I works OK and does provide great visability. I do really like the user interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Inconsistancy with the team that supports our organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The UI is excellent and very searchable. You do not need a training overview to find information quickly. This makes it easy for a non technical stakeholder to review information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have had issues with onboarding and struggled to tune the policies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
HUMAN Bot Defender offers wide range of advance security features, user friendly interface backed by exceptional customer service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Despite its user-friendly interface, the range of features and customization options might be overwhelming for less tech-competent users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Strong bot detection and mitigation with robust customization

- Great enterprise support
- Multiple integration and implementation methods Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Dashboard can sometimes take some time to load over large datasets Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's nice and simple to integrate the sensor and once that's in, the handoff to HUMAN to manage bots is seamless. Bot Defender does a great job of protecting us against potentially harmful spikes and their team will give us a full report after the fact, breaking down what happened.
The fact that the team are always on hand and available to look into issues is also a massive bonus. We can reach out via chat channels and have a ticket logged and assigned immediately.
The web UI, once you get to grips with it, is really quite intuitive and provides many options to find exactly what you're after. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The UI could take some getting used to for new users and once you get the hang of it you may wish there was just one extra filter to really get the information you were looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would highlight two main strong points for HUMAN Bot Defender:
- Anti-bot technology is effective and reliable. On top of this they have managed known bots/crawlers lists automatically updated so that the customer only has to choose to accept or block.
- Support service is very responsive and solves all our requests quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have HUMAN Bot Defender as managed service, this means that there is a big part of the product that the customer does not have visibility. However, customer can always ask for what is needed and support folks will bring an answer for that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It seems to work - we see less bot traffic actually hitting the server on endpoints protected by PX than those that are not.
Developer support is responsive. We appreciate being able to get an engineer on zoom to help with a production issue.
Integration into our existing system is a plus. Also appreciate getting help with custom VCL for our integration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Non-native challenge UI gives app users the impression that the rest of the app is also a webview.
SDK doesn't seem to leverage native APIs like iOS Automatic Verification to automatically confirm challenges without presenting a UI to the user
App users occasionally leave negative reviews after not being able to get past challenges. Reproducing or debugging this issue is impossible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
HUMAN bot Defender solves two problems: stops content scraping and lower IVT hitting ad stack. HUMAN has provided an exemplary service footprint, making ample resounces available to us as we implemented and then fine tuned the implementation. They have shipped numerous product features and enhancements based on our feedback and roadblocks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
HUMAN was not easy to implement, although, to be fair, we chose to do all of the work ourselves, CDN codewise. HUMAN's product was not ready for our media-centric use case at first but has made strides since.
also, there was not a good method for measuring the metric used to calculate the costs on the contract so we ended up overbuying in the first pay period, wasting money.
Finally, I wish the reporting went back further than 2 weeks. 3 months of data would be much better feature. Ingesting this data into our warehouse is expensive and hard to prove the worth of when there aren't fire drills. When there are fire drills, we want to be able to look further back. The Human Security team is truly an extension of our own SOC, identifying issues and responding to changing tactics in the threat landscape. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The native portal UI is a bit clunky, but with the log export feature to our observability platform, I get all the data I need easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
