InvestNext is very simple to use. Setting up a capital raise and then managing that capital throughout the investment is all streamlined easily. I also love the ability to process payouts, according to my customized waterfalls, directly from the platform. I have used other platforms that charge way more money that can't even do that. It would be amazing if it was a bit more robust in terms of lead generation and CRM to handle new investors. That side of things is a bit limited. If it handled that in this platform it would be amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This is my first time using InvestNext as a co-sponsor. I overlooked my investor's initial documentations and realized we needed to correct it after the deal was closed. The complexity is there was a wall between the lead sponsor and the co-sponsor. So, we could not fix the problem by ourselves. My primary role has been a co-sponsor. I'm not sure what the lead sponsor could see. One thing surprised me was that it seemed that the lead sponsor had to manually add me to the Communication portal after the capital raising was closed. The platform is very effective at:
1. registering all potential investors and tracking their activity
2. Fundraising - great setup that is fully integrated that tracks the status of investors all the way from interest to soft commits with fully integrated docusign to track status of getting all documents signed.
3. Program Management - Easily send out distributions to all investors. Each investor can login and track their own returns.

I like the integration aspect. I have a lot of other tools and CRM's that I use so this is a big help although I have not really delved into it that much but it is one of the things that made me sign up in the first place. I actually don't like that when I am on my phone I have to go to my browser and log into my account through there, I hope a mobile app will be developed to make things easier for when people like me are on the go and with how frequent I can use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that it feels sophisticated. Its relatively straightforward what to dofor investors which is helpful for the old guys who don't do tech. 3rd party accrediation letter is nice. Like that it can do ACH on the site. The customer support is phenomenal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It wasn't really streamlined for 401Ks / retirement accounts. Its easy to make duplicate accounts on accident and our investors got confused because every field on our subscription booklet was required. We just didn't realize that it was set up this way. Long story short it is just a book learning curve to use and use properly. Not super easy to use at first. Felt like it made our raise harder this time around (being the 1st) but I'm sure it will be easier on the next now that we've gotten out the kinks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Their investor portal takes all the pain out of the subscription agreement signing process, review and analysis of the fund, and basic customer support. It was very easy to integrate with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a hard money lender, the software isn't a perfect fit, since its mainly built for capital raising rather than loan management. So the only downside is that investors don't have an easy way to seeing our loan level data aka how the fund operations are doing - unless we manually upload all the info which isn't an option with hundreds of loans. The customer service has been incredible and the interface is great. They are also very responsive an open to hearing things that can be improved on their site. They also have enabled a feature where you can generate a report on almost any data that is reflected in the portal, which has been extremely helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the new document scanner feature for uploading tax documents takes a long time. However, it has gotten better already in the 2 months that it has been an active feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I am also not thrilled with some of the backend administrative capabilities. For example, in order fo rme to see which investors have opened and read an email from the platform, I have to go into each contact's profile to check this. It would be much better if there is a report generated for each mass email to see number of people who opened it, how much time they spent reading it, and possibly seeing if the investor clicked thru any links provided in the email. Nothing unusual like any other new softwares. Very minimal points which can be resolved by simple workarounds. But one thing very useful is to improve their E-signature features; implement more flexibility like the ability to correct forms even if one party has already signed Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
