It is equally easy to use for all parties. I would especially like to highlight the fact that iDeals has evolved over the years and introduced new functions. iDeals can be used after a very short “training period” and is largely intuitive. If you have any questions, comments or requests, the Customer Success Manager and support team are always on hand to help you quickly. Compared to many other providers, the price structure is fair, so that customization is also possible for individual needs. Another positive aspect is that you can coordinate the data rooms yourself so that you can open and close a data room on your own. We currently have 29 projects and 138 users and have been a customer for four years. Implementation is a breeze. We have a branded file structure template to help new managers create a logical structure and appreciate the ease in which they can rename files and folders, drag & drop to re-arrange. It is also very easy to drag and drop your own existing files from your PC from Windows Explorer, maintaning the existing structure. Adding notes to each file or folder is terrific to see more about the contents without having to open. And the Q&A is a marvelous tool for collaboration that we are just learning. I have rarley needed customer service, but on the ocassion, I got fast and competent assistance. The ability to archive whole data rooms for up to 3 yrs without counting toward storage limits is very nice, and also the option to get a thumbnail of files sent to you. I particularly like the minute details available when allowing users or groups of users access to files with a broad range of from view only to sharing, downloading and uploading. And I love that users can only see what they are authorized to access in the file structures, so they don't know that other files or folders exist. I use most rooms to collaborate and share files with collegues internally, and also to bid out projects by sharing certain files with competitive bidders and allowing them to upload appropriate files to their folders. Having been in Commercial Real Estate and Financing for many years, I find iDeals invaluable for deal-making. **What do you dislike about Ideals Virtual Data Room?** I would like to have two account owners rather than just one, or the ability for more than one person to be able to see and manage all data rooms and files. At present there are good controls at the "manager" role with a great deal of access and control in a room once the creator has given an individual full admin rights, or just "Project Coordinator" for more limited control.
