**What do you like best about ID.me?**

I use ID.me for military, student, and first responder discounts for my eCommerce storefront. It solves the issue of verifying military and student IDs to qualify customers for special discounts. What I enjoy most is that it's a set-it-and-forget-it type of program. It took me mere minutes to set up, and it works flawlessly on my Shopify store. I can easily add new customer segments with the click of a button. ID.me is also a recognizable name, and people trust it. Switching from GovX allowed us to include student and educator discounts, and the initial setup took me under 5 minutes.

**What do you dislike about ID.me?**

I have not found anything that I dislike about ID.me so far.

**What problems is ID.me solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ID.me solves the issue of verifying military and student IDs for discounts. It's easy to set up and works flawlessly on Shopify. I can add new customer segments with a click. We switched from GovX to include student and educator discounts.

**What do you like best about ID.me?**

I didn’t even get a chance to like anything. The site wouldn’t let me upload, and the “customer service” (lol) was less than helpful.

**What do you dislike about ID.me?**

They put an invalid customer service phone number online and when you try to chat online with customer service (yeah right) they keep pushing you and dropping you till you just give up. It makes me sad for our elderly that don't know what to do. But I'm sure they don't really care... Bummer. Im not done though ; )

**What problems is ID.me solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They aren't, i sat on hold for over 2 hours after they cut me off TWICE! LOL! Its so terrible, it's funny!

Absolutely nothing

**What do you dislike about ID.me?**

I think it's completely ridiculous that we're forced to use ID.me instead of my existing gov.id login for accessing the IRS. As a veteran and elder, not having access to my old email address makes authentication impossible. I tried an alternate ID, and it didn't work, and this has been an issue for five years. The facial recognition is very bad, and being forced to use chat support is a problem.

**What problems is ID.me solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ID.me is problematic for logging into the IRS. I can't use my existing gov.id login and have issues with email access. Facial recognition is poor, and chat support is subpar. This cost me a great deal of stress, anxiety, annoyance, and aggravating.

**What do you like best about ID.me?**

ID.me is easy to use! Within seconds I can adjust the discount level, include or exclude products, and turn the feature on or off (not that we turn it off). After initial dev work, it is very low touch. I also appreciate the extra promotion ID.me provides via newsletters and promo, as well as our Customer Success Manager.

**What do you dislike about ID.me?**

The initial installation did require some custom coding to get the buttons how I would like them.

**Recommendations to others considering ID.me:**

Build a webpage dedicated to these discounts to get the most bang for your buck. Also, we found success creating buttons for certain discounts at checkouts to get more use.

**What problems is ID.me solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ID.me allows us to give back to hard-working members of our community in a very easy way. We're able to reach and give discounts to so many people across many industries - it would have been impossible to verify identities and implement unique codes on our own.

**What do you like best about ID.me?**

ID.me has helped us reach some of our best customer groups. By offering discounts to verified teachers, first responders, and military we have been able to provide a tangible offering that expresses our support and thanks of these groups. The ID.me integration to our Shopify store was very easy and seamless. Not only were we able to show our support of our existing customers in those groups, but we were able to reach many more potential customers. We started with the basic self-serve Shopify integration, and after seeing results, we were able to transition to a managed account easily.

**What do you dislike about ID.me?**

We are still near the beginning of our partnership with ID.me, so there is nothing we dislike at the moment. The self serve platform has been a breeze, and we only just transitioned to a managed account, so I don't think we have enough experience to speak to this question yet.

**What problems is ID.me solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our customers who fall into the ID.me groups (military, first responders/healthcare workers, teachers) are among our best customers. ID.me has provided us with an opportunity to easily reward those customers with a discount while ensuring that only verified members of the groups are granted access. By utilizing their paid placements, we have been able to reach more potential customers. The customers are confident in our brand based on our affiliation with ID.me, and we are thrilled to have another way to reach our best customer groups.

**What do you like best about ID.me?**

The online simplicity to manage the eligibility of groups utilizing our product and services at OutFit has been a great benefit of working with ID.me.  Their service provides an integrated mobile application that allows any of our users to seemlessly verify and validate their identity as first responders or military personnel.  Not having to manually verify eligibility has proven advantageous in minimizing customer service requests and inquiries by qualified individuals.  It has also protected us against having to manage potential fraudulent requests.

**What do you dislike about ID.me?**

The reporting.  As our utilization of the ID.me platform continues to develop and user numbers increase being able to see a deeper level of reporting on the effectiveness of the platform would be helpful.  The summary reports are good, but are somewhat lacking in some potentially important KPIs.

**What problems is ID.me solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Qualified users of our service that should receive a discount and effectively verifying who they are in a secure and trustworthy way.

**What do you like best about ID.me?**

Our goals with ID.me were to provide validation of eligibility for certain promotions on our hotel booking site - currently we have offers for medical personnel, military & veterans, law enforcement and first responders. We will be expanding soon to include teachers and college students. There is a great list of user groups ID.me can validate, so we can customize our programs by the audience we are looking to target, and ID.me includes our offers in their online store as well.

**What do you dislike about ID.me?**

We are only about a month and a half in, but we are seeing lots of guests using the program and the install was pretty seamless. We did have some challenges on our end with our booking system, but with a workaround or two the install wasn't bad. No concerns at this time, and I am happy to recommend ID.me.

**What problems is ID.me solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lots of hotels want to offer closed-loop offers to certain user groups not in their database, but we also faced a common challenge of guests booking discounts that they are ineligible to receive. ID.me took care of that for us, and for any questions ID.me provides us great client support as well.

**What do you like best about ID.me?**

ID.Me makes it easy for us to provide discounts and offers to segments/groups that our company cares about and wants to support, at scale. It also helps make for a better user experience for the customer with easy verification and eliminating the need for codes/manual changes, which is always a plus.

**What do you dislike about ID.me?**

I do wish that the product allowed our offers to be more dynamic and scheduled in advance. At the moment, if we want to change the discount of our offer, we're going in and manually changing it at various points in time.

**What problems is ID.me solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were previously offering military personnel a discount to our online store, but we were using customer care resources to manually verify each individual. With ID.me, we're able to automate that process and free up resources to tackle other customer care inquiries and business priorities.

Not having a clear POV on the users who verify using the ID.Me tool and how to leverage those profiles using ID.Me would be a great way to identify how to target them

Currently, our biggest problem is our ID.Me verifications are significantly down YoY and trying to figure out why and what we can do to fix this issue so we can improve our business KPI's

What I like best about the ID.me platform is that it is a pretty easy integration. Getting customer groups through the verification process is a pretty simple task. Another thing I like about ID.me is that they offer such a wide variety of groups to be verified.

What I dislike about the ID.me platform is the ease of use. We have two separate portals for dev and for analytics. If there were a way to merge information on one experience, that would be ideal.

We needed a partner that would verify groups and provide special discounts, such as military members, students, etc. We have seen a high engagement with the button and use of the special discount across our site.

**What do you like best about ID.me?**

Originally we used ID.me to provide healthcare workers and nurses a special discount throughout the pandemic. Then, after learning that we had a significant customer base with a military background, we expanded our groups to include military professionals, as well. Being able to offer these audiences an easy and effective way to verify their status and make our product accessible to a more diverse demographic has been very valuable to us. 

Additionally, it's clear that the ID.me team really cares about our partnership and our shared success.

**What do you dislike about ID.me?**

Not much to dislike here! Everything with ID.me has been easy - from implementation to working with our Customer Success Manager, we've had a pretty seamless experience.

**What problems is ID.me solving and how is that benefiting you?**

An easy and protected way to authenticate customers and reduce fraud. Customers can verify and apply their ID.me specific promotion right at checkout, without even having to contact our internal support team.

**What do you like best about ID.me?**

I head up DTC for a baby products company and we wanted to give back to communities that give so much like first responders, nurses and the military. We looked at several different instant verification services but were the most impressed with ID.me. And our decision has turned out great. They have a Shopify plug-in so it was easy to set-up, they are always available if we have questions or concerns and most importantly it's working seamless on our site! I highly recommend ID.me if you want to offer discounts for first responders, nurses and members of the military.

**What do you dislike about ID.me?**

Nothing! Honestly they have a great service. I wish the verifications were free but they need to pay their bills :)

**What problems is ID.me solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted to increase sales/conversion and thought offering a discount for members of the military, nurses, first responders was a great way of achieving our business goals as well as giving back to society. So far it's worked out great and we believe we're delivering on both of our objectives.

The hands-off approach with auditing validations including knowing that diligence was done to approve the correct people who actually qualify for a particular offer.

Although you can't please everyone some of the retail reps find the process cumbersome while customers are sometimes real apprehensive in providing their social security number and you have to respect that in this day in age.

**Recommendations to others considering ID.me:**

If you are a large corporation validating large numbers of customers this solution alone should pay for itself then some.

**What problems is ID.me solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A return on ROI from the thousands of fraudulent validations that have taken place over the years due to our revalidation efforts through ID.me. A process that takes the guessing work out of what is valid forms of identification for our frontline employees

We find ID.me to be an excellent identity solution for our clients as well as a fantastic platform for creating group-specific offers. The level of support received from exploration to integration and maintenance is top-notch. There’s also a level of comfort knowing the specific needs our clients have within this space can all be handled and managed within one platform.

**What do you dislike about ID.me?**

Not having the ability to make changes and updates to offers without some extra steps can be a hangup, but nothing preventing our clients and us from being successful.

**What problems is ID.me solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The most significant benefit is eliminating in-person verification for the groups our clients are targeting. Knowing the guarantees take place online frees up a lot of time and resources.

Making changes to offers require developer work. When developer bandwidth is slim, it can be a roadblock to participating in a promotional opportunity.

The thing we like best about ID.me is it does all the hard work for us verifying that our customers are a part of these communities, and we can offer them such great discounts because of their hard work.

Our customers have some complaints, but we don't - they feel like they should have automatic discounts by just telling us they are a part of these work forces, when it doesn't work this way - another reason why we love this platform.

**What do you like best about ID.me?**

Network is super strong and the engagement of those customers is even stronger.  This is something our customers were actually seeking out and are utilizing with each and every promotion we run.  Also good during non-promotional periods for year-round customer satisfaction.

**What do you dislike about ID.me?**

Wish we could use this to authenticate things like a custom "pro" program where we provide the authenticated names and those are regularly maintained and updated by ID.me.  But that's more a wish list than something we're not satisfied with.

Authenticated promotions are the #1 item that helps us reduce channel conflict and keep our customers engaged.

Some consumers previously feedback of long wait times, but every time we have contacted the ID.me support team we have been given great customer service and solutions for our consumers.

Their service allows us to offer unique and impactful promotions for our consumers, such as our Heroes Advantage Program, which offers special discounts for occupations such as military veterans, medical professionals, and law enforcement.

I like that it is all online and has a way of quickly getting people through the verification process. We rarely get any confused customers.

I wish it would extend internationally so students and teachers in Canada, the UK, etc. could purchase tickets at our special offer rate.

We are cutting out the process of researching and verifying individuals ourselves and avoiding ticket brokers using ID.me. It provided a simple solution to a common question that we were receiving.

**What do you like best about ID.me?**

My smartphone and pc with webcam. The instructions. I appreciate, that, if required there are options to submit other verifying documentation to prove identity. More professional than the others.

**What do you dislike about ID.me?**

No, all the systems work properly including the referee option. Their entire system works very well. Although it would cost more, they should allow video verification from the start.

**What problems is ID.me solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was being verified. I was proving to be who I say I am. They helped the Department of labor clear up fraudulent identities. I believe their assistance helped all the agencies they served.

White glove service all the way. Our customer service manager Kristin Kearney is quick to respond and collaborative on every project we take on.

I think its great that they built a platform where people who are employed in different fields can get discounts just for doing their job!

I wish there was an easier way to see stats for different pages in one dashboard instead of having to login to each one. The rep that we have could be more communicative and send over  comps without asking.

We are giving a discount to hard working individuals who deserve it. We are showing the community that they are cared for and we see the hard work they are doing!

I like that we can support those who support us by offering discounts on products that would be useful in the field for first responders.  Without this service we would be unable to fulfill this need of ours.

The pricing to use this service has gone up significantly this year without warning.  Since we are loyal to our first responders as customers, we feel obligated to eat the additional cost.

We can rely on ID.me to validate active duty first responders so we don't have to worry about people taking advantage of the program.

ID.me has brought us significant business by increasing our audience. We're able to remarket to the people that ID.me has brought in, which then also brings in more revenue.

Their documenation around upgrading to a full integration was confusing. We thought we had completed everything, then we were missing some steps, as well as needing to bring in segmentation into our CRM.

They are allowing us to offer rewards to our community heroes, and increasing our revenue because of it.
