I am impressed by Informatica's product integration (e.g. PC 'talks' to PWX and IDQ etc) as well as the robust OOTB content for cleansing rules, reference data and industry specific validation rules. The biggest downside to IDQ is the relative cost to other tools. As a consultant, I find that many clients just cannot justify the Informatica price tag $$ and often chose an open source solution. The correction of equations and methods have worked out pretty well with IDQ when it comes to manual data entry, as it has allowed us to have a proper interpretation of the results. It is really helpful when you want to blend with current ETL mapping regulations and also provide added value by some quality control statements. Also, it allows you to look at the data in real-time, as the data quality algorithm tests and performs the specific rules after building the job by developing a Navigation window to instantly update and access the data. I really do not have any dislikes. I feel like with time this application will make improvements as they see fit.
