## Huntress Managed EDR Reviews
  ### 1. Peace of Mind

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Garion O. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

During our 2 week trial we had a security event in which a user was comprimised in the middle of the night, Huntress was able to automatically disable the user account and stop the breach while I was asleep and sent detailed instructions to remediate when i saw the alert in the morning. The Managed approach with a real human Security Analyst looking at the alerts, filtering through the noise, and only alerting and actioning on events when nessicary is amazing.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I wish huntress had a feature to ingest firewall logs like some of the other XDR solutions out there.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visibility across our network, and our customers networks. Automatic defense against threats, without a flood of alerts to sort through.

  ### 2. Our experience with Huntress has been amazing!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I love everything about their product. It's incredibly easy to roll out to all endpoints. It's also a great second layer tool, if it gets past the A/V already installed on the computer Huntress will stop it in it's tracks.

Support has been top notch, I usually get a response from the support team in a few minutes if I ever need help.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I can't think of anything I dislike about the product.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing us a 24/7 SOC.

  ### 3. Love it!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress is easy to use, reliable and a core component of our security stack.
The support in the event of an incident from Huntress is second to none.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I'm yet to find something that would make me look elsewhere for a replacement MDR product.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gives us peace of mind that the team at Huntress are on hand and monitoring our endpoints

  ### 4. Huntress - Excellent Product, Excellent Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress Managed EDR makes it easy for SMBs to secure their client environments. Deployment and uninstallation are both quick and easy. Huntress quickly integrates with Defender and provides eyes on Defender configuration and detections across environments, while alerting you to AV events that require remediation. Process Insights makes it easy to eyes on malicious/suspicious processes in your environment and search through them, but the Huntress team does the threat hunting for you. Even with another EDR tool in place, I sleep better at night knowing Huntress has eyes on my environments. Doesn't hurt that they've got responsive support as well, and the dev team is super helpful when you need to work with them.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Compared to more robust tools on the market, Huntress is lacking a bit as far as network monitoring utilities go. The external recon feature is great, but insight into other traffic would be helpful. I'm also excited for the uninstallation protection capabilities to be rolled out, but I wish that feature was currently available. Endpoint isolation is great, but the ability to whitelist RMM utilities is necessary for this feature to work in remote environments.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress makes MDR easy and affordable for SMBs, and they do an extremely good job at it. Prior to Huntress, all of my clients were on legacy AV/NGAV utilities. An IT staff of 3-5 people can have difficulty managing EDR tools in-house, and Huntress takes the time and stress out of threat hunting and remediation.

  ### 5. Huntress Is Great

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Excellent product! It detects things that regular AV never found.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Nothing, Huntress has been a game changer

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's found risks that were not previously detected and it's keeping our clients safe

  ### 6. Great Product - Really Easy to Deploy and Manage

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joanne H. | Cyber Security Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

It was so easy to deploy to endpoints using the built in RMM component. The Huntress team are always monitoring alerts and raise issues as the arise.

When I have had issues with the agent, support have been quick and easy to deal with.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Nothing! I haven't experienced any issues.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps create a centralised portal for managing Windows Defender and generally monitoring machines, keeping important alerts in one place.

  ### 7. Huntress is the best Managed Security Platform!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daryl B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I quickly realized that Huntress is the best SMB security platform. With the rise of security threats and new AI technology. Security threats are becoming far more sophisticated. This requires more than anti-virus and firewalls provide. Today's threats require 24/7 monitoring and protection from newer technology persistant threats.

Huntress support is fast and effective when needed. Of all the other products we evaluated, Huntress was the easiest to implement and provide the best protection.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

There is nothing to dislike about Huntress Managed EDR! It is outstanding. Easy to implement, simple to use and total protection.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress Managed EDR

  ### 8. Excellent tool, good support and friendly team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris B. | Technical Account Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I have evalauted this tool for the business I work for and found the product to be very effective, manages Windows Defender well, has a lot of added security protection measures, and the host isolation features are very good. We were particualrly drawn to the 24/7 SOC offering and this has proven to work well now we have taken on the product and deployed it to a high amount of our client-base. It was also very easy to deploy the application.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I do not dislike anything, although better support for Mac would be a bonus.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is giving us an extra layer of security on top of Defender, but also manages Defender, which is a great benefit.

  ### 9. Huntress products are great

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Not having to manage / review false positives. I love having the piece of mind that having a 24x7 SOC onitoring my endpoints brings.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I dont have any big downsides so far. Some of the settings could be easier to set at org level, but minor annoyance only.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Endpoint protection and threat hunting

  ### 10. Best EDR I have used so far.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vermonte V. | Senior System Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Easy to deploy using RMM, lightweight and beat of all, works really well.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

None that I can think of. It just works!

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Early detection of Malware keeps me sleeping well at night as an administrator.

  ### 11. Very well laid out system that makes you feel confident that someone is looking out for you

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rick K. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Clean interface, easy to understand, pleasure to use. Customer support has been excellent. It's easy to use because you just set it and let it do its job.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Not finding any downsides, however, there could be more features and functions. But, that would also need to be reflected in the price. So, for the price, it's very good.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to come into an environment where we don't know the workstations/servers are clean or not. Antivirus and firewalls generally don't work, so having a system/service that's ready for rapid response is critical.

  ### 12. Peace of mind

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress provides me with the peace of mind knowing not only are the endpoints secure but also that there is a real person reviewing the alerts. The deployment of Huntress is also so easy that even in the most dire circumstances we know we can implement and begin monitoring with just a few clicks.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

So far I have nothing to go in this bucket :)

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its providing real time threat hunting identifying those items that could slip past an anti virus.

  ### 13. Support is Quick to respond

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The dashboard gives you a birds eye-view of your clients. Customer support has a chat bot which links to an agent which is amazing. Thank you to Patrick McGowan for reaching out.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I haven't had much experience with it yet so I havent frequently used it, however, I have requested training on EDR, ITDR, SAT & SIEM's. The pages do take time to load so I do get impatient when I sit for 20-30 seconds.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helped me to audit and track security changes in our client's networks. As well as keep our client's enpoints safe and secure.

  ### 14. Stay Ahead of the Game with Huntress!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ronaldo J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Easy-to-understand interface, real-time reporting, excellent support and great customer server whenever things go wrong and you need a push in the right direction.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Could use more features and deployment scripts

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress keeps an eye out for any suspicious activity on your system. If it spots something fishy, it jumps into action to stop it before any harm occurs. It’s like turning on the lights in a dark room. Huntress shows you what’s happening on your endpoints, so you’re never in the dark about potential threats. Think of Huntress as having a team of security experts on speed dial. They’re there to help you out, answer questions, and keep your digital world safe.

  ### 15. Best EDR Around!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shaun W. | Systens Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The host isolation is the most valuable, most critical feature of Huntress.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress support leaves some room for improvement

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

An EDR platform that can perform host isolation

**Official Response from Tayler Blanc:**

> Thank you for highlighting the value of host isolation in our EDR platform. We're sorry if you've had any Huntress support issues. We are always looking to improve. In fact, we have just added outbound phone support from our SOC team to assist with incidents, 7 days a week. Thank you for your feedback, and we look forward to continuing to work with you!

  ### 16. Huntress will SAVE YOUR BACON

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason E. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Just this morning we had a client who's employee fell victim to a phishing email and called what they thought was their bank. Within 2 minutes of the employee clicking where he shouldn't have an getting a screen connection software installed, Huntress had automatically isolated the host and created an emergency alert. We were able to protect our client from themselves and keep the wolves at bay.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

There aren't any downsides...an EDR is required these days and Huntress always has our backs and makes sure that everything is going smoothly.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Constantly watching our client's workstations for signs that something very bad is or is about to happen. integration with Microsoft Defender helps to provide even more critical (and timely) information.

  ### 17. Huntress will save your ass.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress makes security operations for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) easy to deploy, easy to understand, and easy to manage.

Clear documentation is available so you can resolve 95% of problems yourself. If, however, you run into a problem that requires human attention, the support staff are quick to respond, and will not give up until the case is resolved.

The pricepoint for this product is very fair; truly security for the 99%.

Most importantly, the incident reports generated in the Huntress dashboard provide detailed information regarding ongoing security incidents, and concise instructions on how to resolve them.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I have zero complaints or dislikes after using this product for almost three years now.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MSPs typically do not have the bandwith to staff more than one or two employees who are in charge of managing security for a fleet of potentially thousands of endpoints. Huntress EDR allows us to feel like we have a SOC operating in office, and helps us sleep at night knowing that someone has eyes on our environment.

**Official Response from Tayler Blanc:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Huntress Managed EDR! We're thrilled that our product has made security operations easier for you and your team. We're delighted to hear that Huntress Managed EDR has provided you with peace of mind and helped you feel like you have a dedicated SOC. If you ever have any questions or need assistance in the future, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to support you every step of the way. Thank you for choosing Huntress!

  ### 18. Huntress Catches things S1 does not.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress broght to our attention some potentiall dangerous inbox rules a client had set up from before we took them on. In addition, once we activated Huntress, it told us that some of the employees of the new client had passwords saved in plain text files on their machines. It weas nice to be able to remedy that before it became an issue. Huntress customer support has always been on point with quick, thorough responses to get issues resolved. The user interface is simple, clean, and elegant with tons of features available. It is extremely easy to deploy and use among multiple tenants with a simple, silent powershell script. We were able to easily integrate Huntress with our M365 tenants as well.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

My only complaint about Huntress is a lack of dark mode in the control center

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As mentioned before, fast and accurate detections of potentially dangerous files when onboarding new clients has been great.

**Official Response from Tayler Blanc:**

> We're glad to hear that Huntress has been able to help you identify and address potential security risks for your clients. Our customer support team is dedicated to providing quick and thorough assistance, and we're pleased to hear that you found the user interface intuitive and easy to use. We appreciate your feedback about the lack of dark mode in the control center and will certainly take it into consideration for future updates.

  ### 19. Amazing Product & Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress allows us to rest easy that our endpoints have the best possible protection. Where possible, we push this product to have ease of mind. Support is super quick and comprehensive. Have had no issues with setup of Huntress agents. Extremely satisfied with the product.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I have no complaints about Huntress at this point in time.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress has allowed us to review potential vulnerabilities across many customer endpoints as well as protect devices from known threats. We have managed to free up uncountable hours as well as relieve stress from our security manager

  ### 20. Safe, Reliable and Satisfied

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Compliance reporting for MS defender settings makes it easy to configure endpoints and view which ones are non-compliant.
Host isolation giving us the ability to isolate a specific device altogether on the network if suspecting a potential breach.

Easy to install onto endpoint using CW and Intune making it easy for us to intergrate for new customers.

Customer support is always prompt and great service, I have contacted them a few times now and got fixes the same day usually within the hour.

It's become a staple in our day to day.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Having more ability to enable windows defender when previous AV's have disabled and put in policies, not really a Huntress fault but would be nice if it had more potential configuration in that aspect.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

24/7 monitoring office 365 and endpoints
Constant monitoring and realtime alerts means that we can leave the office at the end of the day and feel more secure with the support of Huntress.

**Official Response from Tayler Blanc:**

> Hi Ryan! Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Huntress Managed EDR. We're glad our solution has become a staple in your day-to-day operations. We appreciate your feedback on the ease of installation, prompt customer support, and the benefits of 24/7 monitoring. Please contact our team if you ever have any questions!

  ### 21. Oustanding MDR solution and fantastic support staff.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael M. | Chief Security Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress offers an outstanding product in their MDR Service that can significantly improve any security operation.

Ease of Deployment:
•	Huntress is easy to implement and operate, with little required maintenance.
•	It is also easy to integrate with RMM platforms or other deployment systems.

Intuitive:
•	The web interface is easy to understand and use, making administration simple and providing quality visibility into threats and environments.

Detections that Others Missed:
•	Huntress provides reliable threat hunting of Advanced Persistent Threats [APTs], which many solutions miss, protecting environments from hidden future threats in ways that many EDRs can’t.

Reliable and Actionable Reporting:
•	The incident reports and instructions provided by Huntress have proven invaluable in saving staff time in the resolution of security incidents and post incident reviews.
•	The rate of false positives is very low, saving additional time for support staff.
•	Additionally, the automated host isolation and remediation features ensure that incidents are contained before they can spread or cause additional damage.

Fantastic Support Staff:
•	The support staff at Huntress are very knowledgeable and always willing to go above and beyond in providing support, answering questions, and providing direction in best steps during an incident investigation.
Overall, a fantastic product and company that I would recommend to any company looking for a high quality MDR.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

We have found now downsides in our time with Huntress.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing a budget friendly, reliable, MDR solution capable of identifying and eliminating APTs.

  ### 22. Huntress takes our MSP to the next level and impresses our clients

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Collin R. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

We've been using Huntress since the start of our MSP to help protect our clients. They've grown a lot over the years and have added some great functionality and features to their platform. From EDR, persistence foothold detection, process insights and ransomware canaries they have a nice spread of basic protections at a good value. They also offer MDR for M365 and security awareness training courses for clients at an additional cost.

Management is very easy and they've improved their web portal UI a lot making it easier to use. Installation is also very easy with support for manual or automated installation.

We have had a few incidences over the years and Huntress was quick to respond and gave us straight-to-the-point data on the different security events. We have even had some of our customers mention how impressed they were with Huntress and we think that says a lot.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

If there is one thing to fault Huntress on it's not their product or support but rather their pricing model. They changed their minimum endpoint requirements on their new plans making the barrier to entry more difficult for newly formed MSPs.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress is providing us with a reasonably priced SOC solution that helps keep our MSP focused on other tasks and offers our clients a nice spread of security coverage with accurate rapid response.

  ### 23. Yes - I would recommend Huntress to a friend or colleague.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Craig C. | Tech, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

My overall favorite feature is that Mass Deployment is as simple as grabbing one of their scripts, and deploying it our via an RMM/MDM of your choice - either with Mac or Windows! The scripts themselves have always been functional, and straightforward to configure.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I think my biggest disappointment/greatest dislike, is that Huntress does not provide an MSI for super easy Intune deployment. I work with a lot of clients, many of which have intune, and while the script deployment works great under the scripts section, I would prefer to be able to deploy via an MSI that automatically downloads the latest version, so that I can visualize which devices actually have Huntress installed. It's not a big deal, just a preference.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress is helping us solve/cover areas of security not managed by our anti-virus. It'll catch something as simple as a bad cookie from a sketchy site!
I think it is also important to mention that their product has been rock solid and while I'm sure I have reached out to their support for something, I can't recall at all. That tells me a few things - their system is configured well enough to not need me to reach out for bugs, issues, etc, often enough for me to recall, and, if I ever have reached out, it means that I've only ever had good experiences as I remember when I don't!

  ### 24. Huntress helps us sleep better

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mir C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress is an extra layer in the security of our clients. The portal is easy to use, the agent easy to deploy (scripts/RMM/GPO/Intune) and most important it has a very light footprint. Since we started using Huntress a year ago we have had several cases where our previous solution missed the malware and one case that would have been a big incident if the guys at Huntress did not intervene and isolate the host. The native integration with Microsoft Defender is also a great selling point for us.

I'd also like to give a shout to our AM Justin, he always fast to respond and tries to help where possible.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

For now the only "problem" we found was that it is not possible to translate the reports that are generated. It would be great to have them presented in other languages (French/Dutch)

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for an EDR solution that is:

-Easy to use
-Easy to deploy
-Easy to learn
-Lightweight
-Does not generate false positives or noise

Huntress has delivered on these expectations , no doubt.

  ### 25. Huntress EDR keeps our clients safe, and I can rely on its accuracy.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress EDR gives you a clear understanding of identified threats and clear remediation steps. I love the features that are packed in the product and it has helped us get ahead of possible threats before they got out of hand. Integration and deployment is simple and it gives us extra confidence in our security stack.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

It sounds cliche but with my time with the tool there is nothing negative that stands out to me or that I think its lacking in features. I would say Agents can go stale often but with them being automatically re-installed its not a big problem, also not 100% certain if thats even a huntress issue.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress has shut down several potential incidents such as clients downloading remote tools for vendors that were not authorized, or even clients interacting with potential threat actors. We have seen endpoints get completely quarantined from the network and not a single time has it been a false positive. Huntress also gives us a clear path for removing unwanted software and footholds and seemingly catches things our other EDR/NGAV does not catch.

  ### 26. Huntress

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The best part about Huntress EDR is the people. Other products do about as well, but the human element of Huntress provides a level of insight to the security package that makes the product easy to maintain, eliminates (or at least heavily reduces) false positives, and organizes security incidents so that you can actually respond effectively. I have tried several EDR products, and the detection from Huntress is as good, if not better than the other products on the market. When incidents occur, I get a call from them very quickly and they help to remediate the issue, and when needed they have even helped in explaining the incident to my client. It's always a challenge bridging the gap between technical employees and non-technical business owners, so it is so great to get that explanation from the source instead of some "advanced AI" that doesn't sound human. Huntress also is very active in the community and very regularly hosts webinars and publishes blog posts discussing major cybersecurity incidents, keeping you in the know of everything going on in the digital space.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress Managed EDR does not have a lot of downsides, but one is that it uses Windows Defender as it's base for detections, which is not a problem in of itself, but it does mean that it might not play nicely with other AV products. It also is not a one-stop solution, they focus on what they know and they do that well. If you are looking for one product to just be "plug-and-play" this is not it. This is not a complaint, but it is always good to know the limits of a product.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress is our fully managed antivirus solution, which is needed for our clients in many compliancy regulations.

**Official Response from Tayler Blanc:**

> Thank you for the review here, we appreciate you taking the time out of your day to provide us with feedback!

Just wanted to touch on the point around Windows Defender being how we base our Detections, while we do indeed have our Managed AntiVirus feature, allowing us to add our SOC to Windows inbuilt Defender, that's not how we capture data for our EDR, we utilize our own EDR Agent that sits on the machine sending us data and telemetry to run through our Detectors and send over to our SOC - it's a common theme that this isn't the most easily understood part of our solution and something we are addressing. We do appreciate you bringing it up, as it adds validity to that understanding.

If you'd like to discuss this further to understand better the Huntress Managed EDR Process, please reach out to your Account Manager.

  ### 27. The SOC in your pocket…

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

What I like best about Huntress Managed EDR is that it’s a fully managed and monitored service that takes care of the endpoint security for me. I don’t have to worry about analyzing alerts, investigating incidents, or fixing issues. Huntress does it all for me, and they do it fast and well. 😎

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

What I dislike about Huntress Managed EDR is that it’s married to Defender. Should we wish to deploy a different AV layer, it's blind to it.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress Managed EDR is solving the problem of endpoint security for MSPs like me. It’s benefitting me by saving me time, money, and headaches. I don’t have to invest in expensive hardware, software, or staff to monitor and protect my clients’ endpoints. Huntress does it for me, and they do it better than I could. 😁 We tried Defender for Endpoint and while it's extremely well featured, it takes a full time employee just to watch and manage it.

  ### 28. Active insights and proactive remediations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Having the SOC allows for less intervention from the support desk who are more valuable managing customer queries opposed to security alerts

easy deployment via installer or script

support team are very good and quick to answer/resolve queries

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Interface can be jumpy when switching between organisations

the MACos deployment is tricky due to different security extensions requiring individual permissions on the endpoint

I would expect some applicaiton vulnerability reporting to be added in the future however right now it is not available

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Less intervention required from the tech support desk reagrding security alerts and remediation tasks required as it is automated or actioned on request

  ### 29. Makes my life very easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hasan C. | Senior service Desk Specialist , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Canaries, Process Insights, best is most threats are evaluated and mitigated with ease.
Very easy to integrate with Connectwise Manage, so implementaion is a breeze.
Besides Huntress sending tickets. I get the tickets I want generated directly in ticketing system.
Their customer service is stellar, get responses within 15 mins every time.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Takes a little time to get used to the interface and understand how to evaluate issues.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its taking away the time I spend to see if a threat is real or not and how to mitigate it as those answers are readily available with each incident.
It gives me and my clients peace of mind that we are protected 24x7 in more ways then 1.

  ### 30. Amazing Product & Team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Managed EDR has saved our MSP time and money. We struggled to find a managed solution at the same level as Huntress.

The team, specifically Sean Stitt and Dylan Reyes have been super helpful in our queries and the product is improving.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

We haven't found any. Possibly that the agent works best with Defender for Endpoint. It'd be great to implement better with other products.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding a cost effective solution with a good understanding of our region was hard. Barracuda was fine, but was not able to adjust to our timezones in all areas.

Huntress solved that for us. The team were able to get timezones all correct without requesting.

  ### 31. Top notch EDR

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Detections are faster that our SIEM solution - Adlum, and support is top notch. If anything, support has been a step above anything we've used.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

None at all. We've been with this EDR solution for about a month, and really all top notch.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Giving our clients an additional level of security and allows us to generate additional revenue

  ### 32. Unique threat hunting software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress catches threats better than any other software.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I think the reporting could be more detailed. We only get to see the confirmed threats, not anything above that in the threat funnel.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Endpoint protection for our clients

  ### 33. Threat Management for MSPs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jimmy N. | Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

What we like best about Huntress EDR is that it's super easy to implement, use and manage. The Huntress team notify of any actionable threats, which really frees up our team's resources and time.
Their customer support is also very quick and friendly.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

There's not much to dislike about Huntress EDR, unless you like to see everything that is processed or like to have more control of settings.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress allows our small MSP to focus more on growing instead of constantly checking logs and threats.

  ### 34. Always available to help.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The fact their support team is so great. They are always on hand to assist.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Sometimes the lack of features can be a pain but they take the feedback and implement it shortly after for every issue I've had.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitors all endpoints perfectly for us along with login alerts. Saving a lot of time.

  ### 35. Great product - Highly recommend

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

It is easy to use, customer support is great. Deployment was a breeze. Integrates very well with M365

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Does not manage Windows Defender Firewalls.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is lowering our cost by not duplicating services we already have. i.e. Windows Defender.

  ### 36. Impressed with Huntress Staff, Setup, and Capabilities

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

That it has actual people reviewing data.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

None, so far. Seems to do everything as promised.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding threat issues/actors that have not been stopped by traditional A/V and/or Threatlocker.

  ### 37. Easy peace of mind.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve S. | Project Management Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Well priced, with a peace of mind someone is watching. Easy to use. lots of new features and updates coming.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

No deep integration other than with Microsoft Defender, can not pull from SentinelOne.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress, Monitors ends point for supicious activity and will email you alerting you if somthing supicious is dected. What makes them defferent is, Huntress has a human review the data before it is sent over to you.

  ### 38. Huntress is a must-have for any security portfolio

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Russell Q. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Reporting is really good, great for reviewing with non-technical clients.
Huntress has improved their product multiple times over the years, mostly without raising rates or introducing new products at a cost.
We've had this product find breaches when other SOC/SIEM solutions did not.
The Huntress analysts provide a thorough after-action summary if you request it.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

None so far. We're happy with the product.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Protects our clients systems from ransomware (proven) and unknown threats (proven). We've seen incidents of both where Huntress saved the day. Huntress has even alerted us to 0 day vulnerabilities and given us guidance on how to mitigate it.

  ### 39. Huntress is a core product in our security stack. Detecting threats before other products do

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress uses a different approach then most competitors. They initially focused solely on foothold detection. They would hunt for evidence of a compromise rather than focus on blocking it. We found this to detect threats that other premium EDR solutions didn't. They have since branched into the threat blocking and process monitoring space as well. Highly recommend.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The interface is somewhat limited compared to other products. You are essentially outsourcing the IT monitoring to their team and have limited visibility into the data. That said, it's exceeded my expectations in actual results so this isn't a deal breaker.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It detects threads before our other (more expensive) security layers do.

  ### 40. A valuable adjunct to anti-virus software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Although I haven't seen this feature spring into action yet (it hasn't needed to), the number one feature in my mind is the ransomware canaries.

As an MSP, being able to centrally manage exclusions across our entire client base is also a huge benefit.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

It's missing some features found in competitors' products, such as vulnerability scanning, but we've seen Huntress add new features over time, such as the detection of potentially unsecured credentials stored in files.

**Recommendations to others considering Huntress Managed EDR:**

Huntress is a fantastic value-add for managed service providers and once implemented, it requires very little admin time.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our service desk is only staffed Monday to Friday from 7am to 10pm, so knowing that Huntress is operating 24/7 to investigate and remediate security threats provides huge peace of mind.

I also love how Huntress essentially turns the free Microsoft Defender software into an enterprise-grade solution, by providing centralised configuration, monitoring and reporting.

  ### 41. Great EDR, but no Linux support

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bryan C. | IT Technician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I like that it protects our clients and is very good at catching malware and Cyber Security threats. It's easy to install and deploy to our client's machines. I have not dealt with customer support personally, but I have heard good things. We use this daily to monitor our clients and it's deployed on all new machines. It integrates very nicely with our RMM Ninja.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

No Linux client or support and seemingly no plans to support Linux in the future. I can't protect my business laptop because of this.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Protecting our secutiry and relieving the anxiety that comes from today's hacking and ransonware epidemic.

  ### 42. Rapid Identification of Issues and Responsive Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

We are using MDR for Microsoft 365. The system identified two suspicious activities in the first hour of the trial. We wanted to mark these as legitimate behaviour, but it wasn't clear how. We contacted support who assisted us within 5 minutes. Very helpful. A third activity/config was flagged, and this one we agreed was a sub optimal (but thankfully not malicious) config so we allowed Huntress to perform automated remediation, which was completed promptly.

The incident alerts made sense to me in relatively layman's terms.

Support is responsive. Detection is impressive.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

It wasn't obvious how to mark as suspicious activity as legitimate.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are trialling both Managed EDR and MDR for Microsoft 365.

Huntress takes the guessing away from incidents and reports sub-optimal configurations and events that we were not preivously aware of.

Constant webinars and lessons to inform consumers

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I dislike that there aren't any informative sessions for huntress.
I feel like it would be beneficial to have an informative session explaining what huntress is, how it accomplishes the things it does, and why it towers over competitors!

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress is our MDR and it allows us to automate things that would otherwise take time out of our day to fix.
It benefits us by having a pro approach and delivering

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This product allows us to provide adequate cybersecurity protection to our clients with backup to our team so that if something happens Huntress will alert us.

Like with many products that are well tuned, it is often difficult to tell if it's working well due to a lack of "proof".
Huntress helps mitigate this with client-facing reports that show details of clean scans.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unified and standardized configuration of Microsoft Defender.
A partner, someone in our corner when the worst happens, a very engaged team interested in keeping everyone safe.
