I also don't like that there are glitches way too often. I'm not too fond that support isn't local, and it's hard to work with outsourced support. The software is great and works fine, but it doesn't offer traditional debits and credits when pulling ledgers, and most companies switch from QuickBooks to more powerful platforms due to intercompany transactions (multiple-entities). There are no automated features, such as scheduling journal entry reversals. It can manage your payroll, sales tax, inventory (e-commerce) for you and has many bolt-on apps adding to it's flexibility. It's great for small businesses but also scaleable as you grow. Sure, It's never going to be an ERP for a large organization but a fantastic and useable tool **What do you dislike about Intuit QuickBooks?** One of the downsides of quickbooks is the banking connections. While you can connect to the bank / credit card companies this seems to be the most unstable piece of Quickbooks. Often times you can just reconnect without issues but there are occasions when the only think you can do is delete the connection and create it again. That in itself can cause some issues with the transactions that get pulled in and can get confusing. This is where a little more financial understanding is needed **What problems is Intuit QuickBooks solving and how is that benefiting you?** Quickbooks allows me to stay on top of finances without needing to hire an external accountant for which there just isn't enough volume at the moment. Being simple and intuitive means the only time I need to include my CPA is when I have an issue, make a mistake or submit taxes. With that said, the Intuit team are very helpful and my first go to if I make a mistake ### 35. Dashboard is pretty intuitive which makes accountants work easier to enter credit and debit finally preparing income tax statements. **What do you dislike about Intuit QuickBooks?** Customer support is little slow in terms of reporting issues and finding solutions. When I was first learning I would sometimes confuse where I was inputting data, but it's pretty easy to correct as needed. **What do you dislike about Intuit QuickBooks?** If you are using it at the same time as another user, then sometimes your data isn't saved. Not Great for Multiple Users and Companies - Desktop Enterprise Version **Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Christy W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2023 **What do you like best about Intuit QuickBooks?** - Provides standard tools expected in accounting software - Ability to secure users' roles and access to different transactions within the system - Many web-based tools integrate with the system - Robust ability to download data into spreadsheets - Allows users to save custom reports - Ability to copy transactions or build recurring transactions - The system is flexible when you know how to manage the options. **What do you dislike about Intuit QuickBooks?** - No approval workflows in the system - Not intuitive for non-accountant users. - Once a check is cut, the bill is marked paid; this may not be the case if issuing paper checks and there is a delay in signing and sending the payment. The same can be said for any payment entered manually such as a bank wire or card payment. - The system has what I have started calling 'ghost' users. Sometimes the system does not entirely close out a user when they exit the system. This ghost prevents the user from logging in the next time. The only fix is to restart the computer. - PO system is extremely basic and requires a lot of configuration. We do not use the Sales Orders but would assume the same configuration would also be required in these transactions. - With flexibility comes management, QuickBooks requires a LOT - Connectivity to web-based tools to augment QuickBooks is sometimes difficult to manage. - QuickBooks support can take hours to get a live person **What problems is Intuit QuickBooks solving and how is that benefiting you?** - The system provides some built-in reporting tools - Duplicate vendor payments are not permitted - Information is available for cash flow projections - Ability to close books to prevent changes in reporting ### 47. Everything is documented and I have all customer details in one place.
