"ProConnect: Taxes For the Pros"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Intuit ProConnect Tax?

The best part of ProConnect is it seamless integration with other Intuit Products especially Quickbooks. With a few clicks you can import all of your client's data. It takes a lot of the manual entry out of the equation and saves a ton of time. Not to mention you can directly request information from your clients and create year over year workpapers directly in ProConnect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Intuit ProConnect Tax?

When first using ProConnect, it has a learning curve to it. You can spend hours clicking around trying to figure what screen you need to be in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The most organized and streamlined software to fulfill your tax filing needs."
5/5
What do you like best about Intuit ProConnect Tax?

The most helpful tool in ProConnect is the import hub to import tax documents like W-2s to include this income in the most streamlined way. I also like the option to upload supporting tax information in the documents section for each year. This helps to store client information in a secure and organized way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Intuit ProConnect Tax?

The least helpful thing in ProConnect is the inability to categorize importing documents to match the correct section. An example is uploading 1099s and having ProConnect actually include it in the specific category to which it belongs to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"EASIEST WAY TO HELP CLIENTS RECEIVE ACCURATE REFUNDS."
5/5
What do you like best about Intuit ProConnect Tax?

THAT YOU CAN UPLOAD CLIENTS TAXES AND INFORMATION TO SOFTWARE, MAKING IT EASY TO POPULATE THE INFORMATION INTO THE SYSTEM, BEING A USER OF OTHER SOFTWARE AND COMPARING THEM TO INTUIT PRO CONNECT TAX IS A BIG DIFFERENCE, BEFORE I HAD TO ENTER MANUALLY ALL CLIENTS INFO, NOW WITH THIS SOFTWARE IS EASIER, AND WHAT I MOST LIKE IS THE WAY THE SYSTEM, CHECK THE RETURN AND DOESN'T SEND THE REFUND UTNIL IS FIXED. ALSO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY HAVE IS AMAZING. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Intuit ProConnect Tax?

THE ONLY UPSIDE DOWN I SEE WITH THIS SOFTWARE IS THAT YOU HAVE TO "REVIEW" THE TAXES IN ORDER TO SEE THE AMOUNT OF REFUND OR TAXES OWED BY CLIENTS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Start - but not quite there"
4/5
What do you like best about Intuit ProConnect Tax?

The integration of all Intuit Accountant products is very streamlined and beneficial when wanting to promoted and offera an beginning-to-end client experience/service. It's very appealing to clients when you can go from books-to-tax-to-advisery all within the same program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Intuit ProConnect Tax?

Certain inputs and screens are not very commmon sense or easy to figure out; some even being opposite of how they are described or presented. There are also certain tiny details which I wish could be changed or added: creating joint accounts for married coupled, being able to change the INDIVIDUAL/BUSINESS client type (for Schedule C clients in QBOA). "The Future"
4/5
What do you like best about Intuit ProConnect Tax?

For me, the best part of ProConnect is the simplicity. It's a clean, web-based interface that I can access anywhere, and it feels like everything is at your fingertips. Some pages are overly long, so screen real estate is essential, but the built-in search works extremely well. Compared to other desktop solutions, ProConnect is faster, and gets me from A to B in less time. I love the integration with QBO for easy to medium difficulty returns. I also love the built-in error-checking features. While not perfect, the error database is based on Intuit's decades of tax software experience, and it shows. Overall, I am very pleased with the software and it continues to get better regularly. In my opinion, this is clearly the future of tax software, and it's delivered in a package that is ready for most things today. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Intuit ProConnect Tax?

There are a few things I don't like about ProConnect, but none of them are deal breakers for me. My biggest gripe is that the AI and data-scanning features are underdeveloped at this point. I have seen them improve consistently, and I trust that they will continue to get better over time, but Intuit has some work to do here. Please expand the number of forms that the software can OCR and directly import! I also find that Intuit Link is great when it works but very frustrating when something goes wrong. I need a way to see what my client sees so that I can walk them through the portal. Finally, I'd like to see better filtering options. When preparing a 990 for a nonprofit organization, the software presents me with every imaginable option, field, and menu that could possibly apply to nonprofit organizations. I know when my client qualifies for a 990-EZ instead of the full form, please give us the option to filter so that I only see input fields applicable to the EZ version of the form! "Easy to learn, easy to navigate, easy to bill"
5/5
What do you like best about Intuit ProConnect Tax?

I've been thoroughly impressed with Intuit ProConnect. The user-friendly navigation makes it easy to find what I need quickly—whether it's client data, tax forms, or e-file status. The interface is intuitive, even for more complex returns.

What really sets ProConnect apart is its AI-driven tools. From auto-filling forms to intelligent diagnostics, the platform saves serious time and minimizes errors. It feels like having an extra set of (very smart) hands working alongside me.

And the customer service? Outstanding. Any time I’ve had a question or needed guidance, the support team has been responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful.

If you're looking for a tax solution that blends simplicity, innovation, and top-tier support, ProConnect is the way to go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Intuit ProConnect Tax?

I would prefer to include tables within engagement letters for service fees. It would make the product more professional looking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Overall a pretty good experience but room for improvement"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Intuit ProConnect Tax?

- Software is in the cloud

- The flow of how the software works makes sense & the UI is relatively clean

- Intuit has made some improvement over the years

- Once you learn the software, post learning curve, it's relatively easy to use but can still feel clunky

- The support call line is super helpful & those folks are always so friendly & supportive.

- I enjoy the preview returns ability Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Intuit ProConnect Tax?

- Big pain point:The intuit questionnaire link is one of our biggest pain points. You cannot make multiple questionnaires inside Intuit link, which means we need to use a separate questionnaire service which is pretty frustrating

- Big pain point: Intuit link only goes to one spouse...there is no "joint login" or ability to send two log ins, one to each spouse. This is super frustrating as it requires one spouse to always be excluded & unable to upload their documents.

- Sometimes is difficult to figure out how to enter a specific line item in the software & requires a call to support. Even clicking on the preview return to go to the area where you enter in the data points is not always helpful.

- I dislike that the client can "link" their account which pulls in the transcript. In theory this sounds great, but ends up being more work for us preparers. I wish we could turn off those settings & had a better ability to edit the client portal in Intuit link. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Review for Intuit ProConnect Tax"
3/5
What do you like best about Intuit ProConnect Tax?

I like how it streamlines complex tax returns while maintaining a user-friendly interface. The cloud-based accessibility allows for real-time collaboration and flexibility, which is especially helpful during busy season. I also appreciate the integration with QuickBooks and the powerful diagnostics that help catch potential errors before filing. Overall, it saves time and helps ensure accuracy—two things that are critical in a professional tax environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Intuit ProConnect Tax?

One area I think ProConnect Tax could improve is the pricing structure, especially for smaller firms or those with a lower volume of returns. The per-return pricing can add up quickly, which may limit its accessibility. Additionally, while the software is powerful, there’s a bit of a learning curve for new users, particularly when navigating less common tax scenarios. That said, the available support and training materials help bridge that gap over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless and User Friendly!"
5/5
What do you like best about Intuit ProConnect Tax?

I love the integration with QuickBooks. It makes tax return prep and review much more efficient. It cuts down on time and reduces risk of erroneous entries. It's also pretty intuitive to navigate. This is my first season using it and I am already very comfortable navigating and problem-solving. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Intuit ProConnect Tax?

I think there is room for improvement with the actual filing of returns and extensions. On the 'Filing' screen I would like to see the extension payment being submitted with the extension, same as the returns. I would also like to be able to see the payment submitted with the return/extension on the E-File dashboard. This created a lot of confusion and ultimate payment errors for the team because we didn't know what was being paid/had been paid. Finally, I would like to be able to access XMLs. As this is what is actually sent to the IRS, it makes me uncomfortable that I am not able to view it. This is the first software I have worked with where I could not view the XML. "Made My First Year as an Independent Tax Preparer Much Easier"
4/5
What do you like best about Intuit ProConnect Tax?

As someone who just started my own small tax practice, ProConnect gave me the flexibility and confidence to manage over 50 returns in my first season. I really appreciated how it pulled in client data from QuickBooks and let me jump between forms seamlessly. The cloud-based access was a game-changer when I needed to finish up returns on the go. Customer support was also very helpful when setting up my account. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Intuit ProConnect Tax?

The per-return pricing added up quickly, especially when dealing with clients who had simple needs. I also found that it took a bit of time to get used to the interface, and some of the help articles weren’t always detailed enough for niche tax issues. Still, once I got the hang of it, the workflow felt much smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
