I find Intrepid by VitalSource to be a strong platform for cohort-based, applied learning. It excels at creating structured, multi-week learning journeys that seamlessly blend content, discussions, assignments, and facilitator engagement. I really appreciate the clean and intuitive learner experience, which supports accountability and social learning much better than traditional LMS. Intrepid is an intuitive, user-friendly platform that makes it easy to create content in a highly engaging, learner-centric way. Its aesthetically pleasing and customizable so you can really create the flow of content in a way that learners appreciate. I love that you can add a blend of video, audio, text, context, activities, etc. and address not only multiple learning preferences, but also all of Bloom's taxonomy from quizzes to peer reviewed projects. While it tries to be social, there are some issues with sending out notifications when people post comments, discussion topics, etc. People expect it to be more like Facebook or other social platforms they use. So discussion forums are always the lowest rated factor in the platform because people don't get as much out of these features as they'd like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The learner experience is second to none. As a developer I can create great content quickly and it is immediately available to my learners if I choose. It can also be updated on the fly using just a tablet. The chunking down of learning “modules” allows greater flexibility both in building content and consuming it as a learner. A lack of integration with SCORM based learning modules (it doesn’t behave like an LMS) that would allow us to asses skills (completion data isn’t pulled through from the SCORM module). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Their platform is filled with useful tools to make an eLearning program very interactive. It has great features, polls, video, discussion, quizzes, gamification, leaderboard. I love the simple and sophisticated interface and ability to deliver quality content in an environment that replicates and in some instances, surpasses what you can achieve with traditional ILT. The platform has allowed us to rollout Prepare and Embed content digitally, maximising the ROI on time spent together in a physical location. We have achieved scale that was previously unimaginable, and delivered global programs in timeframes that are simply amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Reporting capability is limited. I hope the future roadmap supports enhancements in dash boarding etc. I'd also love Intrepid to form alliances with other best in class applications to support an optimum learning ecosystem- IE: Examination/Assessment platform, Reporting and analytics engine, pure content aggregation that enables manager self-serve Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Intrepid is perfect for modern, compact and time-efficient learning experience. It delivers what learners need and expect, a no-fuss learning on the go, tailored to available time and environment. Most importantly, it makes learning fun!

That being said, Intrepid can be used for fairly large and complex training programs efficiently.
