"Efficient Time Tracking with Seamless Client Collaboration"
4/5
What do you like best about Hubstaff?

I really appreciate that Hubstaff is very easy to navigate, even for someone who isn't deeply technical. Tracking time requires minimal effort, and it runs quietly in the background without interrupting workflow. This simplicity is especially valuable for long projects where accurate time management directly affects payment and accountability. Another major advantage for me is the transparency Hubstaff creates between the client and the worker. It records work sessions and activity accurately, establishing a smooth connection. The payment structure is reassuring as tracked hours are accurately recorded, so compensation feels fair and properly aligned with the actual work completed. Additionally, I've been paid more through Hubstaff than with any other time tracking platform. It automates processes, which reduces confusion around manually logging hours. The customer support has also been consistently responsive, whether it involved Hubstaff itself or client-related issues. The support team is active and resolves problems quickly, which makes a noticeable difference when deadlines are involved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hubstaff?

I'd say the platform is highly functional, but there are still areas that can feel a little restrictive. Since Hubstaff focuses actively on tracking, it can occasionally feel overly monitored during creative or research-oriented tasks where productivity is not always reflected. Another limitation I've experienced is that the desktop application sometimes feels more central to the experience than the web version. Certain features work more smoothly through the installed app, which may not always be convenient for users like me who are switching between multiple devices, like my phone and laptop. Additionally, for first-time users, some of the tracking settings and permissions can seem intrusive until they understand how the system works. There are also occasional syncing or session-related issues where timers may need to be manually checked, especially during unstable Internet connections. Though not frequent, these interruptions can create minor inconveniences during continuous work sessions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-in-One Solution for Remote Employee Management"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Hubstaff?

I like the time tracking and schedule setting features of Hubstaff. It allows me to see who is off or working, and shows their payment information. As an HR person in a remote environment with employees all over the globe, it's helpful to understand who works when and how productive they are. The time tracking feature lets us know work details, and employees can view their shift times and off days. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hubstaff?

I don't like that there's a feature allowing employees to change or blur screenshots. This shouldn't be allowed as it can lead to employees misusing it. Also, it was a bit difficult to get everyone to use it initially. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Hubstaff?

Easy to log in and easily Automated payroll that calculates hours and pays your team through Wise or PayPal instantly.

Geofencing capabilities that automatically clock field workers in and out as they enter job sites.

Customizable transparency via screenshots and activity levels that can be blurred for privacy.

Seamless integrations with 30+ tools like Jira and Asana to keep your workflow unified.

Budgeting alerts that warn you before projects go over-scope, saving you from unexpected costs.track your time in Hubstaff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hubstaff?

The invasive nature of screenshots and activity tracking can feel like "spyware," which often erodes employee trust and damages company culture.

Activity percentages only track mouse and keyboard movement, which unfairly penalizes roles that require deep thinking, reading, or offline collaboration.

Many essential tools—like automated payroll and scheduling—are locked behind the most expensive tiers, making the cost add up quickly for growing teams.

App: The mobile version is surprisingly "bare-bones," lacking critical management functions like the ability to approve timesheets or handle time-off requests on the go.

Users still report occasional bugs where the timer fails to sync properly or projects vanish, leading to annoying manual corrections and disputes over hours.g when I’m trying to find the time I worked. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Work Tracking and Transparency with Hubstaff Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about Hubstaff?

Recently, I’ve appreciated the improved reporting dashboards and better timesheet accuracy. The automated weekly reports save time, and the activity tracking feels more optimized than before. Integration with project management tools has also become smoother, making workflow tracking more centralized and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hubstaff?

While the performance has improved, the screenshot monitoring feature can still feel slightly intrusive for some team members. Adding more flexible privacy controls and lightweight background tracking options would enhance user comfort. Additionally, reducing desktop app resource usage further would make it even better for lower-spec systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Hubstaff?

2 different paid add-ons were added to my account without me ever clicking the button, requesting my authorization, or even sending me an email notification that my bill was changing. I was overcharged for 2 years for a feature I was not using and they refused to refund. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
