The support team is always prompt when it comes to new issues, every time we create a case we receive an initial response within minutes and support within the hour. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The dashboard is still a bit limited/basic. Having more options for creating security configurations would help, especially the ability to see the history of our changes (self-serve + HUMAN) long-term so that we can diagnose if recent changes are affecting our business. Bot defender continues to shield us from scripters, mitigating 90-95% of the issues, which is very helpful for our site stability team.
The integration was seamless on the web, but we ran into difficulty with native apps (native and react native). They quickly offered to collaborate with their developers, who were very helpful and either fixed issues on the spot on our side or quickly produced patches. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The user experience solving captchas is sub par. Sometimes they can come in succession and seem unnecessarily repetative sometimes. We are keeping fingers crossed that 3.0 version will be an improvement, and so far, a few weeks in, it appears to be! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We benefited from the intelligent blocking that the bot defender provided; it saved us countless hours of battling bots attempting carding attacks on our site. More so, however, the support from the team has been outstanding. Most companies have a static ticketing system where you create a ticket and hope it gets resolved. With HUMAN Bot Defender, the support is run through Slack, allowing quick responses and communication to get issues resolved quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only issue we have had is when our site switched to being a PWA we found out that the bot defender wasn't the most compatible. However, This changed with the latest defender code, and the support team has been vital in upgrading us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The product is built with the customer in mind and provides good visibility across the traffic and investigation tools. Customer support is skilled engineers that understand the need and all technical aspects and available 24/7. The customer success team is responsive and interested in providing the best result for a customer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As bot attacks are more and more tailored services rather than just automated attacks, sometimes they can find a soft spot and pass through. Still, the engineers at Humnan pick it up quickly and stop it promptly, proposing improvements to prevent it in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface is incredible smooth with full drill down to achieve granular analytics of incidents and bots. It is not complicated to manage and enough datapoints are collected to aid in forensic analysis.
Backend implementation is well integrated into systems and accuracy is high even after trying to evade its detection. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Forensic templats would help to perform various "standard" analysis and customization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've been using Human Security Bot Management for a few months now, and I'm very impressed with it. The dashboard is beautiful and easy to use, and the bot detection and mitigation capabilities are top-notch.
I was particularly impressed with Human Security's ability to catch sophisticated bots. I had a few bots that were able to bypass my previous bot management solution, but Human Security was able to block them without any problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Due to the team being in a different timezone than our company, it can occasionally be challenging to reach them during our designated business hours Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Bot Defender provides at least a single order of magnitude (often better) protection for inbound HTTP traffic compared to any cloud native or commercially available web application firewall (WAF). WAFs provide good protection, but a WAF is not enough edge protection for your platform origin if it is your single edge control. You need a bot defence capability and Bot Defender is world class.
- The ability to implement the inbound traffic check as far away from the platform origin as possible is appealing as it prevents your downstream service components from wasting CPU cycles handling unwanted HTTP traffic.
- The ability to leverage custom parameters and populate those with attributes of an inbound HTTP request enables the creation of finer-grained security rules to control traffic cohorts in meaningful ways.
- Credential Intelligence adds a critical security protection for traffic that hits your authentication API endpoint. 90%+ of all bad actor traffic will target this endpoint on your platform, and whilst Bot Defender will block the lion's share of it, Credential Intelligence provides the ability to know if the credentials presented for authentication are known, by Human Security, to be breached, and in use elsewhere on the internet as part of a credential stuffing attack. This check is performed in single-digit milliseconds and in a fail-open way that does not expose the credentials themselves. For sure, Credential Intelligence will protect your customer accounts from unwanted account takeover. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- With a bot defence solution like Bot Defender, you need to spend time baking an SDK into your front-end clients. This SDK will handle the use case when valid customer traffic is erroneously caught by Bot Defender. Customers will need a mechanism by which they can exonerate themselves. There is an up-front development cost to getting Bot Defender active, but this is worth it.
- The console rules are easily speficied in the administration console, but it would be super cool if these could be captured as infrastructure-as-code. This would enable a GitOps pipeline where change would be governed by pull request, and auditing change would become really straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Human's bot defender product is a well and truly state-of-the-art system that provides excellent protection against malicious automated tools that bot operators use for email list validation, credential stuffing and checkout fraud.
The combined system of client-side device fingerprinting along with the server-side or load balancer integration is superb at detecting and mitigating new attacks in seconds.
I also highly recommend going with the SOC team add-on if you can as the team there is very well-organised and provide an excellent service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If you have a complicated ecosystem of web and mobile apps that consume your API from multiple places ... rolling out the client-side device fingerprinting JS libraries can become complicated, but is well worth it in the end.
The admin console and web UI are very responsive too but could do with a few more filters to really drill down into the details of the web traffic if you are an advanced threat hunter.
I would also like to see the dashboard data ingestion time lag reduced if they can do that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It just works. We have a small team and it hasn't taken up alot of our time to keep things running. The support staff has also been great. any time we needed assistance they are very quick to respond take care of any concerns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I haven't seen or been made aware of any downsides or concerns. Support has been great and our account team stays engaged with us to ensure we don't have any obstacles to being successful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The product deployment is straightforward and is supported on multiple types of infrastructure. This makes it easy to decide how it best fits your organization.
The dashboards and reporting are fast and detailed, making it easy to find what you need for an investigation or metrics for leadership.
The Human Challenge is a game changer and is much more user-friendly than a traditional CAPTCHA. This challenge option gave us confidence when deploying the solution knowing users would have a straightforward way to solve a challenge themselves if blocked.
Support is also fantastic and just an instant message away. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some specific data you may want to investigate over a long period may not be available directly in the UI. However, support has been great in assisting with any questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
