What do you like best about IBM Cloudability?

It's a really intuitive software, it's easy to teach people how it works. It also cleans up the noise with the GL by providing only the data you're asking to see. It's a clean UI and is organized very well. The rightsizing recommendations have provided a lot of benefits to our team and the newly added snoozing functionality is a great help when looking at potential savings! We have some other tools where we just retrieve the data they provide via APIs since their UI is too convoluted, but we never run into that issue with Cloudability. Lastly, their APIs are a huge help to our team when we've needed to pull the data into our custom internal reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Cloudability?

When creating a dashboard, you can't bring multiple datasets into the same dashboard. Cloudability works in segmented tabs, so rightsizing lives on one page, cloud spend lives on another, same with budgeting / forecasting. It would be beneficial if they could bring it all together in one system, so end users could see a mix of datasets in one dashboard. Apptio BI has been a great solution to this problem from the initial tests we've had. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about IBM Cloudability?

Solid product that ingests all of the relevant data from our cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). and provides transparency and savings insights across multiple levers for each. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Cloudability?

Reporting is not great for reporting on containers, escpecially for AWS. We would like to get better information for usage and potential savings as well. This has improved over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about IBM Cloudability?

It is easy to forget with my finance background that engineers don't speak the same language. I love that Cloudability allows for the reporting of both financial and usage metrics so we can introduce the engineers to the finance side. I also appreciate how everything I need the engineers to look at and consider resides in one tool and also allows for self-serivce. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Cloudability?

I do wish that views didn't have to be created based on Account ID or Name to filter down all of the tool (Anomaly and Rightsizing). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about IBM Cloudability?

The way we can make cloud visible and allocate costs to our end users! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Cloudability?

How some of the products are disjointed. The way we allocate costs in Total Costs but have to toggle to Cloudability to realize other reports and dashboard data. Front end application users should not have to learn how to toggle these systems. We would like to use Rightsizing and other features but does not seem to work well withthe data we have in Total Cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Cloudability?

The reports offer very little flexibility and visualization, and the dashboard UI is at times too rigid, especially with Apptio BI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about IBM Cloudability?

We found that Cloudability gave us a much simpler and more useful breakdown of our costs vs the Cost Explorer in AWS, though AWS is always improving their own tools. We also really liked the monthly reports of which direction costs were trending for which services. It was overall a helpful tool in planning our reserved instances, and we liked that it consolidates reporting from multiple cloud service providers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Cloudability?

We found the contract/renewal/billing process to be quite opaque, and didn't have the best experience making changes. Part of this is due to our contract renewal happening during staffing changes internally. We had to contact support to resolve billing and account closure issues. Our account manager was not able to help us easily with changes to our account. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about IBM Cloudability?

Best and overall, Apptio Cloudability provides us the cost visibility from across the multiple cloud providers and their various services. This is tremendous help with our budgeting and ROI calculations and such. The visibility and clarity leads to better cost optimization that the platform also provides recommendations for based on usage. We don't need to do manual calculations or individual calculations from each cloud providers. Platform integrates well with our tech stack. Very easy to use and onboard. Their customer service is very helpful throughout the implementation and any other day to day support. The reporting and analytics is perfect for our needs as well, throughout our frequent use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Cloudability?

While the platform is feature rich, the only negative I think is the complexity with navigation and setting/administration of it. The cost optimization that is recommended by platform is not easy to implement - though it's a great insight. But these are not the hurdle we can't overcome - compared to lot more benefits and the visibility in our cloud costs that it provides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
