"Hands-On Support, Intuitive Campaign Building, and Strong AI Optimization"

What do you like best about illumin?

The things I like most about illumin as a DSP platform is their customer service (they are very hands on and provide recommendations), plus the platform is very intuitive for launching and managing campaigns. I run several campaigns on the platform and find their AI optimization capabilities works very well and I'm able to deliver omni channel campaigns across digital OOH, OLV, display, audio, CTV and more. The platform has drag and drop features for building campaigns out makes my life easier for trafficking and building out campaigns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about illumin?

I wouldn't say I dislike anything about illumin but areas for improvement include better pacing controls (currently just paces to a budget, instead of impression goals). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is illumin solving and how is that benefiting you?

illumin makes it easy for us to deliver value to our clients - we were looking for a DSP that would be flexible and work with us to build our value prop into the platform and illumin's team is very open to product enhancements that align with our goals as a client. In comparison to other DSPs they are also very competitive on DSP fees which saves us money in addition to the time and service benefits that come with their platform. "Illumin Account Managers Take The Product From Good To Great"

What do you like best about illumin?

The integration feature for meta where we can push RT audiences directly into platform is something we can only do with Illumin today. They also have dedicated account managers and sales teams that support campaign ideation, set up and delivery as if they were always a part of your team to begin with. Honestly the best part of working with Illumin has been the team of Chris Carmody & Stefen Shields. I worked with them on a different campaign with a different agency and when I got the opportunity to launch something new with Illumin and Digital Ignite they immediately reached out, reconnected and supported me in the same way I had come to expect and value from my previous experience. Regardless of features or performance I'll always give those two a chance to win our business because of the level of support they provide throughout planning and execution of campaigns as well as the ongoing optimizations, customizations and extra value they provide. What do you dislike about illumin?

The audiences & performance in general for ROAS/Revenue based campaigns is behind other programmatic channels at times. Great results from cross-channel activities for CPM control and volume of impressions, but the optimization toward a tangible business outcome like a purchase doesn't convert as well as other tactics. What problems is illumin solving and how is that benefiting you?

Give us access to scalable audiences across the open-web with the ability to import first-party data, RT, etc. that you'd expect from any DSP you're using. Beyond those basic features that should be standard or you should find a partner like Illumin to use instead, I love their integration with Meta. Being able to build a funnel from a programmatic ad to a specific meta ad that only goes to that already primed audience helps us manage budget flows and campaign efficiency in better ways than we can with other DSPs when we're running both programmatic and meta.
