We have been using Lacerte since 2005 and have been very pleased with the service. Our expereience with customer support has been great, they are usually quick to get in touch with an actual person and are able to usually able to solve any issues. I don't have any particular dislike using Lacerte Tax, I have used it for over 30 years, and generally they improve things continually, and add functions and tools before I ever knew I wanted or needed them, and now I use them on a regular basis. The firm I work for appreciates the functionality and powerful features available for many different types of clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Intuit Lacerte Tax? As a junior user of this software I find it difficult to navigate, 1099-MISC does NOT move to it's appropriate place within the Schedule 1 and is easily overlooked. With so many softwares moving into a better visualized space, single hubs for document management, and lack of automatic integration year to year. Lacerte is fairly user-friendly. No training is required in order to get started in the software, and it is intuitive and self-explanatory. The support online is great. I was always able to find an answer when I wasn't sure how to input something specific. We had no downtime with Lacerte and it's servers, and that was a big improvement over different software providers. It was easy for my new employees to learn. Support needs to be more educated on tax preparation and tax preparer needs. I have spent countless hours on the phone with support only to be left with no solution. Ohio city education is crutial. There are no support personel that are able to help with city issues. Our firm has had to go to the actual city websites and manually print a return to file. It does not carryover the K-1s from business to personal and breaks and allocates it down by state and has to be done manually. it is also not good at handling some complex things or does not handle personal property tax with counties and states like other softwares.
