting their focus on other products and are neglecting their bread and butter.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Click through prototypes are a key component in sharing and getting designs approved.

  ### 38. Useful for designers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ilaria Z. | Visual designer, Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

It's very useful to quickly prototype and test your design and interfaces.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

It's an online tool and the free versions has few projects.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

It's the fastest and easiest tool for UI/UX designers to test their ideas and prototypes without loosing too much time.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When you have to quickly test your design, it's very useful and easy. You can have a cool prototype and show it to possibile users and colleagues to get feedbacks.

  ### 39. Very easy, quick prototyping tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deacon A. | UX Designer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2017

**What do you like best about InVision?**

It's so incredibly easy to use, and they've added a lot of helpful features over time (overlays, fixed header/footer/ etc). When used with Sketch or Photoshop, you can sync your files/assets with InVision so that your prototype stays up to date as your source file changes.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

Lacking in realistic form prototyping (text areas/etc). It would be nice to be able to utilize realistic text areas for user testing purposes. Another benefit that is currently missing is a fixed sidebar. It would be nice to be able to take a small png and drag/drop that onto the current screen for quick reference.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

Even just for the free trial- consider giving InVision a shot! It's a very fast/easy prototyping tool.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick prototyping and user testing. We've been able to test business ideas with high-fidelity prototypes by uploading images and/or source files and easily setting up hotspots for user testing. This has allowed us to quickly iterate on user feedback and make big changes to business ideas that have saved clients thousands of dollars.

  ### 40. InVision's wide array of uses

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

InVision is super intuitive to use, I didn't have to watch a bunch of how-to videos to figure it out, and when you are as time-crunched as most marketers are, this is huge!

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

It is hard to find things like the sharing functions, even though they keep the UI very simple and hide things this can backfire.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Invision for mocking up website pages, collaborating with clients/designers, mocking up emails, and so much else. I love tools that are general enough to use for multiple functions, not having to learn/sign up for/configure yet another online tool!

  ### 41. Great for sharing mockups and prototypes

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 27, 2017

**What do you like best about InVision?**

Able to sync with Sketch easily (via plug-ins), easy to manage different projects and screens, easy to share projects with others to collaborate or view/comment on. Good system for adding comments to screens. Great spec view for developers - removes the need for the designer to create annotations or excess style guides. Nice interface, simple and clean.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

Gets bulky when you upload too many screens for one project - harder to organize in mass quantities, you have to try to upload them in the order you want otherwise it takes forever to re-order them, since you have to move them manually, it doesn't auto-sort for you. It has a limited number of "statuses" that you can create for each project. You can group screens into sections, but you can't say "view all in section D" quickly, to filter those out and see only those (you can use statuses for this, but it's not how it's intended). Other aspects of the site are not the best in their subject - i.e. their prototype creation with hotspots is slower and more limited than others.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to share mockups with developers - inVision has a mode where the devs can see the specs (color, size, font, spacing, etc) right on the screen by hovering over different items. It does this automatically and we don't have to do any extra annotation work. It also handles versions of screens, so we can update them and the developers see the latest version immediately.

  ### 42. A "nearly perfect" prototyping tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shahrooz F. | IT Business Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2017

**What do you like best about InVision?**

InVision is purely designed based on a "designer mindset" and this makes the platform very easy to use for other designers. It gives the basics of UI and UX design to create a prototype fast and easy.
You are at the peak of the learning curve from the beginning with its simple yet professional User Interface and great User Experience. Another feature I like is "Fixed footer" and "Fixed header" sections which are very useful in designing the prototype.
Collaboration
Another great feature of InVision is Craft plugin which can be installed on Photoshop and Sketch to sync the design with the service directly from the desktop. Amazing!

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

Actually, there is nothing that I dislike in InVision except limitations on free accounts which obviously are needed for the business purposes! So, no complaint about that! But, the pricing is not convenient for everyone and I categorize it as an expensive online service.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

It's free for your first project, so try it with no hesitation! You will enjoy working with it.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

InVision made Interactive prototyping very easy. Its "LiveShare" feature is very handy for presenting the prototype to clients or other team members. It has great tools for team collaborations like Group sketch over the design or on a virtual whiteboard, Toll-free conference call, etc.
Also, downloading the prototype is another great benefit of InVision which allows you to host your prototype on your own server.

  ### 43. So many bugs

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mara N. | Premium WordPress and Shopify themes, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

I like their interface, it looks nice and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

They have some serious bugs. On of the biggest is that if you have a public project URL and then upload a new screens and delete old one, the new one will not show. In other words, the screens will not update. Second big bug is that it can be slow, so if you're on conf call showing screens and want to upload a new one to show to your client, it may take a while - which makes you look incompetent.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can show the screens and leave the comments with the hotspot.

  ### 44. Amazing mock up generator for showing clients examples of softwares

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave P. | CEO & Co-Founder, Publishing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2017

**What do you like best about InVision?**

The ability to create clickable hot spots on your UI to transition. Easily share your project via text to show a mock up of your app. Transitions and animation effects when you click on a hot spot.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

There is a lack in the ability to customize the actions that happen when you click on a hot spot. There's time I want a custom action to happen but the reactions to clicks is very limited.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

Figure out all the different ways to create hot spots and interactions between the different views early on as that's mainly how you'll use it.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to quickly mock up UI designs, whether it's a desktop or mobile app, and share it with a client or colleague and have them interact with it as if it was already built.

  ### 45. Quick and Easy Prototypes that Wow!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2017

**What do you like best about InVision?**

Love that I can connect Invision app with Photoshop or just drag and drop updates as needed. Being able to bring still images to life with transitions and paths through the app really help give clients and customers a feel for what their app could be and how it will flow. We catch a lot of little UX things during the prototyping process.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

Which there was even more flexibility with transitions and paths between images, links and buttons. If it had logic that would bring even more power.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

Easy and quick to use. There are other prototyping options out there but bang for your buck... I would suggest InvisionApp and their other tools as well.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Customers like pretty things. Pretty things that move and show you what your app could be are huge. This also helps take a lot of questions that we would receive from the dev team as well. It helps paint a more clear picture of how the app should flow.

  ### 46. excellent prototyping tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

So easy to use, learning curve is very low and so powerful.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

Uploading assets is a little tedious and can cause confusion at times

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to do quick prototyping with to understand the flow of the app.

  ### 47. InVision is powerful and incredibly useful

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2017

**What do you like best about InVision?**

I like that it has enough options to get the job done, but is simple enough that coworkers who aren't "tech savvy" can review designs and make feedback easily. It also integrates well with Sketch, which makes importing mock-ups much easier.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

The free plan only allows 3 prototypes, which isn't that many, especially when you're working on a lot of short term projects.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have discovered how easy it is to get mock-up designs into the hands of people who need to review them. It also gives developers a good starting point if it's a project that I'm not seeing through to completion.

  ### 48. The best software to review projects

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pragati S. | UI/ Graphic Designer, Financial Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2017

**What do you like best about InVision?**

The best thing about this software is that it makes projects more appealing. Also it is extremely simple to use and upload files. You can simply drag and drop to upload a file into a project. Also this software is prompt and fast loading.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

When you drag and drop some files into invison, it sometimes rearranges everything automatically. Also there is no undo option to undo a change. Also there has to be more shortcuts for fluidity.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

I would recommend this to anyone working in the design industry. It makes your work more presentable and less cluttered. Also anyone can use it and it does not require any special skills to use it.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its makes work more presentable and professional. Its is easy to send project link to clients for review. Also you can view your project in various screen size like mobile or desktop making it more appealing and efficient.

  ### 49. Invision

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

Easy to collaborate with other teammates and there is a myriad of effects when I am prototyping my designs. I also like that I can integrate it with Sketch App, so my designs save automatically to Invision will I design in Sketch.

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

I don't like that I've had various instances where the prototype link does not work when I embed it on to my portfolio site.

**Recommendations to others considering InVision:**

Go for it. You get one free project, so test out the effects and try out the collaboration and testing tools that Invision offers.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives me the ability to show clients and decision makers how an app can look like and also function. It is a simple yet effective way to show the experience a user can have when they interact with the app.

  ### 50. Website with invision

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2018

**What do you like best about InVision?**

Ability to view and review others work easily through one location, and comment/give feedback easily

**What do you dislike about InVision?**

Going back to look at old designs, wasn’t always fluid and sometimes got lost looking at the different sections.

**What problems is InVision solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Marketing site. Good for collaborating with team
