## iMIS Reviews
  ### 1. Decade-long user, now consultant, love this product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael R. | iMIS Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2022

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

As a user and now consultant for over 12 years, I have seen iMIS transform multiple organizations' membership, events, and fundraising activities.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

As with any software, there are growing pains involved with learning iMIS, and occasionally, their support team struggles with really engaging with problems.

**Recommendations to others considering iMIS:**

This is a strong, solid product supported by developers who are always working to improve it.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Many possible answers, but to pick one, iMIS has excellent events management and reporting capabilities for tracking every aspect of large and complicated events.

  ### 2. Building and integrating with IMIS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2022

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

IMIS offers robust out-of-box solutions to meet various business requirements. Additionally, IMIS makes it easy to integrate between 3rd party apps, and custom development with their Rest API.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

The entire Certification process has changed between versions of IMIS, and there is no step-by-step guide that walks you through to manage or transport certifications from legacy desktop to the staff site. Events in IMIS are not suited for a full meeting, and most partners recommend 3rd party solutions (adding additional cost).

**Recommendations to others considering iMIS:**

IMIS is a good product that works for organizations with IT and non-IT staff. IT staff have leverage because IMIS makes it so much easier to build and integrate on top of it and with it.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are capturing and reporting membership data, revenue, and product sales. Building statistics and projects with the data coming out of IMIS is easy to build and understand.

  ### 3. Using iMIS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris C. | Deputy Grand Secretary, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2021

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

Being able to adapt and change the materials we want to get from the system. Being able to use in the cloud. Support is really good and helpful. Their information help is very good and we can get answers usually to most questions.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

Sometimes hard to remember things you don't use much. The report writer is not as good as the old version. Sometimes slow. Don't like how we set up dashboards in colour to see nicely and they then update the system and destroy it all.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to keep our membership database up to date and get live results for various statistical analyses we require.~Having members update their data and also being able to book for events and purchase from the shop. Taking a lot of work from the office staff and giving the members ownership of their own data.

  ### 4. Useful system for association management.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2022

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

Able to do most association management tasks via a single platform.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

Functionalities are scattered, you may need to go to multiple places for one change/setting. Billing is complicated.

**Recommendations to others considering iMIS:**

You might need a IT-savvy person if you intend to build your website yourself.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can use our database for almost anything, within one system.

  ### 5. Let's Be Real

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2021

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

The only reason I am even giving iMIS a 9 is because there is not a single product in this world that is deserving of a 10! Giving someone a 10 in my eyes is like seeing a unicorn or it means they have no more room to grow and they are perfect at everything,.. even Amazon doesn't have a 10! The flexibility of iMIS Is and always has been great! You are able to work with the API and have other software connect to your data continually making your organization more flexible and shaping it into a system your constituents utilize with ease, and you are able to get more of a return on your iMIS investment in the end. It has come a long way in the 28 years I have used the product and continues to become more efficient and better on a consistent basis. The developers of iMIS are willing to listen to use as the users to make continual improvements to the product as a whole. There is also an entire network of users to lean on for help.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

If I have to pick something I don't like, I guess I would say it is actually a good thing but yet annoying in that you have to sign in if the system is left idol for longer than a certain number of minutes. This is amazing security but as a user that wears many hats, it can be frustrating. LOL A double-edged sword I guess!

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are always utilizing new functionality, especially surrounding the dashboards and the automation you can set up. Dashboards have been great for a quick look at numbers from the C-level perspective. Automation allows my staff to utilize their time in more beneficial ways to meet the mission and goals of the organization. So the realization is we are saving time and money!

  ### 6. We Just Renewed Our Contract

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2021

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

iMIS holds a LOT of information. It is nice to have everything we need to know about our members in one database. But what I probably like best about iMIS is their Support.

Their Support Staff are knowledgeable, professional, and a pleasure to work with.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

No solution is 100% perfect for everyone. There is not anything I dislike about iMIS, but there are things that I wished our version of iMIS did better. With that said, we are using an old version of iMIS and are in the middle of an iMIS 20.3 upgrade and I feel that many, if not all, of my issues that I would post here are addressed in that version.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping up with what our website visitors are doing. I like that this maintains information about members and non-members, alike. That really helps us slice and dice through the data and it helps to identify targeted audiences for communication, for one thing.

  ### 7. User-friendly, a very flexible membership database that makes reporting easy for decision makers.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2021

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

IQAs that are flexible- you are able to report on anything even some other crazy requests.
Dashboards are just great - you have a snapshot of anything you want.
Self-service facilities.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

The upgrade of the software is complicated you tend to depend on the certified providers.

**Recommendations to others considering iMIS:**

Its a flexible system

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had reporting issues before, however, the moment we started using this software we were able to report on some craziest requests from members.
We are now able to have full visibility of our membership from membership fees to those in good standing thereby giving decision-makers correct information and we have seen an increase in the membership revenue.

  ### 8. Wonderfully Powerful with Some Surprising Limitations

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2021

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

I love the ability to customize data fields and leverage the power and flexibility of IQA queries. You can pull data any way you want it.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

There is a steep learning curve, especially with the IQA queries. We've also noticed slow load time intermittently. Errors seem to pop up with some regularity, but support is usually able to help resolve. We have experienced multiple days of downtime due to a recent security hack. Also, scheduling emails is very cumbersome. I would recommend using a separate email platform.

**Recommendations to others considering iMIS:**

Be very specific about your needs during the demo phase and ask them to show you exactly how your essential processes would work on this platform. It's easy to think the product checks all the right boxes without realizing how your workflow might change. Also, make sure you have the right expertise available. We started out by needing a lot of support from a consultant, which increased the overall cost.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing our contacts and capturing revenue online. The profile login also allows us to create member-only content and empower the users to keep their own contact information up-to-date.

  ### 9. Great functionality and support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2021

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

The iMIS Support Team and Learning Hub have been invaluable in helping us transition to iMIS Cloud. The product has so much functionality; you really need training and support to be able to use it to its fullest.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

Some features are not as straightforward as they could be, and information isn't always easy to find in the documentation. I often can't find what I'm looking for in the documentation when I use the search feature.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having membership integrated into the same system as donations and events, etc., has saved many hours of staff time for items we used to have to complete manually.

  ### 10. We've built our asso

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon L. | Deputy Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2021

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

There are very few limitations to iMIS for our association. You can integrate almost anything with it via bridges, SSO, REST API, etc. which is extremely helpful. We have integrated an automated email marketing system, mobile app, on-site event management system and other things. We have a really nice responsive website through the RISE site builder. It is easy to make members-only pages or restrict pages to other groups as needed which promotes membership growth. We have had a major jump in membership since we began using iMIS in 2017, which is due to a variety of factors, but the ease for members to join and renew through iMIS, as well as giving them reminders, has definitely helped with our volume.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

This is not an easy system to configure - iMIS is definitely not something you take out of the box and start using quickly. You will need to pay a consultant to assist (added cost) unless you have someone on staff who is trained for this (unlikely). With that said, our consultant has been great and is like an extension of our staff now. The integrations with other systems have given us a robust tech setup for our members, but each one has its own cost. With all costs for iMIS, the consultant, and the integrations, we are paying a lot more total than I would have imagined in the beginning. We added the different costs over time and the growth of our association during that time has supported these costs.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Members are easily able to manage their membership status, event registrations, manage company staff and contact information. We are able to provide members-only content which has aided in membership growth (motivation to pay). Able to offer event registrations based on membership status, or require login for access to things. Integration with automated email marketing software has been a huge plus in keeping members informed of their individual status without importing/exporting email lists or creating many different versions of emails.

  ### 11. Challenging uptake but worth the investment of time - already providing dividends.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrian A. | C, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2021

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

Depth of tools allowing far greater flexibility in managing member data.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

Complex for a volunteer based organisation with a high churn of staff. Can benefit from more intuitive AI functionality.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merging five disparate systems into one solid platform that will allow greater services and visibility for members.

  ### 12. Single Source of Truth for Association

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Trudy F. | Executive Officer - Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2021

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

Having moved from various data sources to one source of truth for our Association has been a game changer.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

Occasionally we have had issues following an upgrade, but generally these are resolved in a timely manner.

**Recommendations to others considering iMIS:**

Make sure you do your research and ensure you allocate good internal resources to implemenation and also work with an implementation partner.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Singel data source, also we have integrated this with Mailchimp and Higher Logic and other 3rd party products which has extended our use of iMIS.

  ### 13. Membership Manager

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2021

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

Well I have been on imis for 20 plus years, and have seen the improvement that has taken place, there are times because I am still on the desktop and staff site that it becomes a little frustrating, but overall I love iMis.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

some of the functions are too many steps

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No problems to solve at the moment to discuss.

  ### 14. Powerful System, Continuously Improving

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah I. | Project & Business Intelligence Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2021

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

iMIS is highly customizable and able to handle a large amount of data. I've worked with various versions for the past 13 years, and there have been and continue to be significant improvements. The newest version - iMIS Cloud - is much more user friendly than previous desktop versions. I'm particularly excited about the new Report Writer and Formbuilder tools, as well as our ability to easily integrate other software solutions. Customer service at ASI, the company who publishes iMIS, is fantastic.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

There is a definite learning curve for new staff, especially those with little or no previous database experience. Although iMIS Cloud is better than previous desktop versions, it's not what I would call simple to use.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iMIS is a repository for huge amounts of information, allowing us to get a good picture of our members' interactions with our association. Moving forward, we are integrating additional software solutions with iMIS to truly give us a 360° view of our members and their participation. The ability to integrate reputable solutions in different business areas with our membership database is invaluable.

  ### 15. It’s Good But Looking For More User Friendliness

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2021

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

IMIS is great to utilize in pulling reports, and also managing a website on Rise.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

It's not user friendly for members when logged in, or when registering for events.

**Recommendations to others considering iMIS:**

My recommendation would be to others - get to know IQA's and how to write them.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to run reports for members when meeting with them. It keeps things organized.

  ### 16. Good for membership organizations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dana D. | Human Resources Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

I like the search feature and reporting capabilities.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

On the desktop version, there are many steps to jump through to complete a transaction. The web version is much more user-friendly, so we are working to transition to that entirely.

**Recommendations to others considering iMIS:**

I have heard that Salesforce is more user friendly but I have not used Salesforce myself.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They have a great dashboard with reporting features. You can run targeted reports to see what member is in a particular group or demographic.

  ### 17. Great Customer Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2021

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

The customer service has been excellent. The cloud version of iMIS has made the way we do things so much easier. They let us know when they are running upgrades and keep their customers in the loop.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

The documentation can be confusing for non-technical people.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been working to streamline everyone's work in our small association. iMIS can do so many things that I never knew it could and wouldn't know if we had never switched to the cloud.

  ### 18. IMIS user for 20+ years

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Albert P. | CFO, Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2016

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

A great database which allows us to multiple ways to track our members and their interests. We can invoice products dues and track events and fundraising it also integrates with our website.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

Integration with federal and state office holders is needed

**Recommendations to others considering iMIS:**

If you are looking for an intergrated database this is the answer

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a large number of related contacts and we are able to meet all of their relationship needs

  ### 19. iMIS for our association

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2021

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

Ease of use, and power of data which associations wouldn't normally have access to.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

That we cannot yet do partial payments for memberships.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication to members in a timely way. Tracking of renewals and engagement with our association.

  ### 20. Great Customization Options

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren R. | Sr Director, Athlete Safety and Education, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2021

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

We had a unique set of needs for a CRM and iMIS delivered! We have been able to customize the back end and hook other programs up using API. It has made our processes so much easier.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

There was a bit of a learning curve when getting the system set up, but once you get the hang of it, it's fairly easy to navigate.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iMIS serves as our hub for all of our other systems to talk to. This way, we are driving consumers to one platform instead of several.

  ### 21. iMIS has everything to offer in an AMS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephanie M. | Director, Member Support, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2019

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

The robust functionality of iMIS is one of the things I like best. There are so many options available for the end-user.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

There are some limitations, however, you can always customize to meet your needs.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One-stop shop for our member information, events and publications. We have been able to integrate iMIS with our webiste, community and other third-party products in order to capture all data in one place.

  ### 22. iMIS Excellent for Small Company

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2019

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

We have been transitioning everyday functions from iMIS desktop to iMIS cloud and I really enjoy the customization of iMIS cloud features. We can create reports easy, set up staff friendly dashboards to keep applications organized and the candidate facing applications pages are easily accessible and editable through the cloud. I also think the IQA's are easy to use and build and the Process Automation feature is a great one to use.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

There are far more clicks to get to certain areas of the account information in comparison to iMIS desktop. I wish there was a more streamlined approach to a members information. We also needed to create a lot of custom pieces with a 3rd party to meet our needs as an organization.

**Recommendations to others considering iMIS:**

Make sure that your website is compatible with iMIS if you choose to integrate the two. We had some hiccups with making a universal sign-on page with Kentico and iMIS.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting the data from our database organized easily and be able to report it in an organized manner. Using the dashboards and setting up IQA's has made monthly reporting much easier. Having the ability to edit the dashboards gives us the ability to see the information that we need to much quicker.

  ### 23. Taking care of business the iMIS way!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Relations | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2021

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

Its multi functionalities and planning. The fact that it has the capabilities to bring our departments together into one unit.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

The error messages, but they are far a few in-between.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving the gap that had different departments having to email information to the other, now with iMIS each can see and work as one unit inside of the software and see what the other has going on in real time.

  ### 24. iMIS allows up one system and one place to have record of all our members do

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christina L. | Web and Business Systems Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2020

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

We can customize to fit our process and our business needs. The variety of modules and areas you can serve up from iMIS is great for membership based organizations. We don't need lots of different applications or software to do most of what we need and we can do custom integrations to our website.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

The learning process to figure out how to customize and accessing all the different data can take a bit to learn. There is so much you can do but it takes digging to do so. I wish the commerce side for products was a little more robust where things like discounts and special pricing/packaging isn't available within the set of solutions.

**Recommendations to others considering iMIS:**

Work with a consulting partner to review your requirements and setup needs. Get involved with the iMIS Community and NiUG groups to get training and learn more about all the things you can do with iMIS and ways to integrate with it.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We do a large variety of things from general membership records, different member types, students and future member tracking, annual dues, tracking of committees/leadership/volunteer groups and a variety of demographic information related to the members specific to them. We also do a bunch with product, subscription and event sales with all financial transactions going through iMIS. It's really a single place that we have record of who our members are and what they do with us.

  ### 25. Long term membership engagement and management system for associationbs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2020

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

Large customer base, strong third party developer partners and an excellent "independent" user group. Upgrading to new versions is always an easy process when new technologies create enhancements.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

Learning the reporting system can be daunting and time consuming at first but once learned is powerful. Modules can be very pricey for smaller associations.

**Recommendations to others considering iMIS:**

Attend a user group conference and visit with other users. They will openly share their pro's and con's and why they use iMIS.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Strong communication and commerce benefits for us a our member engagement system, communications, website, event registration and accounting are all seamlessly tied together. Self service of member records has been very helpful in keeping data reliable and up to date. The tie between event registrations and our accounting system have reduced staff time dedicated to those functions.

**Recommendations to others considering iMIS:**

Very friendly user. Amazing fundraising software.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are in the migration stage right now. Teresa Knechtel is guiding us step by step. Couldn't ask for a better trainer. She's amazing.

Several automated processes

  ### 28. Big Improvements with iMIS Cloud

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2020

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

My company has been on iMIS for almost 20 years. We love the fact that we can do almost everything with iMIS and don't have to have lots of different systems to accomplish all of our tasks. We use iMIS for our membership database, event registration, website, invoicing, book sales, revenue uploading to a separate accounting system, automated emails, volunteer and award tracking, dashboards, reporting and fundraising.

We have seen approximately a 30% decrease in our annual fees since transitioning to iMIS Cloud. We are no longer paying separate fees for hosting and the yearly subscription and it’s nice to have it all in one payment. We used to pay thousands of dollars to undergo an upgrade and would fall behind because it was so cost-prohibitive. It used to take so much time preparing for an upgrade and then testing afterwards. Now, with automatic upgrades, we are always on the latest version, have access to the latest features and we don’t have to go through all that prep work that comes with a major upgrade.

Our cost for third-party support has decreased as well by having a basic level of support included with our iMIS Cloud subscription. We have been happy with the support that ASI has been providing – they are very helpful and friendly. ASI has a great help site with how-to documentation and short training videos which helps us when we need a quick answer.

For new staff members it is nice to only have to train them on one system (staff site) and not the desktop. It is sleek and modern, and we can do everything on the staff site that we could do on the desktop.

As a small staff, we do not have an IT person in-house and we don’t have a staff member dedicated solely to iMIS. Being in the cloud puts our mind at ease, as we know that ASI is taking care of backups, PCI compliance and security. Upgrading to the full cloud forced us to clean up our database and let go of some old customizations. Adapting to out-of-the-box solutions has made our system easier to manage which is important for our small team.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

3rd party support is expensive and is hit or miss. There is no easy way to customize an event ticket out of the box if you are not familiar with SSRS reports. There is no easy way to register a table for events. Some processes are a bit clunky and sometimes don't work for no apparent reason and then they will work the next day. No OOTB solution for members to save payment information and auto-renewal memberships. The website can be finnicky at times.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Staff time has been freed up since we implemented Process Automation to automate some of our tasks/emails. It's nice to have almost everything we do in one system.

  ### 29. We are very pleased with iMIS Cloud

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Larry S. | Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2019

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

Ease of use, great customer support, ability to create customized reports, integrating reports into our website, excellent - excellent online training on how to use the software.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

The worksheet used for data conversion was difficult to understand - but the implementation team was very helpful. Also, some of the RISE templates had default settings that needed to be changed that I didn't realize until after we were live, but again, support was quickly able to pinpoint the issue so it could be corrected.

**Recommendations to others considering iMIS:**

Very pleased with iMIS Cloud. From the time the agreement was signed until we were live was just under 90 days. But was also focused our efforts on going live within this time frame.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a responsive website and wanted to integrate with a conference app. Both were available through iMIS.

  ### 30. Well designed and easy to use for membership associations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ashish p. | System And Database Administrator, Hospital & Health Care, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2019

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

The software is easy to use and frequent service packs released time to time with improvements functionality. Regular iMIS webinars would be there to keep you updated with upcoming features and new functionalities.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

Sometimes this software gets hung or behave weird way. Not good for large data organizations.

**Recommendations to others considering iMIS:**

iMIS is specifically suit and designed for small to medium level organizations/associations. Frequent webinars and online training are available time to time. An annual conference is a great place to catch with other iMIS consultants and associations members.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have improved many old school processes after joined and improved data quality. Few automation tasks have been set up to reduce manual work for other team members. iMIS likes ocean and always there is something to learn more.

  ### 31. iMIS manages all ZTA membership information

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2019

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

The most helpful part of iMIS is how customizable it can be if you are intentional and take the time to build out the structure you need. There are plenty of features that can be used out of the box but there is a way to tailor the tables, fields, etc. to exactly how your organization needs to use it.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

It is the other side of the same coin - what I like best about iMIS can also be what is most difficult. Because iMIS can be so customizable, it is easy to create something with good intentions but then if you did not think big picture and long term about how things need to be used and how things need to evolve, it is very difficult to undo things down the road. Since it can get rather complex, you must know the system AND your data intimately in order to manage it most effectively.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had a situation where our members did not have access to their own membership & volunteer records even though we had it recorded in iMIS. Therefore, they were keeping track of their own records and it often did not match what was in iMIS - leading to lack of data integrity. Our solution was to display the membership and volunteer records to our members on a RiSE page so that we are keeping track of the information in ONE place and edits are made if necessary.

  ### 32. Great CRM and Getting Better!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2019

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

iMIS holds all of our data and we are able to get everything out of it we need. The product is continuously getting better, and if it doesn't have a feature we're looking for, it can integrate with something else that has that feature.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

Sometimes, it can be a bit clunky if you're not on the newest version of the platform. There are also very specific ways to report, and you need training in order to do this. I believe they are working on this now, though, and it will be easier in the future.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iMIS allows us to use the data to make strategic data-based decisions for our business.

  ### 33. Awesome experience that grows as new things are found!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan R. | Technologies and Network Services Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2019

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

It has a lot of out of the box elements that work and create an easy to use environment. There are lots of resellers that also provide customization that can help get things just the way that you need them. The move to the cloud and more regular releases of updates shows that ASI is invested in improving and bringing new elements to the table.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

It can sometimes be hard to configure things just the way you want out of the box requiring a customized solution. I find it hardest to evaluate new features and updates to elements that we have customized since staff become so used to it one way.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I believe that staff are more invested in the data we collect and using that for other work. We have started to target engagement elements and being able to display data in a format that staff can digest easily has only helped improve adoption.

  ### 34. Great CRM for Nonprofit

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ellen T. | Database Manager, Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2019

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

Easy to organize your data visually; lots of ways to integrate your data with other companies, but a lot can be done within iMIS with its various modules.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

There is a lot to learn (but there are a lot of great resources!). You need to know the basics of how databases work and are organized if you want to be successful and learn the higher level features.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are learning how to better use iMIS to capture data for analytical purposes.

  ### 35. Awesome Product and Super easy to Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2020

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

Pros:
Easy to use
Friendly user interface
Easy customization
Easy to run queries and obtain data trends
Very good to generate reports for KPIs

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

Remote Desktop is a little clunky and you need to contact customer service quite often whenever you hit a snag.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Excellent database management
Easy to send mass communication
Scheduling automatic tasks when status changes
Easy for members to renew

  ### 36. Long time iMIS Uer

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2019

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

The new web based version is so user friendly and we have been able to customize it for our organization.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

That we still need to use the desktop client to complete some tasks.

**Recommendations to others considering iMIS:**

Have a full list of what data you want to track and what way you want to see that data. Dashboards, reports, searches, etc. Be sure to ask a lot of questions and ask to see how other similar companies use iMIS.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to use Process Automation to have iMIS send personalized emails to members after actions are entered into iMIS. This has freed up staff time to use on other protects.

  ### 37. iMIS for not-for-profit organisations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2019

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

iMIS is available on the cloud through a web based page making it easy to use and view. The dashboards in each section (membership, events, commerce etc.) provide a quick snap-shot of your business and can be configured the way you want them. Versatile, informative and useful the software works well for purpose organisations.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

The out the box product is helpful, but one you know of all the capabilities you want it to be customised NOW, which naturally isn't possible. It's worth the wait in getting it to where you want it to be for your use.

**Recommendations to others considering iMIS:**

There is so much capability in the program and it's advisable to have a database administrator or someone who is experienced with iMIS to educate the best use of all the multitude of fields. Some customisation will be required to best benefit from the features.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm specifically involved with events and at a glance I can see how many people have registered, what the revenue is, mix of members/non-members, member types etc. Each web page can be branded and contain the relevant information for registrants and internal users alike. It's versatile and easy to use.

  ### 38. Highly Recommend iMIS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2019

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

The ease of editing the website using Rise. Very user friendly and straightforward.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

I can't think of anything that I really don't like in the software.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to have a ton of different spreadsheets and now we have the iMIS software that holds all of our data. We can still use spreadsheets, but the main data is in iMIS and we can use IQA's to get the data we need faster.

  ### 39. Has potential but there are better options

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2019

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

This is a small thing but I like that the fields will capitalize the first letter in a word when appropriate.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

Copy and paste in and out of iMIS you must use the mouse. There are also not many shortcut keys.

**Recommendations to others considering iMIS:**

iMIS will do the job but there are a lot of other options for databases that are a lot easier to use. Consider something that is more user-friendly.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iMIS is the database we use for our small association and it is the only option for me or I would not use it.

  ### 40. Greate AMS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** cheng z. | Manager Information Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2019

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

It is easy to use and great capacity, you can use most of out of box function without any customization. Easy to edit website and use on the browser version.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

I don't see the downside or dislike about iMIS, so far we found it is pretty easy to use and great functionality.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iMIS had impacted our work by providing easy access on the go and easy online join and donation

  ### 41. Great Product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2019

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

The fact that it is written for Associations is good as most database management programs are not. It can also be customized to fit needs

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

It is sometimes a bit frustrating running reports.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping all the information regarding a member in one place is a great benefit.

  ### 42. Long time user of iMIS

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2019

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

iMIS does a lot for our association. We use it for all areas of membership, certification and fundraising.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

The Certification module still needs some work.

**Recommendations to others considering iMIS:**

It takes awhile to get everything set up the way you need it. Everyone's business rules are different and that plays into the time it takes to set up the software. The more customization you have the longer it takes to implement.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iMIS is a full service AMS. iMIS keeps track of the students education and certification history and interacts well with our external LMS.

  ### 43. Great and easy once you learn the system

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2019

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

I like all the features it has. This make our work go by fast.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

I dislike the desktop version does not match up with URL version.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You’re not able to upload an Excel file to create accounts.

  ### 44. Powerful Database Requires Solid Training

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2018

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

iMIS is a very robust and powerful database that offers a lot of flexibility. The reporting capabilities are especially useful as you can extract basically any data field if you know how to set up the report correctly. iMIS is a modular based system, which again offer flexibility, in case you only need one module.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

iMIS has been moving to a purely cloud based system which I think has been negatively affecting it's performance. There have been times when the system has been so slow to go from one screen to another. It can be frustrating when you have someone on the phone who you're trying to help and have to wait for 30 seconds or longer for the data to pull up. iMIS may be a little too powerful and for such a complex system, the training one receives is woefully inadequate.

**Recommendations to others considering iMIS:**

If the vendor will allow you to use it on a trial basis, I would highly recommend doing so. iMIS is a powerful database, but it may be more than what you really need.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iMIS provides our membership database, website and small event registration in one integrated system. This allows us to keep better history on our member's involvement.

  ### 45. iMIS does most things "OK" but nothing really "great"

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2018

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

It's reliable, it integrates with third-party apps, Informz works well with it.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

Out of the box features like e-commerce, sign on, and event registration is not nearly as good as third-party providers that specialize in an aspect of association management

**Recommendations to others considering iMIS:**

Good, basic membership management software. Does a lot of things "OK" but not very many things "great"

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping good track of member information/history. Using Informz for iMIS, we are able to communicate effectively with members.

  ### 46. My company uses iMIS to keep track of member data.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Madeleine L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2018

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

iMIS provides a lot of different options for running email & address lists.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

Sometimes the system can be overwhelming to operate.

**Recommendations to others considering iMIS:**

Watch some of the educational webinars!

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to keep track of member records, payments, events, etc. with iMIS. It is a central location for all of our member data.

  ### 47. Competent AMS System for Member Driven Organization

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2017

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

iMIS is easy to use and easy to navigate for our staff when looking up member profiles, adding information, creating committees, setting up events, and pulling reports. Reporting is sufficient to our needs, and the ability to create custom queries to pull any information we could need is a huge plus.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

I work heavily on the accounting side, and there are many aspects of iMIS that I dislike. With the new iMIS 20 and updates forthcoming, there is talk of phasing out the desktop application, which at this point in time, the desktop is necessary for me. There is no batch control on the staff site of iMIS, which does not allow me to complete any external batches (Lockbox deposits, for example) through the staff site with accurate deposit information.

iMIS also does not support more than one Accounts Receivable account per entity. We work with one entity in iMIS, but we work with over 10 AR accounts, so our organization is really unable to use the GL interface to upload to our accounting system because AR would not be accurately represented.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iMIS is an excellent database to house our members and non-members alike, as well as all activity associated (event attendance, payments, committee involvement, etc.) iMIS has helped us to become more automated with member communications.

  ### 48. I work for a reseller of iMIS.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2016

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

Engagement Management System that is completely unique. It helps engage its members-and staff- any time, anywhere. The advanced process automation is incredible and everyone should be buying. We encourage all of our clients to atleast watch a demo. Easy sell and you can tell ASI is working to make less 3rd party options with Advanced Process Automation.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

honestly I really like iMIS - I don't really have any issues with it. ASI has some employees who are very uninformed but that is any company. Prices are high but I am firm believer that you get what you pay for. Ultimately its an investment that pays itself back for users.

**Recommendations to others considering iMIS:**

If you are still using excel - GET WITH IT! It is 2016 and there are revolutionary ways to manage your members. Your members will love this system.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

in 2016 we view data on our computers phones tablets from anywhere we want. This EMS gives us the ability to do this effortlessly. Also makes conferences for our clients so incredible when can update and register right there at their booth.

  ### 49. Great way to track membership and media contacts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2018

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

I like all the different kinds of information we can input into iMIS.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

When I search for a member in iMIS, I must scroll through the search results by dragging my mouse down the scroll bar. I wish I could scroll by using the middle mouse scroller or the up and down keys on my keyboard.

**Recommendations to others considering iMIS:**

iMIS is a great way to keep track of your membership as well as media contacts.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can add detailed information about our membership and our media contacts all in one place and easily run reports on different subsets.

  ### 50. The homebase for our member database

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2018

**What do you like best about iMIS?**

iMis is the homebase for our member database. I mainly use it for pulling reports.

**What do you dislike about iMIS?**

I do not find it to be particularly user friendly. While it does contain the best member information we have, sometimes I use other platforms for ease of use.

**What problems is iMIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iMis creates reports regarding our members, and keeps things organized.
