There are so many things to like about Skill Survey; not only is the timeframe for completion notable, the text individuals share is invaluable. Previous to purchasing SparkHire, I can't think of a time where we did not hire an individual based on completing traditional phone screens. Since implementing, we have made the decision not to hire based off of information provided. Also, the insight given provides leaders with potential areas of growth. To start with, Skill Survey Reference is easy to use. The dashboard, the user interface, the navigation throughout the portal - is all simple and efficient.
Entering candidates into Skill Survey Reference is also simple. The 'somewhat' recently added text messaging feature has been excellent at helping contact both the candidate and his/her references.
The jobs library is extensive and makes finding similar job surveys easy.
Another great feature is the ability to create custom surveys and add custom questions to the established surveys. This feature allows us to add the questions that we need to help protect our organization from the liability of poor candidate screening practices. An example of this would be asking references if the candidate has ever shown a history of workplace violence or a history of illegal harassment behavior.

Skill Survey Reference is a great tool. However, there is one tiny aspect that can be a pain at times - the minimum reference count. Currently, at least two references must complete the survey in order for a report to be finalized and viewed. If this is not the case, you can not view the report. At all. The database and the fact that we catch people faking their references. The insights are incredible and people will rate candidates fairly accurately and give specific feedback on skills required for the job. One comment stated that the candidate was a great person as long as you don't require her to sell anything. The position was for Insides Sales. Respected resource with incredible data.
