## InterSystems Health Connect Reviews
  ### 1. Scalable Integrations with InterSystems Health Connect

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott W. | Healthcare Integration Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about InterSystems Health Connect?**

I've been impressed with InterSystems Health Connect with regards to the intuitiveness of UI/UX, while still maintaining an accessible back end and available customization. Health Connect allows for large scale interface integrations with a focus on performance and scalability.

**What do you dislike about InterSystems Health Connect?**

The price of Health Connect can be a large hurdle for smaller networks, though this is offset by great ROI when it comes to institutions requiring many integrations and scalability. It can be difficult at time to find the right support resources, but once you do, the support is fantastic.

**What problems is InterSystems Health Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Health Connect solves the issue of connecting many disparate EHRs, each with their own custom formatting, at scale. Prior to transitioning to InterSystems Health Connect at my prior position, the number of interfaces/messages quickly became too much for the system to handle, requiring system downtime, new interfaces took much longer (5x) to implement, and maintenance time was drastically reduced (10x) with much better managed support.

  ### 2. Health Connect Makes Multi-Standard Integration Smooth and Structured

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas C. | Technical Program Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2026

**What do you like best about InterSystems Health Connect?**

What I like most about Health Connect is that it makes integration work smoothly, without the overcomplicated processes I’ve run into with other integration engines. It lets you connect multiple systems, handle different standards like FHIR and HL7, and control message flow in a structured way, without having to start from scratch.

**What do you dislike about InterSystems Health Connect?**

Like with any product, the initial setup can feel a bit heavy, especially if you’re new to InterSystems products. Getting productions, routing, and transformations configured correctly takes some time and attention.

Once you move into high-volume environments, troubleshooting can become quite involved. The tools available are powerful, but it can take a while to learn where to look and how to narrow down issues efficiently.

**What problems is InterSystems Health Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It does what it says on the tin. At its core, Health Connect is about interoperability. We use this platform as the backbone of my organisation to provide a dedicated FHIR offering, enabling data exchange between the EHR and other clinical systems. The capability it provides has enabled our teams to deliver so much more.

Health Connect gives you a structured way to route, transform, and monitor integrations, with full visibility so everything flows reliably between systems. In my view, it removes a lot of the complexity and risk from integration work. Instead of building and maintaining lots of custom point-to-point interfaces, you have a central platform that handles it properly.

My last note is around consistency and control: you spend less time firefighting and more time continuously improving production.

  ### 3. Robust platform for integration in health
