What do you like best about Insightful?

I like that Insightful allows me to see in real time how much time I'm taking and my earnings both cumulatively and at a given period. It's particularly helpful for tracking what's required by my employer, Mercor. What do you like best about Insightful?

I use Insightful for time tracking for project work and appreciate its ease and ability to keep track of tasks. I find it to be user-friendly and the dashboard has a visibly good layout. Time tracking is an essential part of my project work, and I like that it's easy to use and monitors sites to easily identify productive work. The initial setup was easy too. What do you dislike about Insightful?

What do you like best about Insightful?

I’ve been using Insight with my team, and it truly feels like a breath of fresh air compared to other monitoring tools I’ve tried. It seems thoughtfully designed for the way people actually work today, rather than just tracking clicks.

One of the biggest advantages for us is the pricing model: they charge per person, not per device. Since my team frequently switches between office desktops, laptops, and Cloud PCs, this approach saves us a significant amount of money and hassle compared to tools that require a license for every installation.

I also appreciate the smart customization options. While Insight automatically categorizes activities, I have the flexibility to adjust what is considered "productive." For example, we use certain apps that the AI initially flagged as distractions, but I was able to easily reclassify them as "work" for my team.

The support has been excellent as well. The onboarding process was smoother than I expected, and both the billing and support teams were genuinely helpful and responsive as we got everything set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Insightful?

Manual Installation: I was unable to deploy the agent using a script, which made the initial setup more time-consuming than necessary. It's possible that this feature is available in another plan, but I couldn't access it.

No "Stealth" Mode: The installation cannot be hidden from standard users. The agent remains visible, albeit under a different name, so if you require fully silent monitoring, this solution may not meet your needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Insightful?

I like Insightful for its accuracy and ease of usage. The integrated tools are wonderful and help by showing performance windows, screen mirroring, and other metrics like timekeeping that highlight time away from the desk. I also appreciate that the customer service team has been very hands-on throughout the whole process, helping us learn and better understand the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Insightful?

I would love for it to integrate with ADP, our payroll system to show PTO. Initially onboarding went well, then it crashed our system and we had to uninstall for a period of time. Tracking agents, breaks, and activity in one place tends to make coordination a lot easier, especially with remote teams. The flexibility around features like breaks and screenshots is something many teams end up relying on once things are set up the right way.

About the idle time... most commonly that's dependent on how the settings are configured in Insightful rather than a fault. For example, meetings or certain types of activity can be adjusted so they’re not counted the way you’re seeing now. Thank you for sharing this. Accuracy plus ease is not always easy to nail at the same time, so really glad it's clicking for your training work.

The visibility setting in Insightful is actually configurable. The platform can run quietly in the background (helpful when you want to focus without distraction), but quiet doesn't mean it's operating without controls. Data and privacy protection sit at the centre of how it's built.
