**What do you dislike about Insperity?**

If they do not do all areas of HR, then they cannot provide guidance.  Recently asked a question regarding the SOS codes, and was told they can't answer questions becasue they don't have job descriptions, or we do our own.  When I call to inquire on a problem I get more from the HR person than we do with our payroll specialist.  I am not sure I have even spoken with the new client liaison.

Just know if you do any part of the HR function, they will not be willing to assist in some areas.

I find Insperity incredibly easy to use with a great user interface that simplifies tasks. Everything I need is conveniently organized and accessible, which means people don't have to roam around for information. It offers a seamless experience where everything is right there, making it very simple to manage HR-related activities effectively. The payroll feature is particularly valuable, providing clear and efficient management of payroll processes. This software is easy to use and learn. There option to publish to PDF with chart links.

I don't like the way the zoom-in feature is controlled by scrolling.

This is a great product. In addition to the chart, you can view a director list and a sub-chart list, making navigation easy.

This allow us to see each level in the company at a glance. There is room for more than just the name, title and department so it can be customized to some extent. The oprhan feature is great because you can verify you don't have anyone left out on thier own.

I like how the mobile and online website were easy to navigate and find health insurance cards, etc. I also like how they were able to get my small company better benefits that larger companies usually offer.

I dislike that everything we do including payroll seems to funnel through Insperity.

Payroll, Benefits Administration, Training, Corporate Compliance, Month End P&L Reconciliation

**What do you like best about Insperity?**

The fact that I was able to immediately connect with my Insperity Representative when I had questions or needed to resolve an issue.  They have dedicated support personnel that provides their direct contact numbers so you can pick up the phone and call rather than run all requests via email.  This is not the case with other PEO's as many have a more self service business model.

**What do you dislike about Insperity?**

The costs for their services are comingled into various service line items and therefore difficult to ascertain the true cost of service.  They are not inexpensive - but you do pay for a higher level of customer service as compared with other PEO providers.

**Recommendations to others considering Insperity:**

When comparing PEO Providers - focus on how they operated day-to-day and how you are expected to communicate with your various points of contact.  With Insperity, you have a dedicated team that you can call and with whom are familiar with your business.  Others rely on connecting with a  Call center or advising you on what you need to do to operate within their Portal and internal systems.  Insperity takes a more collaborative approach and assumes more direct responsibility.

**What problems is Insperity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

State Compliance.  For companies that have employees in multiple states, working through the PEO relationship enables you to focus on Core Business and leave all the Payroll , Tax, Workers Comp and Unemployment Insurance filing up to the PEO to provide.  

In addition, Insperity's Workforce Optimization offers tools for HR Management, Training, and expert resources to help guide companies that don't yet have the scale to hire internal experts.

We were sold on the outstanding service that Insperity provides and yet we have consistently had service request delays. HR processes which affect our payroll process have taken months to correct and our service and sales representatives are non-responsive.

I like how easy it is to see all the information you need at quick glance, like time clock, benefits, and trainings (which are very useful, especially if your business is new).

**What do you dislike about Insperity?**

It has a bit of a learning curve, but once you use it a couple of times, it'll become easy to navigate and to maximize it's potential uses for what you need. All in all, not really a complaint.

My HR team uses this for a lot of different tracking purposes, payroll,  and to have a good overview of everything employee related in one organized place. I personally use it as a supervisor, which helps me answer questions about benefits they currently have, offer training, and approve time off.

**What do you like best about Insperity?**

It fulfills the definition of a payroll and HR solution. The cost of benefits isn't bad either.

**What do you dislike about Insperity?**

We were clear from the start that we wanted and desperately needed to: post jobs, receive applications, and screen those applicants through to onboarding. It took 6 weeks to get a clear answer that those things ARE NOT included and would be thousands of dollars extra to set up and then monthly subscriptions.
We lost over a month waiting for an official response as our request was bounced from one "dedicated" support person to the next. All in, we have something like 15 support people for our account and each performs like 6% of our needs and none knows what the others are doing or have done. 
After passing on the $3k+ setup fee to track applicants we moved on to finding our applicants. However, screening them requires the use of 3 separate portals for some reason, and zero labels or cheatsheet provided to explain what is happening with them. You get a "report" that is titled a long number and doesn't actually tell you anything. An applicant typically clears in 3-5 business days despite selecting the most basic check possible. 
It's needlessly byzantine, has possibly the worst UX I've encountered in 25 years, and isn't cheap.

**Recommendations to others considering Insperity:**

If you have a working solution for advertising jobs and screening applicants then this isn't the worst choice you can make. Just know that it's going to be needlessly more complicated than it needs to be based on their Henry Ford approach to processes. Everyone knows their part of the assembly line but nothing about any of the others so you'll routinely get the "your princess is in another castle" response to questions.

Payroll solutions, HR solutions. That's about it. 
The benefits are we aren't doing it by hand.

Insperity really handles every aspect of HR for my company. They are always available if we have questions, and basically it takes away the need for a whole department.

**What do you dislike about Insperity?**

There are times that the chat is down, but it's normally a time when it wouldn't be used anyway, so it hasn't become an issue. There also needs to be more options for customization for the user homepage.

It makes payroll super easy and automated. Any important information can be found by employeees by checking the portal first. Reviews are stored easily on the portal as well.

Insperity was always great at keeping us in the know on all things compliance. We had no administrative issues with Insperity. Overall a good working experience!

**What do you dislike about Insperity?**

Exiting them as a PEO was very difficult. Had to follow up multiple times for different information. They would not allow us to view our employees' FSA/HSA balances when we needed them.

**Recommendations to others considering Insperity:**

I would recommend Insperity to a company that is overall looking for efficiency and ease of use. If you have a large number of employees, I would recommend exiting Insperity as a PEO before you get too large or the transition will be a nightmare.

The main problems we solved while with Insperity were staying in compliance and making things more efficient so we could focus on strategy since we are a start-up.

Problem solved is that Sr. Management gets to run the business.  Benefits are that everyone knows they are treated equally and we all have great benefits that are understood.

It's very easy to navigate this time tool, both for requested time off and hours logging (if required by an employer). This Insperity platform also includes links to things like a 401k/IRA portfolio if an employee participates in it as well as FSA/HSA accounts and other message board and document uploading platforms (such a proof of COVID vaccination).

**What do you dislike about Insperity?**

I know it's for security purposes, but two-factor authentication and/or security questions are required for every single time you use the platform or login, which can be time consuming if you just need to punch a time card or ask for PTO, etc.

It's a very complete platform!

It is easy to track employee time as well as to get all needed documents like a W2, or paycheck stub through this platform. Everything is in one place and easily accessible, including through the mobile app on your phone, both iOS and Android.

Their name is easy to spell.  That is literally the ONLY thing they have going for them.

**What do you dislike about Insperity?**

Everything.  Their website is a terrible, confusing morass of poorly designed pages, with no sensible flow centered around accomplishing a task.  Attempting to call them results in being put on hold forever.  If you do wait through the hour+ wait queue, the people who finally pick up are useless.

My employer must have reduced costs significantly to inflict this level of pain on their employees, but I can't speak to that.

I love that we can access all the employee needs like a time clock, benefits, and training.

The login procedure is a little annoying. Mainly if you are doing on-the-road work, I want greater integration with voice commands.

I like that the home page has everything you need to find. It shows timesheets, clock in and out, information about 401K, and benefits. It's very user-friendly, is easy to learn how to navigate, and is a great way to keep all your information in one place and easy to find.

I have not had a negative experience using this application. It is easy to use, and I don't have any issues with navigating.

**What do you like best about Insperity?**

Insperity is an awesome platform for all Human Resources. They have a wide variety of HR related functions they can perform for you by a click of a button. My company currently uses this platform as a PEO partner to provide payroll administration service along with human resources services. This is to include nationwide employment laws, benefits administration and anything else I can think of that will be needed in the human resources department. I'm able to relax knowing that anything I need, Insperity will provide.

**What do you dislike about Insperity?**

There really isn't anything I can particularly call out as a dislike. But if my company uses their timekeeping system, they don't have the capabilities of having it DCAA compliant which is mandatory for Department of Defense government contractors. Our company is made up of approximately 90% on site employees who work directly with government personnel. Our company is required to have a DCAA compliant timekeeping system in the event of an audit. Insperity's timekeeping system which is called Time Star is fairly similar to what my company currently uses; however, does not provide the audit trail needed tobe DCAA compliant. While it does have an audit trail, it is not able to show up in print together with the employee's timesheet.

**Recommendations to others considering Insperity:**

I would highly recommend Insperity to any company that is looking for a partner who will take care of all your payroll and human resources needs. You will not regret this partnership! Having Insperity will take a load off when it comes to human capital management. You can integrate Insperity with majority of the other platforms you may use. It is very user friendly and the Insperity team will not lead you astray. Insperity can definitely help manage your business.

**What problems is Insperity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Insperity is kind of pricey, but you get what you pay for. 
The benefits I have realized in using this platform is that I don't have to worry about keeping up with the always-ever-so-changing employment laws.
The Insperity Premiere portal is very user friendly and easy to manage. And if I or any of my employees have any issues, Insperity personnel is always easy to get a hold of. They are just an email or phone call away. My Insperity team has even been able to provide my team with personal cell phone numbers in case we are unable to get a hold of them at the office, which is amazing because most companies don't do that.

I have not engaged with a lot of time and schedule tracking software apart from a few and I tell you that TimeStar has been able to serve its purpose more than the rest. It does what it is supposed to do best that helping me get to know whether the people am supervising have carried out their respective tasks but also in the specified period of time and that is what Timestar is meant for. It is a good time tracker I should say.



**What do you dislike about Insperity?**

There are not so many flaws with this time tracking software but then just like it was for me to understand where to go to get certain options, it might be a little bit more difficult for some other new user. There are certain links that one has to use to get whatever they are searching for but this is a little more confusing especially if you are still new to the software. But it wouldn’t be that a bad software for organisations.

For any organisation or supervisors that are facing hard time trying to evaluate how their employees use their time and knowing whether they actually attend to work, i cannot recommend anyother software other than TimeStar. Try it and you will never regret.

Whatelse would a timetracking software do best other than helping one follow the trend of time and work of their employees. TimeStar hs helped me do that owing to the kind of supervision role i am in at the organisation i work in.

Nothing.  Truly nothing.  There are free programs that are better than this unnecessarily complex and rigid program. 

**What do you dislike about Insperity?**

I have been in HR for 15 years and have personally developed time tracking software.  I have used several different types - from sophisticated to free online time tracking.  We are using Timestar (coming from Kronos) because it was a part of the Insperity package and was sold to us as an easy to use product. Believe me when I say that it is the worst product and I genuinely don't know how they are in business.  The support is okay, in that they have a support group.  But the support group seems to be made up of a bunch of programmers that don't understand the end user.  Which is odd because you'd think that they need to track their own time.  I have been trying for 8 months to get this system to properly display information.  Forget about anything more complicated like predicting vacation balances for future time off requests.  This system doesn't even display the balance on a summary page as the balance.  For the Timestar programmers, "balance" means time accrued, adjustments made, time taken, future accrual.... and that is the "balance".  On a summary dashboard that the employee looks at?! The employee only wants to know "how much time is available to me"?  That's what BALANCE should represent.  And don't get me started on the detailed summary page - I had to send out a broad notice to all staff to tell them to entirely disregard that page because it was so confusing (AND INACCURATE).  How can it be inaccurate if you're simply plugging in numbers.  Time tracking isn't that complicated.  I have personally spent hundreds of hours trying to get this thing to work and 8 months later, it is still not correct.  It can't account for a "cap".  So if your policy has an accrual cap, it cannot properly handle that.  Truly the worst product I've ever seen.  And we're stuck with it because we bought into Insperity.

If you are used to processing and tracking time off and timesheets by paper, I suppose this would be a step up.  OTHERWISE I see no value and no benefits.  

Also - it is not fully integrated with Insperity Premier or other Insperity products like performSmart.  There is basic information (such as employee Supervisor) that you have to manually enter yourself.  Entirely inefficient.

**What do you like best about Insperity?**

Timestar makes it relatively easy to enter hours and classify workdays by type, and does all the necessary calculations for you. My organization deals with a huge array of working arrangements (lots of employees regularly work remotely for either portions of the week or at all times, and staff are very spread out geographically). The ability to track hours easily in a web-based client takes the headache out of the process, and I never have to worry about needing to be in a certain place to log my time. Granted, I am not a supervisor and do not need to use some of the more advanced services offered by Timestar. 

**What do you dislike about Insperity?**

The one time I had an issue that my supervisor was not able to address, TimeStar customer support was essentially impossible to get in touch with. Judging by others' reviews and the input of my colleagues, this was far from an isolated incident with TimeStar/other Insperity products. Answers customer questions and concerns needs to be a priority, especially with something that is literally time sensitive and can have potentially huge impacts on people's paychecks and benefits. 

Additionally, the interface for TimeStar seems sort of cluttered and unnecessarily complicated at first glance, and takes a certain amount of playing around to understand its quirks and capabilities. 

**Recommendations to others considering Insperity:**

Honestly, TimeStar gets the job done, but if you can avoid it and go with a company that prioritizes better customer support and reliability, I would do it. There are potentially huge consequences to mistakes on their part, and it is well-worth the peace of mind to know that there will not be any catastrophes with your time tracking service (and if there is, for whatever reason, you will be able to reach someone who can help promptly).

**What problems is Insperity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As mentioned, a large part of my company is typically remote or working from other parts of the country, so we are always looking for efficient and effective solutions to make typical office processes go smoothly when we're not all together in person. TimeStar solves the problem of logging and communicating about hours between coworkers and supervisors, though it could definitely be a simpler service.

The request approval process can be cumbersome when the first line approver is out.  I wish the software allowed anyone up the line to approve requests.

Our payroll team used to spend 4-8 hours per week entering paid leave requests.  We have easily gained a whole day a week just by having employees check their own balances and enter their own paid leave requests.

I like how you can access the Market place from the Home page as well as checking your most recent pay stub and 401k amount.

Not really user friendly when it comes to your Time Management Services. I have to enter my time in manually and at first it was hard to remember all the steps it takes to get to your timesheet. Also, checking your PTO balance. There are multiple steps on how to view. Every single co worker had no clue how to check your PTO balance without checking a step by step Manuel guide.

I like the way I am able to streamline over 100 pages of org charts for our organization for a 500+ person organization. I can add subgroups and shift cells whenever I need to expand a chart.

Wish there was a better training module to teach you all the things you can do with this software. Its sometimes hard to navigate your way through the software unless you have some sort of experience using it.
