Response from Laurence May of IBM Blueworks Live

Hi Rahul, many thanks indeed for taking the time to write up this detailed and very positive review for IBM Blueworks Live. It is hugely appreciated and I take all of your observations and comments very seriously. I;m delighted you love the product and it is doing precisely what we intended in terms of workflow design and a single source of truth for your colleagues. I agree with you that the interface could be simplified and this is something we are focusing on for 2025, we intend to release the first phase of this in March this year. As part of this modernization process we are also looking at all the features and capabilities and exploring ways we can make them easier to use and more instinctive so this will hopefully also address the ' getting used to it' observation. In product education via walk throughs and tool tips is also on our roadmap for 2025. Thanks again

What do you like best about IBM Blueworks Live?

I liked the tutorials associated with IBM Blueworks, they were very useful and informative to get started.

The ability to start creating the process workflows with limited use was easy to pickup, importing visio process workflows as a starting point, and viewing the ability to see other workflows in the system provided a meaningful way to increase the use of Blueworks. What do you dislike about IBM Blueworks Live?

The ability to create 3 branches from a decision flow is there, however the ability to branch to more than 3 options was not easy to create in the process flows.

I was trying to create a process workflow for an intake form that would start off with a question and have more than 3 options to select from and was unable to create the flow in IBM Blueworks Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about IBM Blueworks Live?

IBM Blueworks Live has a ton of benefits over its alternatives which includes tools for visual representations of the complex processes and its collaborative nature with other softwares. You can also automate all the repetative tasks for the improvements of your business efficiencies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Blueworks Live?

Although Blueworks live is very helpfull and cost and time saving tool, it has some minor drawbacks over its competitors which includes limited customizations for process diagrams and report generations, also it is highly cloud based software which might need connection to internet all the time. though these are minor drawbacks over its vast advantages, they are worth noting. What do you like best about IBM Blueworks Live?

Mapping functionality to allow linking of processes and capturing metadata. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Blueworks Live?

Not a fan of the community recommendations/voting system for new features. Can be hard to find similar ideas and group them. The governance module was an improvement but needs some enhancements to align with organizational needs. There are some 3rd party offered elements (Salient Process - Insights) that seem like they should be native available functionality. Examples like RACI and journey maps. Response from Laurence May of IBM Blueworks Live

Hi Yogendra, many thanks indeed for taking the time to post this positive review of IBM Blueworks Live ! I'm delighted that you like our real time cloud collaboration for process management! I am really interested in your thoughts on what kind of customization features you would like to see in the future ? If you have a moment please do raise specific ideas as an 'Idea' in our IBM Ideas portal. I review these every week with my Dev team and we always respond, and often, these ideas get converted to roadmap items. So I do listen and act on our customer feedback. Idea portal is here --> https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/welcome-ibm-ideas-portal. I also note that you have experienced slow performance with large process diagrams. This should not be happening, at least from a hosting perspective. Again if you have a specific outage or slow response, please raise a support ticket and we will help resolve it. From a service stance this should not happen. Thanks again.
