IBM Sterling File Gateway Pros and Cons

The best part for me when using Sterling File Gateway is that I already use Sterling Integrator and it integrates very well with it.

If compared with similar products currently in market, it looks and feels old, but it is reliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

IBM and definitely work on improving the UI of this application as it is still the same as it was 10 years ago.

Not that user friendly to use because of difficult UI.

The breadth of the platform to perform communication, routing, translation, transformation, and delivery with almost any communication protocol, and almost any data content.

Communication Protocols: FTP, SFTP, HTTPS, JDBC, SNMP, SMTP

Messaging Protocols: EDIINT (AS1,AS2), RosettaNet, EBICS, ebXML, CONNECT:Direct, API, SOAP, XFORMS, WSDL

Data Standards: X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON, IDocs, OAGIS, GS1, CSV, Positional, Tradacoms, CII

Can have a significant learning curve.

Sub-Optimal configurations can be easily implemented.
