Every contact with support is met with "We are experiencing a high volume of support requests and will take a while... blah blah... thank you for your patience...." and then it's over a week - typically before they respond. **What problems is IDX Broker solving and how is that benefiting you?** Easy to add to my site AFTER they actually tie it to the correct MLS account. ### 2. But tech support is essential, and that's been decimated by the new owners. **What do you dislike about IDX Broker?** The customer support has been axed by the new owners. We used to get a real person on the phone immediately, and email inquiries were answered within a day. Now emails go ignored--zero response. And the customer support phone line goes to a voicemail saying "use the website"--then hangs up! This will cost Realtors real money when listings don't show up, widgets go blank, and serious issues with your site simply cannot be resolved. **What problems is IDX Broker solving and how is that benefiting you?** We counted on IDX Broker to provide a range of tools and widgets that would be very difficult for small web companies and their clients to access otherwise. But the MLS is a changing beast and websites naturally have issues, so customer support was absolutely KEY in making their program useful. Now that customer support has been reduced to nothing, a client's website could become literally useless--no listings appearing, serious issues with SEO, contact forms not coming through, etc.--and there's not a thing you can do without their help. A previously valuable service has really been reduced to ashes. ### 4. IDX Broker feels like a ghost company. From my experience, it seems somebody created the product, designed the website, created the memberships, and hasn't paid the slightest attention to his business since then. - Outdated website - Very difficult to use for an average WordPress user - You can't customize fonts or colors to match your brand, so any website using IDX Broker will look the same - Their integration with Zapier suddenly stopped working. When I talked to someone at Zapier, they explained that it is an IDX Broker issue, probably because IDX Broker hasn't worked on updating their part. - Terrible customer service (It's been more than a week, and after five emails, I haven't been able to get a "Hello" from anybody) - Constant basic bugs and errors For example: this is the exact message I have seen from my client's account for over a month: "Map Tiles Not Displaying 5-14-23: IDX Broker map page tiles are currently not loading. We are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. Thank you and we apologize for this service interruption." - All of this while my client have to keep paying a premium monthly fee IDX Broker shows no signs of growth, updates or future plans. What someone built ten years ago is what it is. **What problems is IDX Broker solving and how is that benefiting you?** A complete nightmare. It has become a necessary evil for my clients. It's a service not made to help its final client (Brokers, real estate agents/marketing agencies that work with these people) but for web developers who want to earn commissions by working with IDX Broker. Their only way of surviving in the market is through an affiliate network with web developers: "If you build your client's website with IDX Broker, we pay you a monthly commission." The result? After your site is ready, IDX Broker ignores you. Their customer service is nonexistent (send an email and hope for the best). The only way to resolve any minor detail should be through the person you initially hired for the web development of the page. Do you want to add an IDX Broker feature on your website (...that you are paying monthly for)? You can't. The only person with those permissions is the developer allied to IDX Broker, even though you are the Broker paying for it. So you will have to pay the developer again for any little detail, adjustment or question you have about it. All this makes it clear that IDX Broker doesn't care about its clients, only its affiliates. ### 5. They are lightening up my wallet every month that they take my money and do not provide me with the tool to actually use to grow my business. ### 6. However they are so bad at providing service the Bad outweighs the good. I would search for another IDX service. **What do you dislike about IDX Broker?** It took nearly 2 months to get IDX service added to my website. The phone number on emails is out of service. They say they are busy and will get back to you. I kept getting error messages but no response or help figuring out why. Something that could have take a day took 2 months. I was offered 50% off once going through the cancel prompts. Then the bill showed double. They could not figure out my MLS even though they had a signed form from my broker as well as an email approval from my MLS. The sales person told me basically to cancel if it did not work for me after 2 months of being treated poorly. Beso is his name! It's been a nightmare. I am searching for a better solution. It's not worth it. I have filed a report with the better business bureau which they have not responded to. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. And clearly does not care. **What problems is IDX Broker solving and how is that benefiting you?** When working properly it gives visitors to my website the ability to search the mls for properties, and provides great market report info. My business performance has decreased because It has taken them nearly 2 months due to ridiculous errors on their part and delays in responding to resolve. It has been very frustraiting. ### 7. It adds IDX to your website with relative ease. Absolutely DO NOT attempt to migrate to IDX Broker if you are attempting to migrate a client/lead base from another IDX or CRM solution that has property searches you need to duplicate. The method for importing existing property searches is HIGHLY TECHNICAL. You have to build the URL matching the export from your existing CRM to IDX Broker database/API fields. Not a ton of documentation out there, or help. I was able to do it, but it was a challenge. Once you have the imported search, it works, but your clients can't edit or adjust the search in any way, they have to create a new search. **What problems is IDX Broker solving and how is that benefiting you?** I haven't seen any. ### 8. Now, most viewers will call the listing agent directly rather than contact the owner of the site. I can create searches and post as graphic widgets, search links and more. Searches based on all criteria in my MLS as well as polygon searches for neighborhoods. A recent addition is having the ability of creating pages of recent sales for neighborhoods, zip codes and school districts. **What do you dislike about IDX Broker?** Can be clunky to use. There is a learning curve if the site isn't being created by either a company or an individual who does this for a living. I was able to set up my own site and continue to expand it, but it requires a commitment to learn a lot of behind the scenes tools for using the IDX feed. A do it your self person not only needs to learn IDX Broker but also setting up something like a Wordpress site. **What problems is IDX Broker solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having a strong SEO property search site combined with being able to create pages to use to advertise on Soc Media is something I've been rather successful with. ### 11. I would much prefer an HTML, WYSISYG option. Also, new listing email updates are not sent in real time. The delayed email updates (often the next day) are disappointing as they put my website users at a disadvantage.
