1. One of the standout features in the UI/UX is the screenshots module. Screenshots are easy to manage and review, which significantly helps in verifying the legitimacy of user activity—even when applications or websites are categorized as productive. This adds an extra layer of assurance in monitoring daily operations.

2. Another UI/UX feature I appreciate is the Productivity Module in the settings. This allows me to closely review application usage during operations and ensure that only authorized and allowed applications are being used within our environment. Integration

1. The integration of Insightful with our internal systems is another major advantage. It enables our timekeeper to easily extract and validate Work-From-Home (WFH) schedules without manual intervention. This seamless integration improves accuracy and reduces administrative effort.

1. In terms of performance, the application runs reliably during daily use. Data such as activity logs and screenshots load consistently, supporting smooth reviews without disruption.

Support

Dislikes / Areas for Improvement

Based on my previous experience, the main concerns are related to certain limitations of the software.

1. Data Retrieval Across Managers

The system is unable to properly retrieve or consolidate historical data when staff are reassigned to different managers. This makes it challenging to track continuity of records and review past activity accurately once organizational changes occur.

2. Manual Time Filing Limitations

Filing manual time is challenging from a staff perspective. It is difficult to accurately track the exact time when manual time entries occurred, and there is no option to overwrite or adjust break time when necessary.

As an improvement, I suggest allowing staff to directly click on the activity or idle-time bars where the gap occurred. This would make manual time filing more intuitive and provide a smoother, more user-friendly experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use Insightful for time tracking on Project Vega, and I find that it makes my time tracking really easy. I like the user interface; it's really easy to use. The support is quite great, and they helped me quickly when I had issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I find it doesn't work on Wayland display server for Ubuntu interface. I have to use Xorq display server because the display server doesn't work yet for Wayland. It would be great if it worked with Ubuntu. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The updates. One has to be mindful of settings on the computer one uses, because there's an annoying prompt that pops up tirelessly interrupting your workflow, if this app isn't updated and you are in the middle of use. I like that Insightful is very simple and makes managing time straightforward. I don't have to figure out how to track time; I just click one button, select the project, and it's done.
