What is IDU-Concept?

IDU-Concept is a budgeting, forecasting, and reporting system for midsize to large businesses in a wide variety of industries. In addition to these functions, the system also helps companies track spend, manage their assets and equipment, and more. IDU-Concept can be deployed in the cloud and paid as a monthly subscription, or purchased outright and installed on a local server, based on the preference and needs of each business. The Financial Reporting module aims to enhance visibility and provide full access to constantly updated, accurate data. The Revenue Reporting module allows users to comment on and analyze revenue data in real-time. It also helps calculate anticipated outcomes, predict risk, and report on past numbers. Alerts are automated and customizable, notifying users whenever new information is uploaded into the database, or a particular data set needs attention.

The Administrator functions are not intuitive, however if sufficient time is invested in setting up the system it does become easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is IDU-Concept solving and how is that benefiting you?

IDU-Concept has allowed me to place the responsibility of creating budgets and forecasts with the correct people. Historically the entire budgeting process was the responsibility of the finance team, now the responsibility is share with the operating team and end-users of the budgets. Uploading budgeted figures is a confusing process. I can thus not just adjust budgeted amounts throughout the year when updates want to be made on single items. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Branch managers now have visibility of their branch performance. Both top and bottom line. This helps as they can now measure their own performance and manage their own budgets on a continuous basis. What do you like best about IDU-Concept?

I like the budgeting function of IDU. Ever since using IDU, budgeting has been more efficient. It has functionalities that you can standardise to ensure consistency among departments/companies. You can have explanations of the exact details of the elements that one is budgeting for, so you have all the detail relating to budget easily accessible. Anything shortcomings in the current budgeting tool that you are using, IDU has the solution. It can integrate with our accounting system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is IDU-Concept solving and how is that benefiting you?

We initially used IDU as just a budgeting tool, we now use the Reporting function of IDU. So you now have your reporting information all centralised in one package. As all the data is in IDU we use IDU for board reporting. IDU has resolved the challenge of having to use different systems, yet the information( data warehouse ) is the same.

What do you like best about IDU-Concept?

I like that Idu is user-friendly both financial and non-financial users can do budgets and reporting as it is easy to understand. As an administrator, I like that the imports tell you exactly where the errors are in your import files when importing the budgets so that they can be fixed timelessly. What do you dislike about IDU-Concept?

What I dislike is the changes to the cost centre structure in changes in the historic data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Idu is the best reporting and budgeting system that I have used. It makes Reporting and budgeting less stressful. It helps Finance to be more efficient and flexible and adaptable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
