Compared to other solutions out in the market, it is comparatively costlier than them, and even it's not that straightforward to use, so you'll have to spend some time learning it. What problems is Informatica Persistent Data Masking solving and how is that benefiting you?

I was working on a Dashboarding report with one of our vendors in which we had a lot of sensitive data which was supposed to be sent around for testing and production environments. "Confusing product but works well"

They solve any issues we previously had with Delphix. The tool does everything but can have some bugs in the system that cause issues. Great tool for our BI team, they have been enjoying the product making their lives easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It can be complicated at times and the main issue I have with the product is customer support. Whenever you have issues customer support takes a while to get back and respond and you waste a lot of time during work hours waiting for the issue to be resolved. Informatica for me is the standard and the UI and options are vast and far better than those who are its competitors. Put that with a huge library of integration points to connect to data and the security put in place to perform encryption and masking tasks is 2nd to none. I don't feel like they have native blob storage integration and for very large data sets this can become an issue as it pertains to an SLA for competing jobs or completing routines. I've noticed a time to complete issue, not a bad issue but the larger jobs do take some time to complete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We use Persistent Data Masking in our legacy on-prem environment for data that is production capable and that will eventually need to sync with cloud resources as well. For this it's very important to have a stable and known platform to execute on for wrangle, load, and process routines. Persistent data masking is our go to for all our on-prem jobs.
