It allows different types of feedback to be recorded consistently and has enough flexibility in the PI system to allow all the basic types of metrics. The built in reporting is perfectly adequate for operational use. The browser version has been stable and reliable. If your needs are met by the built in fields and you don't need to automate data extraction, it does the job. **What do you dislike about Ideagen Risk Management?** I use the Feedback and PI parts of Ideagen Risk Management, I'm a data analyst, reporting on the data. Getting data out of the system in any automated way is difficult. PIs can both be assigned to individual users or groups of users. That Ideagen PI module is web based. Traffic light system is used to show status of PIs so easy for non users of Ideagen to read and interpret reports created from Ideagen. **What do you dislike about Ideagen Risk Management?** That the reporting function is done via a desktop application and not integrated with the web based end user application. Not easy to create graphs from PI information and not intuitive as involves many clicks. Hard to customise PI graphs. Difficult to export PI graphs to non-users of Ideagen in say a Word/PDF format of a report. **What problems is Ideagen Risk Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** Recording and monitoring performance of different service areas of the Council. Through the traffic light system, I can easily see services that are reaching targets, performing well and have a green status as well as services that are not doing so well, have a red status and may require intervention. ### 5. It allows the organisation to monitor risks, actions and performance against our priorities. The price of the product means that it is accessible and a good alternative to the much more expensive systems that are available. **What do you dislike about Ideagen Risk Management?** With the move towards platforms like PowerBi and the ability to easily navigate through information at a click of a button I am disappointed at the lack of APIs that would allow the systems to speak with one another. I appreciate that they are building a new platform that will hopefully address this but can not comment on this as I have yet to see the preformance module which is relevant to my role. A more modern, accessible and interactive way to present information to those in the organisation without an account would be welcomed. Additionally, the amount of permissions required for queries within the portals is extensive. **What problems is Ideagen Risk Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** Ideagen Risk Action module within Pentana is being used to support our Policy management and allows officers to easily review and update policies, meeting statutory requirements. So the software may not be used to it's full potential. **What problems is Ideagen Risk Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** The main issue my organisation was experiencing was struggling to identify emerging risks in real time. This meant our responses were really delayed and risks were increased a lot. However Ideagen Risk Management has very useful automation and analytics features that allow us to track and identify risks in real time. It also allows access to a lot of staff, so the whole of the company is able to use it - meaning that everyone is able to report. **What do you dislike about Ideagen Risk Management?** Some parts of the system do not make sense i.e. action manager doesn't automtically link to the report, so sometime it can be confusing or difficult to remember how to access the correct part you need (i.e. to close down an action). You also cannot close an action on behalf of a member of staff which is frustrating i.e. if a manager is on annual leave or sick leave. **What problems is Ideagen Risk Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** One use that is really beneficial is the ability to assign actions to different people, and it allowing them to update and complete. Showing the full timescale and papertrail of the action (which likely came from a report). ### 9. You have to access another system to do this and it is not easy to use in anyway shape or form. The user guides are unhelpful. I am able to extract data out of the system and generate reports that contain specific information that is useful. The system is modern and simple, yet so affective. **What do you dislike about Ideagen Risk Management?** I find that the help guides are not as useful as they could be. They seem to be over complicated. If the guides were more visual, maybe with a 'how to' video or chatbox function it would limit the amount of staff we have who struggle within the system. **What problems is Ideagen Risk Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** The main benefit of using Pentana is that Pentana is a central data hub for all of the organisations data that is being collated. Which can simply be extracted from the system in a report that is custom made by the service who requires specific information. This has stopped individuals collecting data in a format that can only be accessed by themselves and can be seen and used by all that require it as and when they need it. ### 31. Reports are adaptable to personal requirements, ensuring our needs are met. **What do you dislike about Ideagen Risk Management?** The main downside is that reports can only be set up and amended in the Classic version of the system. Would be good to have some generic ready made standard reporting templates already built but this is minor. **What problems is Ideagen Risk Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** Presently being able to articulate assurance reporting which directly links to risks and corporate aims and objectives so all are accountable in one place. This is a change in progress presently which Pentana are actively helping us show, but we do expect this to make a positive difference and allow our associated reports to be more streamlined and efficient. ### 34.
