easy to update contact lists, export when needed. like the ability to add contacts one at a time when needed, or can upload an entire list at once and add them to multiple contact lists at the same time for more targeted emails. Easy to schedule, change or update emails as needed. Once templates are created, it's easy to re-use and update those templates to send re-occurring emails monthly and weekly. Templates to create within Icontact can be tricky, either way too many graphics or very plain. When I have chosen pre-made versions within IContact, those never seem to send correctly and you cannot see much of the background pictures or graphics, so I have had to alter them quite a bit to make them look normal when sending. Also have had issues with templates showing different than in the previews for different types of screens, like mobile it seems to show very different than it shows in the preview window before it is scheduled. Recently updated some of our templates and there was a glitch that it would not let me type out the HEX color code. I found a way around it by clicking on another section that used that color, then it pops up in the previously used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Creating beautiful emails is super easy with iContact. You can choose to start from a blank canvas and use your creativity (and brand guidelines) to create a high conversion email, or you can choose from many available templates. Saving your templates is also easy to make those weekly newsletters a breeze. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The reporting features could use some work. iContact provides a great overview on an email campaign but there is no way to export that overview! I simply just take a screenshot, but I wish I could beable to format that report to my needs. Don't get me wrong, exporting data is possible, but only in a messy spreadsheet that takes hours to understand and sort through. There's a huge potential to improve in this area. As a previous popcorn user, I found iContact to be much more intuitive and easier to use, which is beneficial for training non-technical users. This is a must in many organizations and makes the implementation easy in some organizations with a large number of non-technical members such as academia.
The ease of use made it a tool to lean on frequently and allowed nontechnical users to take over the reins.
iContact has a fantastic number of useful templates and, with unlimited emails, is a great value for the money! Customer support also seems strong! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Pages load somewhat slowly.
Weak options for scheduling.
Limited integration with Access.
More expensive than popcorn or Mail Chlmp for what we needed it for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

User support is sometimes underwhelming. So they should improve. Otherwise i rate it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The ease in which we deployed iContact's system was terrific. Only made better by the ease in which it was to use the software, keep our user database safe and secure, and the analytics from our marketing emails -- all made incredibly easy to use and reach thousands of clients, customers, and alumni. The analytical offerings when we first used iContact were a bit of a letdown. Though those seem to have been added on to, we could have used a bit more about open rate, user search intent inside of our emails, and a few more analytical tools around our campaigns. Unlike most of email marketing programs like Emma, iContact offers mobile applications for iOS and Android. It enables me to create, personalize and send high volume outbound marketing emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Unavailability of freemium version is the only issue, but payment strategy is okay since it is based on pay per click (PPC). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
