  ### 1. Not a bad product but your mileage may vary depending on the environment

**What do you like best about Insightful?**

It is relatively easy to use.  I am not sure that the calculation of the productive time is overly precise, but we are not overly focused on that part.  We are keeping an eye on the idle time and certain applications and it did a good job there.  Product was not hard to implement.

**What do you dislike about Insightful?**

The way users are calculated is extremely advantageous to the vendor.  They pick up built-in/system accounts and charge for those without any way to control the cost or limit the system account monitoring.  Integration with Azure is not well done, so the Admin is left to manually control the users who should or should not be in the system.  This model becomes completely unmanageable even in a medium-sized organization.  Support was not helpful regarding this.  Also - Support/Billing is handled using chat only. This can get pretty frustrating.

Insightful is helping us identify idle employees or employees that are not spending their time in a most productive way

**What do you like best about Insightful?**

The snapshot feature is wonderful. We have a particular employee who has to be monitored as a certain conditional agreement and receiving a screenshot every 2 minutes, that shows both monitors, with the exact program/feature/website that they are using, with an easily, instantaneous button to download the screenshot is EXACTLY what we needed.

**What do you dislike about Insightful?**

I have actually not run into anything I particularly disliked, but I do think the ability to customize or change certain features as snap-ins may be useful, even if it was something that could be added or snapped in with a sliding scale price based on features used. Thus far, no real issues.

**What problems is Insightful solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have an employee who has a parole condition to have all of their PC useage monitored. As the systems administrator, I can't and don't want to have to sit and watch the employee. Having all screenshots saved together in a single tab with small image previews showing both monitors as well as a title showing the app or website being used is awesome.

One minor drawback worth mentioning is its limitation in displaying only screenshots instead of video images. The onboarding and customer service of Insightful are top-notch. They did hands-on support during onboarding and we still have regular check-ins with customer service to ensure that we are maximizing the tool.

I love that I get a daily report of what my employees productivity is for the day, especially since I know that folks working remote are staying on task. It allows me to manage without them being within 10 feet of me. Which is great for customer service!

**What do you like best about Insightful?**

What I like about using Workpuls are the options and navigations in the dashboard, where you can easily track your team's productivity in real-time and at the end of the day. I also like the manual addition of working hours and app and websites filter (productive and non-productive).

**What do you dislike about Insightful?**

There are still bugs (duplicated timesheets, etc.), which is understandable as they update based on their clients' reviews. What I don't like about the manual insertion of the clock in and out is that you cannot tag the productivity as 100 percent. You cannot manually adjust the production hours and the idle time per line.

**Recommendations to others considering Insightful:**

Well, if you want to use a reliable and very easy-to-use time tracking application, you may try using Workpuls.

**What problems is Insightful solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were now able to track how each one of our employees is doing using the real-time tracking option where you can also capture screenshots and check what certain employees are doing. This helps us a lot to check and evaluate every employee's performance per app and project.

In the team we use the app daily. I love the ability to check how the time is spent during the day by each collaborator. The board is clear and information easy to understand. The customer support is responsive

Not so easy to check time per project spent by the whole team. There is no option to have free timer for the admin too, as lead dev I would like to have my time added there without paying one more licence

The Software gives you complete information about the employees working remotely, whether online or offline, which helps the company track the timesheet and the necessary actions for all the required employees.

Sometimes we face a problem with the agent installation, which does not show online on the portal even after installing the required file on the employee's machines.

Great interface. It's very user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing. It also calculates some of the most relevant metrics for productivity. The fact that it works for more than one project is great too.

I don't like the fact that it doesn't run in a specific time zone. If I move to a different time zone, it will use the time on the computer to clock in. That's a little confusing as it appears that you've clocked in later or earlier when you're on time.

Excessive Idle Time and use of non-productive apps and programs. Since I'm tracking the time I'm not active on my computer, it's easier to be aware of the time I'm working. I can also see the time I spend in each app and program, which helps me get a sense of how I'm using my time.

Simplicity of the interface and ease of tracking users. This immensely helps to track users and kill non productive work.

**What do you like best about Insightful?**

Though the tool is robust, we use Insightful as a tool to provide a quick look at the amount of productivity time for team members.  As an admin, you can customize what you deem as productive, what is not productive, and what is neutral.  We understand that there are tasks that are not going to be all on the computer, such as having a phone conversation.  The ability for the employee to add manual time for supervisor approval is extemely helpful for those scenarios.  Remote/Hybrid work brings some extra work to the supervisors to provide accountability to the employees.  However, Inightful makes that  extra work relatively minimal.  The tool has fit us well, and is reasonably priced.

**What do you dislike about Insightful?**

There is not a lot to dislike about Inightful.  They have thought about many things.  Two things that I believe could improve the Insightful use and experience would be:

 1) The client/agent that is installed on the employees' computer to change color or have some type of indication that it is working.  We have had a few instances where the agent has not been recording productivity, and the user does not realize it until much later.  If the agent changed color to show that it was working, that would be helpful.

2) It would be helpful for the employee to see what is labeled as productive and what is not, or at what times they were not productive.  To have a timeline that allows the employee to see when they are 'non-productive or neutral,' much like the active timeline view, would help.  If this feature is rolled out, the admins should be able to turn that visibility on or off per organization and/or team.

**What problems is Insightful solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our organization was hesitant to have remote/hybrid workers as we did not have any policies around those things. Having Inisghtful installed on employees' PCs so that we had actual productivity data helped the conversation move forward without much change in how we typically accomplish work.

I am using this software to control if my employees do what I pay them to do. Reports are very useful, you see what apps they use, what sites they open and for how much time. Screenshot feature is also cool. The software itself can be 'hidden' so your employee doesn't know about monitoring.

Finding details about visited sites and time spent is not easy but I finally managed :-).

That is very accurate and gives us accessible information to understand how productivity happens  as well as being able to calculate payroll and overtime in a very easy way

**What do you dislike about Insightful?**

Sometimes insightful has a lot of bugs or maintenance that affect real-time to the users; thank God the data is retrievable and it updates in real time, so we do not lose information

Provides great insights into the software being used by the team as well as provides screenshots of their activity to help us troubleshoot productivity issues.  The reports are nice to roll up productivity by groups as well. Provides the same info to the user so that they can see their own productivity metrics, which is very helpful and make users feel a bit more open to the tracking.

**What do you dislike about Insightful?**

Have had some issues with getting time on software like Zoom to record correctly.  Haven't found a way to confirm that tracking is right when users say their work is not correctly tracked.

Insightful is giving us insight into where employees are spending time allowing us to optimize the work and workflows based on this information.

None, the insightful app is most likely a perfect application for those working at home and perfectly partner on the supervisor to monitor our staff member.

I have a problem to tracking my people during the start of pandemic and I dont know what are they doing. On the screenshot I monitored all apps there using and all site their visiting if still part of thier job.

It's very easy to use. Once you install it on your computer, it's not hard to understand how it works. You clock in and clock out. And the dashboard is also very well done, all the information is easy to understand.

Its limitations. The app is literally just to keep track of time and productivity. It would be nice to be able to do more with it, e.g. payroll through Insightful. That would be amazing, actually!

It allows us to keep track of the time and productivity of our employees. We don't need to micromanage them because Insightful gives us the information that we need to feel confident that our employees are doing their jobs. The screenshots and tracked data are very useful!

**What do you like best about Insightful?**

Not only is their UX excellent, but they provide several neat and uniquely encompassed features: A clever way to display "Real-time Insights" that allows getting an overall glimpse without the constant oversight of screenshots, a nicely packaged timeline of activities showing the top 3 apps and idle time, and the best feature for us: a visible tracking mode that allows greater transparency for employees to see their usage of time in the same way their managers see. Also, I do like that their business model charges per employee and not per device. We have tested and compared them with other apps such as Teramind, Hubstaff and fSense. After a brief testing period, it became clear that Insightful was the best choice.

**What do you dislike about Insightful?**

I wouldn't say that we have items that we disliked, but some things would be very welcomed, such as having more integrations (like Hubstaff and ClickUp, which allowed us to import Workspaces and Lists to track time against them - though that was not our primary use case). Also, we do not love to pay in USD due to tax and exchange rates, but that's okay since most apps do not charge in BRL.

**What problems is Insightful solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Insightful deliver on its central promise: Workforce analytics for modern companies! We're trying to better grasp productivity in this current era of companies going hybrid or even fully remote, and they provide an easy-to-setup app that achieves just that!

Being able to see how productive my remote employee is being. Also, being able to track idle time is very helpful as they are remote and I can not see what all they are doing.

Figuring out how to label/classify websites and apps is not easy. Your sales teams hours are atrocious. I tried calling everyday for a week until I gave up and contacted the customer support through the chat.

It is helping with being able to monitor my remote employee without being controlling or having too much oversight over their actions and search history. Seeing their idle time helps a lot as well.

**What do you like best about Insightful?**

I believe Insightful fulfills its functions by monitoring employees, while at the same time, setting boundaries necessary to respect employee privacy. I like that it has a smooth interface, and partly intuitive, not too many buttons to go crazy learning how to use it, you can learn little by little. The support offered by the platform is also very helpful and they respond in reasonable times.

**What do you dislike about Insightful?**

I wish you could mix the options for personal and enterprise devices, I think the configuration should be a bit more accessible, as it is the only thing that takes time to learn what each option does. But it's not something that can't be fixed by using the software a bit.

**What problems is Insightful solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were unable to get software that could take information from the websites used by our employees, as we found it more valuable than screenshots to respect employee privacy. Insightful was the solution to this problem, as we can have both with limits that satisfy us as managers and satisfy our staff.

The Insightful software is easy to use and navigate. An administrator can look across the entire organization and identify individuals who are not performing and validate the top performers.

**What do you dislike about Insightful?**

We have found that if Macbook Operating system updates are pending, it will stop the Insightful program from giving data. We have seen across an organization of 300 people that 20-30 of the machines stop reporting back into insightful due to this issue. As soon as we update or patch the OS and reboot the system, the insightful program will start running again.

**What problems is Insightful solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The insightful program is helping us identify users across the United States who are not performing at their jobs. We have many remote employees, and the program shows us those employees who are not doing their jobs or who need to be trained better for working remotely.

Productivity Labeling feature done team wise. This helps in tagging what is productive for whom. We have scenarios where social media sites are productive for digital department but unproductive for developers.

We gain a real insight into how are staff are best able to use their time and how they can get the most out of the softwares we provide for them. The software offers a web based solution easy to implement from small to the larger enterprises. Flexible from Workpuls is available from the support teams to incorporate suggestions and selected improvements without bloating a requirement for further data crunching. Graphical representations quickly allow an immediate focus to trends and situations needing attention.

It is difficult sometimes to convince all collaborators about the benefits both users and managers can gain from the information at everyones finger tips. Thankfully there are really useful information and extensive papers available to steer away from the negatives. Onboarding staff carefully they too soon realise the opportunities for self improvement.

The increasing use of subscription software and how extensive the software is being used is now even more important for control of business costs. With Workpuls we have been able to understand better how our staff use the software tools we provide for them. I love the design of the app. Previously we were using the Hubstaff and it was quite old. I like the productivity feature, but it needs some time to gather all the websites and mark them over the next few months to receive accurate data.

**What do you dislike about Insightful?**

I would love to have invite for new people by link, it would automate our on-boarding process for new people. It would be also great to have tasks a little bit more advanced, there are a lot of features that are misssing. We are using Asana, so it's more convenient to track tasks there.

We had a few freelancers working for us, we are paying them for working hours and it's super simple with the Insightful. Reporting for the teams takes less time now and we can scale faster!
