File transfer to file validation to file manipulation. The Sterling product umbrella allows you to plug into other applications directly or through API's, Been using the product for over 14 years now and its very little that it can't do. Once setup it takes care of itself. I'm happy with the improvements IBM has made and its direction going forward.
