If compared with similar products currently in market, it looks and feels old, but it is reliable. **What do you dislike about IBM Sterling File Gateway?** IBM and definitely work on improving the UI of this application as it is still the same as it was 10 years ago. Not that user friendly to use because of difficult UI. Also, some more functionalities can be added to make it more appealing. **What problems is IBM Sterling File Gateway solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use it to connect to one internal servers as of now as it is still in testing phase. We are setting it up to be able to connect internally as well as with external customers eventually. ### 2. Communication Protocols: FTP, SFTP, HTTPS, JDBC, SNMP, SMTP Messaging Protocols: EDIINT (AS1,AS2), RosettaNet, EBICS, ebXML, CONNECT:Direct, API, SOAP, XFORMS, WSDL Data Standards: X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON, IDocs, OAGIS, GS1, CSV, Positional, Tradacoms, CII Query Standards: SQL, XPath, XSLT **What do you dislike about IBM Sterling File Gateway?** Can have a significant learning curve. Sub-Optimal configurations can be easily implemented.
