Simple structure for structuring meetings and quickly seeing what has been discussed and what need to be discussed. The hierarchy makes sense and the ability to assign tasks and review them across workspaces is amazing. It's something that has been a gap for me in other task programs and it works well here. Collaborating can be a bit quirky. Sometimes I'll update an item while someone else is viewing it and the update will appear someplace random on the list of talking points. There is no way to see a running log of what's been discussed, you have to look at each historic meeting one at a time which can be annoying when you know something happened, but are not sure when. Hypercontext makes it much easier to record, organize, and execute on next steps and tasks that com up during team meetings. It makes it easy to understand the status of those tasks and also to share ideas between teams and groups so that brilliant ideas that come up during meetings turn into actionable goals and tasks benefiting our customers and improving our product. The hyper context interface is designed for collaboration which is great, however, I have seen some times when this collaborative interface has led to slightly un-expected errors or confusion as teams have attempted to work off of hypercontext sheets that are not all in perfect sync. Love the ability to drop items to the agenda from anywhere on the we. Super helpful to not forget little things, and I feel like it's much easier to enrich our talking points with data and insights with Hypercontext being available everywhere. I can easily grab a screenshot / link and drop it there on the fly.

The "past agendas" archive is an amazing resource we never really had before. It's so easy to go back and look at notes of how decisions were made or what was the process and steps taken.

The Goals feature is keeping us on our toes, encouraging progress, and allowing for timely updates. We love the variety of measurement options, the SUPER EASY flow there, and the overall experience.

The fact that goals are tied to a specific meeting and cannot be shared (for example, if we wanna track a shared goal between 2 departments - multiple measurements for each team) = makes goals less powerful than they could be.

I also wish there was a connection between goal details and next steps.

I enjoyed being able to add in questions that were more personal in order to really dig deep with team members who live remote. Being able to easily select questions made the feature feel less daunting for the direct report as they felt like these were questions being prompted to help them vs their manager asking tough questions in a traditional 1:1 setting without Hypercontext. Keeping meeting notes organized is a huge help as I used to take notes in several places depending on what was within easy reach. When we first started using it, there were quite a few features that were either missing or needed to be thought through again, but the Hypercontext team is constantly introducing new functionality and updating previous functionality to be better. We've recently started using it for performance reviews and while it's not perfect yet, I'm sure it will be an awesome tool that we'll continue to use in the near future. With the many options for notes and follow-ups on meeting notes, navigating the interface takes some getting used to. There aren't any convenient keyboard shortcuts that I'm aware of. Goals and their pairing with the performance management components can be a little wonky as well. They don't show up in a convenient way when completing a performance review (during my self-assessment at least). One major thing that is missing is specific functionality for one-off meetings, everything (that I'm aware of) is tailored to recurring meetings, which is very useful, but I have more one-offs than recurring meetings. They are pretty good about addressing things like this though, so I don't anticipate these things being a problem for long. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This is one of the very few software tools that my team actually ENJOYS using.

I've been organizing performance reviews for about a decade and a half. They have always been a drag and a headache. This year, done via Hypercontext, was the first time in my career that the process of doing an annual perforamance review has been positively received. Normally managers and employees think "ugh ok this is yet another thing we need to do." This year the feedback was universally "hey that was easy" and "wow that was useful." I was shocked.

Our managers also use Hypercontext for weekly 1:1s. It's so easy and organized for that. Our teams have a saying now, "if it's not in HC, it doesn't count". Everything we want done gets tracked and managed inside HC. All of the other places we tried to manage goals (like google docs, spreadsheets, even slack and email) all failed because they're too scattered and noisy. There are many tools that are out there that help with Employee Reviews and Setting Goals. The difference that Hypercontext delivers from every other platform is that the tool changes behavior. Being able to track discussions and next steps in agendas for future planned and unplanned meetings have been super helpful! I like the ability to add tasks to Jira. I also like the ability to add Goals to my 1:1 Meeting with my Manager and the ability to set metrics.
