  ### 2. Security+ Boot Camp

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

The instructor was a good presenter and knew the material very well. He cared about whether we would pass the test and answered questions and discussed the material to make sure that we understood what was being presented.

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

Online was not as personal as in-person, but it was still a quality course.

**What problems is Infosec Skills solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Computer Security is ever changing and Infosec helps you keep your skills updated and keep your certifications current.

  ### 3. Helped me pass my certification exam

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Utilities | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

The boot camp walked through all the material that was on the certification exam. The instructor took his time with the content and provided a lot of relevant examples that were easy to understand.

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

The boot camp was 5 days long and lasted from 8am until 5pm. Those were long days, but worth it. Breaks were sufficient to regroup and clear my head from all the information that was provided.

**What problems is Infosec Skills solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The boot camp was the key to me passing the certification exam. Without it, I don't think I would have passed. The sample questions provided were crucial in passing the exam. I still use some of the information I learned to pass the exam in my daily work.

  ### 4. Good content and labs that don't get stuck

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos Eduardo d. | Analista de Tecnologia da Informação, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

The quality of the content is the best thing on Infosec Institute. I'm not a native english speaker, and yet, I could comprehend the instructors.
The second point I liked most was the labs, that make you revisit the theory and work fairly well: you probrably won't find yourself stuck because some part of the lab don't load correctly or because the instructions are not clear enough.

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

All the content I saw until is now is exclusively video, except for some PDFs with the slides presented. I miss learn by reading.

**What problems is Infosec Skills solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since june 2020 I work on cyber security area, something new to me. With Infosec Skills I'm managing to learn what my job demands

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

The courses and practices labs are really useful. The lessons well explain in a such technical language, that even a beginner would understand and adapt easily. The teachers show knowledge and experiences on the topics, which makes it interesting. Besides, the way the lessons are presented in the deck slides and the well build labs, it is really awesome and I enjoy that, I like that.

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

Sometimes, the labs take too long to build and load and also some topics require more labs practices, however some labs are too short to fully cover the topics and lessons. Other think I might dislike is the lack of labs guide for practices.

**Recommendations to others considering Infosec Skills:**

InfoSec is a great place to get educated in cybersecurity field, it is easy to use and very useful. The courses are complete and at least fulfill the requirement to get prepared for the industry. I really recommend InfoSec Skills to anyone with the goal to be a good cybersecurity folk. If you want to get over yourself and have required skills, InfoSec is your tool. **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darren R. | Cyber Security Design Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

My class was help in a conference room at a hotel, the hotel's WiFi was less than acceptable. The prof used his smart phone and a WiFi hotspot for the class; obviously this was not the best solution and took the class longer to complete the testing, but given the circumstances, it was outstanding for the instructor to provide this service, in my opinion he went above an beyond.

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

I don't see a downside to using Infosec.

**What problems is Infosec Skills solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My entire career is based on CyberSecurity and design, I use my skill sets on a daily basis.

**Reviewed by:** Shelby R. | Assistant Editor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

I like that lessons are broken down into modules that you can come back to, so you can go back to certain lesson plans, or skip ahead if there's something more pressing you want to learn.

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

I dislike sometimes there's a lack of explanation when moving through steps, I'd like a little more clarity. I'd also like to be able to save as I go, so I can go back just one step, instead of having to resubmit the entire section.

**What problems is Infosec Skills solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped me to solve problems I had with my lesson plans, where I was unable to understand how to walk through a module without actually working it out. The benefits of using a program like Infosec Skills helped me to work through projects in real-time, rather than having to hypothetically imagine it.

Long hours. I know it is bootcamp and I guess I should have known. I wouldn’t change this as it was crucial but know their are long hours when you go and is part of their success.

It is worth the cost to go through the training. Everyone is leary of the cost of these but they give you the skills you will need to succeed and is well worth the cost.

  ### 17. I've found a great place to sharpen my infosec skills.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert S. | Cyber Security Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

I love that I can choose a learning path and just take it as far as it will go. That it includes a lab for hands on immersion makes this on of the best, most affordable learning tools I've found. I've spent thousands on other courses and Infosec Skills competes with the best of them in terms of content, but it blows them away in terms of value.

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

I have not attempted enough courses to know what i dislike. So far there is nothing.to dislike. There is a treasure trove of information and skills training available here and I just want to learn it all.

**What problems is Infosec Skills solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In the past i have tried to learn cyber security material from a book. Thats is well and good for introductory material but as you progress up the ladder of cyber fields and through the branches of the security field, you NEED hands on application. Infosec Skills gives you the hands on lab training that is critical in understanding the material.

  ### 19. InfoSec Skills is an all-in-one package for skilling up!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mars G. | Cyber Security Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

I use InfoSec Skills as a complementary to my formal Cybersecurity education, because it has practically everything you want to learn—and I like to be extra with my learning. ;) InfoSec Skills covers a wide range of topics varying from threat modeling, penetration testing, OWASP, cryptography, networking, secure coding with Python and C++, Linux, network traffic analysis, to computer forensics—and hundreds more—you name it.

Not only will you learn skills, but it also provides assessments, PROJECTS for hands-on experience, and learning paths to study for exams such as the CompTIA Security+ or ISC2 CISSP, just to name a couple. There are also videos to watch if you’re a visual learner! :) It’s definitely a vault of Cybersecurity knowledge. If you can’t afford to drop $10,000+ for a bootcamp program, I’d definitely sign up for InfoSec Skills to “skill up” on a deep discount! It’s a spectacular bang-for-the-buck! That’s the best part about InfoSec Skills that gives it an advantage. :)

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

I can’t really think of anything I truly dislike about InfoSec Skills. There is so much information to learn from it that it’s difficult to get bored! Perhaps, adding more video content would be nice! :)

**What problems is Infosec Skills solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use InfoSec Skills when I want to brush up or go deeper on certain topics I learn in class since I’m in a fast track program. It benefits my learning as a Cybersecurity student and helps me become more prepared for the exams and workforce!

  ### 20. Easy and accessible

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric E. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

I like the ease and presentation of the dashboard. Its layout and progress meters are easy to read. The course catalog has many relevant offerings that I can choose from. I have many certifications that need updating and other skils that I need to acquire.

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

I haven't experienced anything that I didn't like so far. The video sometimes are muted or not the best of quality. I would like the courses to line up better with the certification being sought. There could be more interaction maybe with links to the practice sessions imbedded into the presentation.

**What problems is Infosec Skills solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am learning new and valuable skills in network and security that will help my daily job performance. The cyber security offerings are valuable to me to have when dealing with an organization of our size. I am able to use these new skills to evaluate and produce KPI and other policies that govern our organizaton.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jen C. | Project Leader, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

The most helpful feature I found within the site is the "Learning Paths" section. If you're struggling to figure out what skill you need to study next, Learning Paths will guide you through this process. An upside to the site are the online, interactive labs that will provide real-world scenarios. Not too many sites provide the real-world scenarios that prepares you for possible on-the-job problems that may arise.

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

It was very easy to use and navigate, so I was unable to see any downside or least helpful feature.

**What problems is Infosec Skills solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm in the middle of changing careers to Cybersecurity, so I'm able to fill in the many gaps that I have with Infosec Skills. After taking a few of the classes, I'm realizing how quickly I'm learning the material. Thankfully, there's so much material, I won't go through it all any time soon.

  ### 27. Infosec Skills is an invaluable tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Military | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

Infosec Skills offers comprehensive training in every subject pertaining to cybersecurity, IT, etc. The amount of resources offered on the site are impressive and it's an easy way to keep current and knowledgeable on the ever-changing landscape within the field. It's also a great platform to learn, learn, and learn, something you constantly have to do to be relevant in the job market. The membership fee is truly nominal for what you have access to. I often search through the platform to get a clearer understanding of various topics I'm still trying to learn as a newbie in the field.

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

I can't think of anything I don't dislike. The training is clear, and the instructors all have real world experience.

**What problems is Infosec Skills solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helped me to understand areas I'm unfamiliar with. Sometimes you just need a subject presented to you in a different way in order to understand, and InfoSec Skills helps with the video trainings, reading material, simulated labs, and practice exams.

  ### 28. Incredible and comprehensive three-day boot camp

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hansal B. | IAM Systems Engineer , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

The InfoSec bootcamp provides 3 full days of live instruction with an expert instructor and there are a trove of materials to enhance the learning experience like:
» Infosec proprietary digital courseware
» 90-day access to replays of daily lessons
» 90-day access to hosted labs

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

The course material is available only for a short time and after the period ends, the access to the material is gone. We can't download the slides presented either. It would have been a good resource to review for future reference.

**What problems is Infosec Skills solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an IAM Engineer working for a major Bank, I have to be skilled in defending the organization against cyber attacks. InfoSec's course helped me learn how poor security practices leave applications open to attack and how to implement the necessary tools, techniques and best practices to write code in a secure manner.

  ### 30. Good Security Material

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tanner B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

Focus on security training means that it has a lot of material. Other Training sites often have large libraries but may have a small selection of Dedicated security material

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

I feel like the organization of the materials could be a little better. I had to search a bit to find the specific topics I wanted

**Recommendations to others considering Infosec Skills:**

If the skills you need are in the infosec area, then this is a great platform to get training on. If you need a wider variety of available training then try it out but be aware that it might not have all the categories you want.

**What problems is Infosec Skills solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed to work on developing myself for my CySA+ certification and secure use of API's. It helped alot with the CySA+ but I didn't get as much info as I would have liked on APIs. (could have been poor organization though).

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

I loved how they taught the class. They used an approach like a hacker would and taught how they use tools to target your company and all the steps they may take to finally capture your computers or servers for their own use. It was actually super cool.

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

It was a little scary seeing what actual hackers can do. I never realized how vulnerable we are to attacks every day and it was not comforting.

**What problems is Infosec Skills solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was able to go home after the training and use what I learned. Now I can recognize security risks and understand when security scans show problems and why we should fix them.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zeeshan M. | AM, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

All under one roof like tests, learning videos & assessments of almost all technologies
Some key features which I like most

Also added Blockchain, Cloud, Machine Learning Learning Path
Some Vendor based training like
Cisco
CompTIA, AWS, Microsoft

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

Slightly UI (user interface ) is not very likable. still, it is good to use.
Also, pricing is generic, It should also be available for a track basis like someone who is interested in cloud can take only pay for it.
Need to add some One on One Session for mentoring or Questions & Answer session.

No need to go anywhere, just sit at home and learn to earn, Infosec is the right choice.

  ### 41. RHCSA

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

The instructor. He was one of the best I've experienced in online coursework.

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

The course/certification textbook. Though I thoroughly appreciate it having been included as part of the package, I feel it was a somewhat flawed edition rushed-out to get ahead of the transition to RHEL8. But this more of a dislike of the author/publisher than of the Infosec Boot Camp itself.

**What problems is Infosec Skills solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have a better understanding of the architecture and function of the RHEL platform my institution's database sits on.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Albert J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

The training for PMP at Infosec was quite good. They hold you to getting the prework done, and the pace through the material is fast enough to hold attention and slow enough to not be 'word salad' so that you actually learn what you need to know.

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

Nothing really to dislike, just be advised that the Infosec training is substantial and they will make you work. When you are done, though, you're ready for what's next.

**Recommendations to others considering Infosec Skills:**

I recommend the boot camps. They will work you pretty hard but it is worth the time and $$$$.

**What problems is Infosec Skills solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm an experienced project manager, and I needed the Infosec PMP boot camp to review and practice so that (a) I would pass the exam (b) I would identify any areas, where I'd need to study more to ensure a strong and even foundational baseline of competency. Point is that the boot camp helped me beyond just prepping for the exam.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Salaudeen A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2020

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

The networking labs have being very helpful. I understood the commands required to ping a workstation in the virtual labs without a fuss. The instructions and little info about the function of implementing a cmd is good for even a beginner.

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

I think having a schedule that a user can set on a digital calendar will be a good idea. For instance I set 3 times in a week between 11.30 am and 12.30 pm for Mons Thursdays and Saturdays. This will then be sent as a digital reminder via email.

I think having a course path(optional) will be helpful, this can be based on certain parameters entered in the beginning. This will help one to stay focused on a course before jumping to another one.

**What problems is Infosec Skills solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am currently searching for a job. So I can say the knowledge gained has being beneficial in the area of my podcasts titled "Cybersmart Security". I made used of the knowledge gained in the basic skills and CyberAwareness training course to educate why there is need to protect themselves from the bad guys as individual, business or a country.
