What do you like best about InfluxDB?

InfluxDB allows us to store large quantities of data in real-time that originate from our telemetry systems. Additionally, its simplicity and speed in performing backups using the provided tools ensure robust data security without additional complications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InfluxDB?

What I dislike about InfluxDB is the limited support and updates for older versions like 1.8, which are still widely used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about InfluxDB?

InfluxDB stands out as a robust solution for time-series data management, providing a powerful and scalable foundation. Its emphasis on simplicity, integration capabilities, and monitoring features makes it well-suited for a variety of applications. While considerations exist, particularly for new users and in certain scenarios, the overall strengths of InfluxDB position it as a reliable choice in the landscape of time-series databases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InfluxDB?

Learning Curve for New Users:

While InfluxDB offers powerful capabilities, new users might encounter a learning curve, especially when mastering the specifics of InfluxQL and navigating the intricacies of the platform.

Clarity in Documentation:

The documentation, although comprehensive, could benefit from enhanced clarity in certain sections. Improvements in this area would contribute to a more user-friendly onboarding process.

Complexity in High-Cardinality Scenarios:

In scenarios with high cardinality, complexities may arise, necessitating careful consideration and optimization to ensure optimal performance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about InfluxDB?

The database can handle high amounts of data with ease and the built-in clustering functionality ensures that the system remains highly available, even when dealing with large datasets. The real-time performance of InfluxDB is impressive, with fast query execution times and low latency. This makes it ideal for use in applications that require real-time data analysis, such as monitoring and tracking systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InfluxDB?

InfluxDB has limited support for complex data relationships. While it is possible to store related data in the same database, it can be difficult to manage these relationships effectively, especially when dealing with large amounts of data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about InfluxDB?

It is highly scalable, efficient and easy to use, making it an ideal choice for businesses of all sizes. Its ability to handle large volumes of data in real-time ensures that businesses can make quick and accurate decisions based on the most up-to-date information available Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InfluxDB?

nfluxDB may not be the best choice for managing data that is not time-series based. The query language used in InfluxDB may take some time to learn for those who are not familiar with it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about InfluxDB?

I like that InfluxDB is an open-source, time-series database that makes storing and analyzing time-series data easy. It is also speedy and efficient, allowing for quick analysis and insights. InfluxDB is highly scalable, allowing for vast amounts of data to be stored and accessed. Finally, Flux's built-in query language makes it easy to write complex queries and gain insights from the data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InfluxDB?

Difficult to mention, but I would improve data retention policies and price: InfluxDB should provide more flexible data retention policies to support long-term data storage at low cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about InfluxDB?

The best features that I like about it are the webhook and http services it offers as endpoints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InfluxDB?

I used to dislike how different components in TICK stack had different interfaces but with influxdb2 problem seems to be resolved now. Just looking for a better UI now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about InfluxDB?

I like the ease of setup. The large number of tutorials and knowledge articles make setting up an instance relatively easy. It was my first time venturing with InfluxDB, and in a couple of hours, I had an instance running and integrated with my IoT project without much trouble. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InfluxDB?

The dashboards, although useful, are somewhat restrictive in how they can be shared. The typical scenario that I have is to be able to share a live dashboard outside my organisation, be that an auto-updated static image or a "limited functionality" dashboard. What do you like best about InfluxDB?

Easiness to use (query, filter, and process) is one of the key points. The built-in data explorer, dashboard building capabilities, and alerts mechanisms make it a one-stop solution to provide meaningful information from large amounts of data at an high velocity. The built-in REST API also makes wonders to quickly integrate with other solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InfluxDB?

The need to learn a specific query language can be considered a downside. The lack of SQL-like query mechanism also makes it harder to adopt by teams that are used to SQL technologies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about InfluxDB?

It's a quick "time to awesome" solution, as they say. The short learning curve and intuitive usage make it the perfect choice for newbies and experts. In terms of writing/reading rate, it outperforms the competitors, as documented in many papers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InfluxDB?

Influx is rapidly growing. The simplicity of version v1.0 was impressive. Influx v2.0 added many features, and InfluxDB Cloud changed the paradigm: this may have made old applications outdated quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about InfluxDB?

Everything works as promised. Documentation is good and structured, support is even better with fast response time (minutes). New functionality grows fast and most new solutions are released before you thought you needed them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InfluxDB?

Almost none. As with many 'new' things, Flux has a steap learning curve, but once you master is, it is very powerful. And SQL queries are on its way, so problem solved for those who don't need the power of Flux. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
