After signing the deal, we generated the coupon codes. However, on the very day the distribution was supposed to begin, the category structure was completely changed due to an Ikas update. In a normal e-commerce system, subcategories are nested under their respective main categories. But now, all subcategories are displayed at once under each main category, completely ignoring the hierarchical structure. The company we made the agreement with called us and asked for the issue to be fixed. We told them we were handling it, but when we relayed the issue to Ikas, they said: “This change came with a general update. Unfortunately, we will forward your request to our technical team. They will process your request. There’s no clear timeline for when it will be resolved.” Naturally, we cannot say anything to our partner company. They no longer want to proceed with the coupon code distribution because the category section looks confusing and it hasn’t been fixed. Thanks to Ikas, we are about to lose a major commercial agreement. We will suffer significant losses due to Ikas changing our site structure on their own, without informing or consulting us. Worse yet, Ikas seems completely indifferent. When I reach out to the support team, they give the same generic responses: “We have forwarded your request to our team,” etc. It appears even they cannot do anything about it. Now I have two questions: 1. To the Ikas representative reading this: What would you do if you were in my position and lost this deal? 2. If I lose this agreement because of Ikas, will Ikas compensate for my losses? Ikas delivered a paced and user-friendly interface that was less sophisticated making it easy for every other team member to take part in the building of our online store front comfortably without complication and makes daily e-commerce task seamless. I appreciate how Ikas has considered the needs of our non technical team by including a wide variety of templates, customs styles and themes that enabled us to quickly put together and customize an appealing online store for our wood products without having to start from scratch. It has proven to be a practical tool by allowing us to present all our products in images of itself and even better embedd an image of construction projects where the product has been used and include measurements, tags, well defined categories and price even when there is any discount soo that the websites visitor can get a clear view and full information on all our products. This makes it soo easy for our customers search and spot the any product they are looking for so easily. Updating and adding the front display is hassle free and we can add as many products as we have available in our stores. My greatest highlight is it's comprehensivity into a single unified single checkout page that have made management of our online store on multiple platforms and facilitation of all orders and stock tracks a breeze.In addition there is a carting system that allows website visitors add things to cart and onboarded a POS system as well ie we have been able to develop a fully functional and complete sales system. Having integrated Ikas with AWS has enhanced it's security and reliability and we haven't experienced any security breaches on our online store since it was deployed. The Ikas customer support team was and continues to beneficial in our use experience. They were attentive and quickly respond to enquiries which have been our guiding light since day one.
