It is very difficult to be a user of IFS. It's not just the limited capability (there are very basic financial reports IFS can't create), difficutl to use, the very high pricing (and not honoring deals that had been promised when impacted by the frequent turnover), or the fact that even their sales people admit they are selling items (eg AI) that they don't have. You can start simple and introduce new functionality to the users almost infinitely over time. There are also channels to get directly into contact with managers inside IFS that share information about roadmaps, strategies and insights into customers issues and solutions relevant to your business.

As with most large and competent systems the cost both in terms of user training and licenses can be experienced as challenging when coming from a business specific smaller ERP with less features. Also when the offered prices when upgrading 1-1 from IFS Apps 10 to Cloud can be higly unrealistic.

It's projections and documentations on projections. Everytime if we want to query data from any projections then we are struggling to get it in one shot as we are not sure where we find a page that connects projections and it's stored data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is a full end to end ERP solution for any business within any industry. It performs excellently in the cloud and maintains an impressive "up time" availability. I can't think of too many downsides about IFS. However, most of the support is headquartered out of Sri Lanka and sometimes the time difference for US based companies can be challenging when coordinating upgrades/updates. IFS is a complete ERP system, very suited to mid sized companies, which provides end-to-end processes for our business. Lobbies are very much liked by our users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Permissions are pretty complex and custom events cannot always be applied where you would like them to be applied. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Once you are familar with the platform then navigating through it is easy. The commands are basic and easy to remember. When the system lacks a certain function or field it is easy to create custom fields to meet the users needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is not intuitive. The system does not know how connect objects together. Documents, Modifications, Maintenance plans, nothing has "connection". Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that we are able to handle most requirements wtihout having to do extensive coding. We can add custom events or custom fields relatively easily and that doesn't impact our ability to take on the most recent updates.
