## Hubstaff Reviews
  ### 1. Hubstaff Time Tracking – Experienced User

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Hubstaff?**

I like that Hubstaff allows me to accurately track my work hours while staying organized across tasks and projects. Its automatic time tracking, clear activity monitoring, and simple interface make it easy to stay focused and maintain accountability. It also provides transparent reporting, which helps ensure accurate billing and builds trust with clients in a remote work setup.

**What do you dislike about Hubstaff?**

I dislike that Hubstaff can feel a bit intrusive at times due to features like periodic screenshots and activity monitoring. It may also be overly sensitive to short breaks or low keyboard/mouse activity, which can sometimes affect reported productivity even when work is still being done.

**What problems is Hubstaff solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hubstaff solves key problems related to time tracking, accountability, and work transparency in a remote setup.

It helps ensure that my working hours are accurately recorded, which eliminates manual timekeeping and reduces errors in billing. The activity tracking and reporting features also help maintain productivity awareness and make it easier to stay focused on assigned tasks.

As a result, I benefit from having a clear record of my work, smoother communication with clients regarding logged hours, and increased trust and transparency in my role as a remote Billing Coordinator and Medical Biller.

  ### 2. User-Friendly Time Tracking with a Clear, Helpful Timesheet View

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miroslava G. | Data Annotator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Hubstaff?**

I really enjoy using Hubstaff. What I appreciate most is the ability to clearly separate my reviewer time from my trainer time within the app, which makes tracking my work much more accurate. The platform is very user-friendly, and I particularly like the timesheet view where I can easily see the hours I’ve worked each week. It makes monitoring my time simple, clear, and efficient.

**What do you dislike about Hubstaff?**

I honestly don't have anything I dislike about Hubstaff.

**What problems is Hubstaff solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me keep accurate records of the hours I work, especially when switching between multiple tasks. I also appreciate being able to separate reviewer tasks from expert timing, which gives me a clear and organized view of how my time is spent.

  ### 3. Effortless Time Tracking with Minor Improvements Needed

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ansum R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Hubstaff?**

I love that Hubstaff lets me have separate time trackers according to projects which saves me the hassle of noting down different times for different projects. Just one click is all I need. The initial setup was pretty easy, with every step quite easy to understand.

**What do you dislike about Hubstaff?**

I think we should have an option to modify the upper limit as per our availability. Hubstaff doesn't let me track more time if my upper limit is 50 hours a week and I go over that. I would like an option of Overtime watch, other than main projects, to keep a track of all the time worked over the base limits.

**What problems is Hubstaff solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hubstaff prevents me from worrying about tracking multiple projects daily by providing separate time trackers for each project, saving me the hassle of manual tracking with just one click.

I switched from a less organized system, and Hubstaff has improved accuracy and saved me time. The initial setup was easy and smooth.

**What do you like best about Hubstaff?**

I like being able to set up geofencing and having all of the time logs and reporting in one clean spot. Hubstaff allows me to focus on things other than tracking the team because it flags the moments that I need to see, so I'm not looking through reports aimlessly. Switching to Hubstaff from Motiv was beneficial because it is an all-in-one solution that is much less complicated. The setup of Hubstaff was extremely easy.

  ### 18. Productivity tracking has never been this easy!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Herald Johnn C. | Executive Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

I also appreciate being able to see my tasks and progress clearly, which keeps me on track, and the flexibility to work from anywhere makes collaborating with my team seamless and stress-free.

**What do you dislike about Hubstaff?**

What I dislike about Hubstaff is that when I mark a task as completed or tag it, the main timer automatically stops. Sometimes when I’m busy, I forget to restart it, so it stays paused, which can be a little inconvenient. Otherwise, it’s very helpful for staying organized and productive.

**What problems is Hubstaff solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hubstaff solves the problem of keeping track of time and tasks in a busy workday. ### 19. Been the best experience so far. Super reliable.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail

**What do you like best about Hubstaff?**

What I like best about Hubstaff is how it combines time tracking, productivity monitoring, and team management into one easy-to-use platform. It gives clear visibility into how time is spent without being overly complicated, which helps improve accountability and efficiency across the team. Overall, Hubstaff creates a balanced system where productivity, transparency, and organization work seamlessly together.

**What do you dislike about Hubstaff?**

One thing I dislike about Hubstaff is that its activity monitoring features can sometimes feel too intrusive, especially for team members who value privacy while working. The screenshot capture and activity tracking, although helpful for accountability, may create pressure rather than motivation if not implemented thoughtfully. Additionally, occasional syncing delays or minor technical glitches can affect the accuracy of tracked time, which may require manual adjustments. While it’s a powerful tool overall, balancing transparency with trust is something that could be improved.

**What problems is Hubstaff solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This benefits me by saving time on manual tracking, improving team visibility, and helping maintain consistent performance standards while keeping projects on schedule.

I can easily switch and tag using the Chrome extension, and if I've used it incorrectly on the wrong page, I can easily switch.

There are some specific reports that are difficult for me to get, and I have to piece together manually. It would be helpful to be able to pull those specific reports.

I appreciate how easy Hubstaff is to use. The time card feature is interesting and pretty accurate. It didn't just track time but also detected if I was 'wasting time,' 'writing normally,' or 'engaging with the content,' which helped me stay proactive. I also find the initial setup of Hubstaff to be pretty easy. It helped me work independently by tracking my time in a remote project, and I could leave notes for my supervisor to see if I was taking too long with a task.

**What do you dislike about Hubstaff?**

How the projects disappear at times. I wish there was a feature to contact the employer when something goes wrong.

I believe Hubstaff makes everything so much more straightforward and a lot easier to track. It gives me a lot of confidence using the platform. I like how very user-friendly Hubstaff is, particularly their UX and UI. The website design is very simple and it helps me keep track of my activity very easily. I think that maybe the interface can be a little bit more user-friendly. I know that some of the features are very management-friendly, but in terms of the general everyday user, people that are on the other side of the project, like the taskers, or end users, I would like to see certain features accessible to them that I think Hubstaff should make available.

**What do you like best about Hubstaff?**

What I like best about Hubstaff is its transparency and productivity tracking system. It helps both employees and employers monitor work hours accurately, track tasks efficiently, and maintain accountability. The time-tracking feature ensures fair payment, while activity reports help improve performance and time management.

Overall, it creates a structured and professional work environment, especially for remote teams.

**What do you dislike about Hubstaff?**

One thing I dislike about Hubstaff is that constant activity monitoring and screenshots can sometimes feel stressful or reduce comfort while working. It may create pressure, especially when doing research or reading tasks that require less mouse or keyboard activity. However, I understand that these features are important for transparency and accountability in remote work environments.

  ### 27. Transparent Time Tracking and Management

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Trijita G. | Data partner , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Hubstaff?**

The biggest advantage for me is the ability to add specific projects to my dashboard and accurately measure the time spent on each one. It keeps everything organized and ensures that the hours I log are precise and structured. I also really appreciate the transparency. Both I and my client can clearly see the tracked hours. Compared to tracking time directly through a client’s internal system, Hubstaff feels more neutral and transparent. It reduces confusion around billing and eliminates back-and-forth discussions about logged time

**What do you dislike about Hubstaff?**

One limitation is that you can only be part of one organization at a time, which can be restrictive if you’re working with multiple clients or teams. Additionally, account creation and adding projects can occasionally lag. There have been instances where setup wasn’t seamless and required reaching out to support, which slows things down.

**What problems is Hubstaff solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hubstaff solves the problem of unclear work-hour tracking and billing disputes, especially in remote or client-based work environments. Instead of manually reporting hours or relying on less transparent client-side systems, it provides verified, structured time logs that both parties can access. This benefits me by creating accountability and trust. I don’t have to justify my hours repeatedly, and clients can clearly see how much time was spent on each project. It also helps me manage my own productivity by showing exactly where my time is going, making it easier to plan and prioritize task

**What do you like best about Hubstaff?**

I use Hubstaff to track time spent on client projects and daily tasks, which helps me stay accountable and provides clear records of the hours worked. Hubstaff solves the challenges of monitoring project progress and employee work hours in one place. My favorite aspect of Hubstaff is the transparency it brings to remote work. The transparency features are valuable because they create better accountability within the team. Additionally, Hubstaff provides reliable time tracking and helpful productivity insights. The initial setup was very manageable; after creating a workspace, I quickly added projects.

**What do you dislike about Hubstaff?**

Hubstaff is very reliable for time tracking but the integration setup with some third party tools could be smoother.

**What problems is Hubstaff solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hubstaff to track time on clients' projects and daily tasks. It solves monitoring project progress and work hour challenges, making team accountability better with transparency and providing reliable time tracking and productivity insights.

**What do you dislike about Hubstaff?**

With so many tabs and applications open, it can sometimes be difficult to navigate.

**What problems is Hubstaff solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me connect more deeply with projects and collaborate with coworkers in other time zones. We can also work through payroll and other department issues together when troubleshooting.

  ### 31. Highly recommend Hubstaff for accurate time tracking and team management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Hubstaff?**

What I like best about Hubstaff is its accurate time tracking and activity monitoring features. The automatic screenshots and activity levels help ensure transparency and accountability for remote teams. The detailed reports make it easy to analyze productivity patterns and identify areas for improvement. The interface is intuitive and the desktop app runs smoothly without slowing down my computer.

**What do you dislike about Hubstaff?**

What I dislike about Hubstaff is that the constant monitoring can sometimes feel intrusive, even though I understand its purpose. The screenshot feature, while useful for accountability, can make team members feel like they're not trusted. Additionally, the pricing can become expensive as you scale up with more team members. The mobile app could also use some improvements in terms of functionality compared to the desktop version.

**What problems is Hubstaff solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hubstaff is solving our remote team accountability and productivity tracking challenges. Before using it, we struggled to understand how time was being allocated across projects and couldn't accurately bill clients for hours worked. Now, with Hubstaff's time tracking and activity monitoring features, we have clear visibility into team productivity, can provide accurate client invoices based on tracked time, and can identify workflow bottlenecks. This has improved our project profitability by approximately 25% and strengthened client trust through transparent, documented work hours.

  ### 32. Seems a good platform, let's see.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Hubstaff?**

The software is transparent, however, what bothers me is that they didn't package/distribute its tar ball for Linux, relying only on a bash file with another hardcoded .rar file. I'm having a headache trying to get it aligned. But I hope to succeed. Otherwise, the program is very interesting, and I think with the recent organizational and management changes, it has everything to grow more and more. Congratulations to the team.

**What do you dislike about Hubstaff?**

I perceive a certain chaos in the organization just by looking at the forum; people seem lost. The QMs are trying very hard to help everyone, and I understand. But you could make the tracking more flexible; the Chrome extension should solve this by default. These are tasks that demand time, attention, and dedication; it's tiring. A reputation system for candidates is crucial, but it has to be efficient. I confess that what's probably hindering the synchronization between the app and the project is the timezone, which I've already corrected.

Now, regarding suggestions, you could drastically improve your skills area. You require experts to train artificial intelligence models, without any guarantee. I'm happy for the opportunity, but I don't understand why the skills area isn't better utilized. Or maybe I'm not an expert enough to meet all the parameters the algorithm requires.

In the end, I'm happy for the opportunity.

**What problems is Hubstaff solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I hope the company will help me, and I, you, sincerely.

Regarding the product itself: I find it average. But it has immense potential.

  ### 33. Hubstaff: Excellent for Time Tracking and Team Management!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ivan P. | EU Deforestation regulation Analyst, Food & Beverages, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Hubstaff?**

As a new user, I'm already impressed by how intuitive and straightforward Hubstaff is for time tracking. It was incredibly easy to set up, and I quickly got the hang of tracking my hours and seeing my activity. The dashboard provides clear insights right away, which is a huge plus for staying organized.

**What do you dislike about Hubstaff?**

Since I'm still quite new to Hubstaff, I haven't encountered many significant downsides yet. Perhaps a slightly more prominent onboarding tour for all features could be helpful, but honestly, the tool is so user-friendly that it's been a non-issue. So far, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive!

**What problems is Hubstaff solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hubstaff is crucial for accurately tracking time spent on specialized AI review and training tasks for Scale.ai. It streamlines our payroll processes by providing precise data, significantly reducing administrative burden and ensuring fair compensation. The detailed insights into time allocation help us manage projects more efficiently and understand productivity for our AI initiatives

  ### 34. Hubstaff Keeps Things Running Smoothly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Hubstaff?**

The most valuable aspect of Hubstaff is its capacity to automate the entire process of time tracking, invoicing, and payroll for remote teams. The tool has the ability to integrate strict monitoring of the team’s activities (screenshots, activity levels) with automated financial processes, thus turning a tedious process into a single-click process.

**What do you dislike about Hubstaff?**

On the basis of user reviews and feedback, it can be said that Hubstaff is a very powerful, yet sometimes intrusive, tool for tracking remote and distributed teams. It is very effective in its ability to track time automatically and accurately but is often panned for being very expensive and restrictive in its tracking features.

**What problems is Hubstaff solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hubstaff is very effective in addressing the challenges of productivity, accountability, and workflow when it comes to remote, field, and distributed teams, as it offers accurate time tracking, activity monitoring, and automated workforce analysis. It gets rid of manual timesheets, points out bottlenecks, and optimizes workloads.

  ### 35. Hubstaff - A tracker you can trust

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Writing and Editing

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Hubstaff?**

I like that it updates in real time. The fact that you can work anytime, anywhere and it will update their servers in time worked and log activity during that time without being invasive.

**What do you dislike about Hubstaff?**

The fact that it can perform screenshot captures every 10 minutes, if applicable, possibly capturing personal correspondences in the process.

**What problems is Hubstaff solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making money. Currently, doing task driven work is something that usually gets comp'ed by task completion, not by time spent on each task. This allows you to get paid if you have an edge case that may require bringing in others to assist where, normally, those tasks would be either completed or not completed. So, you get paid on the amount of time it takes to complete the task rather than on whether the task is completed or not.

  ### 36. Very useful and good user experience with so much information.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Hubstaff?**

Hubstaff is very helpful for tracking time accurately and keeping projects organized. I like how easy it is to monitor hours worked, productivity levels, and task progress in real time. The automatic timesheets and activity tracking make payroll and reporting much simpler, saving administrative time. It also integrates well with project management tools, which helps streamline workflows and keep teams accountable, especially in remote environments.

**What do you dislike about Hubstaff?**

One downside of Hubstaff is that the activity monitoring (like screenshots and tracking) can feel intrusive at times and may impact employee morale. The interface can also take some time to get used to, particularly when managing multiple projects. Additionally, the pricing can be relatively high for small teams, and some advanced features are only available on higher-tier plans.

**What problems is Hubstaff solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hubstaff helps solve time tracking and productivity visibility challenges, especially when working across teams or remotely. It eliminates guesswork around hours worked by providing accurate, real-time tracking and automated timesheets. This improves accountability and ensures fair payroll processing. It also helps identify workflow inefficiencies by showing where time is being spent, allowing for better resource allocation and project planning. Overall, it saves administrative time, increases transparency, and helps keep projects on schedule and within budget.

  ### 37. It's good overall, I loke its UI features.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Hubstaff?**

What I like best about Hubstaff is its balance between deep productivity analytics and practical team management. It doesn’t just track time—it converts time data into actionable insights through activity levels, app/URL tracking, automated payroll, and project-based reporting.
For distributed or hybrid teams, this creates transparency without requiring constant manual supervision. The integrations (e.g., with project management and accounting tools) also make it operationally efficient rather than just a standalone time tracker.

**What do you dislike about Hubstaff?**

What I dislike about Hubstaff is that its monitoring features can sometimes feel overly intrusive—especially screenshot capture and activity tracking—if not implemented with strong transparency policies. While these features are designed for accountability, they can negatively impact team morale if employees perceive them as surveillance rather than performance optimization tools.
Additionally, its reporting customization can feel somewhat rigid for advanced analytics needs, and the UI—while functional—prioritizes data density over intuitive visual storytelling.

**What problems is Hubstaff solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hubstaff solves problems around inaccurate time tracking, lack of productivity visibility, and manual payroll management. It benefits me by providing accurate work-hour data, clear insight into how time is spent, and automated billing/payroll—making team management more transparent and efficient, especially for remote or distributed teams.

  ### 38. Amazing user flows

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Hubstaff?**

I really appreciate how accurate the time tracking is and how the detailed reports help us understand where the team is spending the most hours. The interface is very intuitive and the desktop app runs smoothly in the background without affecting computer performance during my daily workflow. The integration with other project management tools is excellent, allowing time spent on specific tasks to sync automatically, which saves a lot of manual work.

**What do you dislike about Hubstaff?**

Sometimes the screenshot feature and activity monitoring can feel a bit invasive, which might create some discomfort regarding individual privacy for the team. The initial configuration for budget limits and project permissions could be a bit simpler, as there are many options that can be confusing at first. The subscription cost for larger teams is a bit high compared to some competitors, especially for small businesses that are just starting to scale.

**What problems is Hubstaff solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For this final field, you need to explain the practical impact Hubstaff has on your daily business operations. Since these forms often have a minimum character count, I've drafted three different "angles" you can use:

Option 1: Remote Team Accountability (Focus on Trust)
"Hubstaff solves the challenge of managing a distributed team by providing transparent proof of work. It benefits me by replacing constant 'check-ins' with automated activity data, allowing me to trust that my remote employees are staying productive without needing to micromanage them

  ### 39. Reliable Time Tracker with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucas K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Hubstaff?**

I like that Hubstaff works as intended by accounting the hours with a simple click on 'play' and shows the amount worked per day, week, month, or selected period. It's pretty easy to set up too.

**What do you dislike about Hubstaff?**

When clicking 'play' or 'stop' or when staying for too long not using keyboard/mouse, it used to give pop-up messages right on the desktop to reinforce what just happened (resuming timing/stopped timing/you were X hours away). But now it doesn't pop up anymore, and I didn't do any changes to it or my computer.

**What problems is Hubstaff solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hubstaff accounts working hours accurately by clicking play, showing the amount worked per day/week/month or selected period.

  ### 40. Effortless Accountability for Remote Teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rahul c. | Senior System Adminstrator, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Hubstaff?**

From my perspective, the desktop app is easy to use, and the integration of timesheets, activity levels, and optional screenshots provides genuine accountability, which is particularly valuable for remote teams.

**What do you dislike about Hubstaff?**

As per my point of view, The desktop agent requirement can be annoying for some roles, and the user experience can feel a bit rigid compared to lightweight trackers.

**What problems is Hubstaff solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From what I’ve seen, this addresses two main issues: first, it ensures accurate time tracking for billing and payroll, and second, it provides better visibility into work patterns for distributed teams. It has helped reduce instances of “missing time,” increased timesheet compliance, and made both client billing and internal cost tracking more reliable. Managers also spend less time following up on updates, since all the necessary data is readily available.

  ### 41. To tracks billable hours to streamline time-consuming admin tasks. Hubstaff is the Best.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vincent Omotade O. | Digital Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Hubstaff?**

What I like most about Hubstaff is that it removes ambiguity around time tracking and productivity. It’s very straightforward — you can clearly see where time goes, which projects consume the most hours, and whether budgets are being exceeded. The reporting is clean and easy to understand, which makes it useful not just for tracking hours but for making management decisions.

It’s especially helpful for remote or distributed teams because it creates accountability without requiring constant check-ins. The integrations with payroll and project management tools also save administrative time. Overall, it simplifies operational oversight in a way that feels structured and scalable.

**What do you dislike about Hubstaff?**

The biggest downside is that it can feel intrusive, particularly with features like screenshots and activity monitoring. Even if used with good intentions, it may create a sense of micromanagement or reduced trust among team members. That can impact morale if not handled carefully.

The user interface, while functional, isn’t always intuitive for new users, and some features feel slightly rigid rather than customizable. Pricing can also become expensive as teams scale, especially if you need higher-tier features.

**What problems is Hubstaff solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the biggest pain points in hiring and managing contractors is knowing if the time they report is accurate. Hubstaff gives visibility into hours worked and activity levels, which makes it easier to track real effort without constant check-ins. As a recruiter, this helps build trust with clients because I can back up billing and performance with objective data.

  ### 42. Easy to navigate although I am still awaiting MultiMango to appear

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Hubstaff?**

So far, the most helpful aspect of Hubstaff is how straightforward it is to set up and navigate. Even without fully using it yet, the layout is clean and intuitive, and it’s clear how the time tracking, reporting, and admin features will make day‑to‑day work much easier once everything is running. The biggest upside is that it feels designed to save time and reduce manual admin, which is exactly what I need from a tool like this.

**What do you dislike about Hubstaff?**

Since I haven’t fully used Hubstaff yet, I don’t have any major dislikes at this stage. The only downside so far is that there are a lot of features to explore, so it takes a bit of time to understand everything and get it set up the way I want. Once I’ve used it more, I’ll have a clearer idea of any limitations, but for now nothing stands out as a real issue.

**What problems is Hubstaff solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At present none

  ### 45. Clear and Transparent Time Tracking for Teams and Clients

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeet R. | Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Hubstaff?**

What I like most about Hubstaff is the clarity of work hours tracking. The automatic time tracking with activity level and screenshots provides quite a few transparent insights, especially when dealing with clients. I also appreciate that clients themselves may see tracked hours, building trust and reducing back-and-forth.

**What do you dislike about Hubstaff?**

The desktop client sometimes feels a little taxing on system resources, and the switching between applications is not always instantaneous. It's not a deal-breaker, but there’s definitely room for improvement here.

**What problems is Hubstaff solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hubstaff provides a solution for precisely tracking project time for teams and clients. Time tracking was a problem before because it was difficult to demonstrate how time was being utilized. All aspects are now automated, which makes it easy for clients to view time and project screenshots.

  ### 46. Powerful Reporting and Project Segmentation with Smart Time-Tracking Safeguards

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Hubstaff?**

The ability to build reports and segment data by project is extremely valuable for understanding how much actual work goes into each one. The idle timer and other configuration options are also a great failsafe in case someone forgets to log off. While we haven’t transitioned to using it yet, I can see a lot of value in the global to-dos that were recently added as a feature.

**What do you dislike about Hubstaff?**

Overall, I do not have many complaints, perhaps just the hubstaff bot could be updated more frequently. It was unable to answer basic questions about global to do 2-3 months after release saying he didn't have any information. So I guess it's mainly updating the KB more frequently.

**What problems is Hubstaff solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As mentioned earlier we use it for time tracking for customer project. It's helping us solve how much time we're spending on specific components of the project which in turn helps us know where we need to refine our processes or provide more coaching or training.

  ### 47. Very simple to use and install for remote work

**What do you like best about Hubstaff?**

The simple of installation and easy to use, the time tracking and simple reports.

**What do you dislike about Hubstaff?**

Although we have the second tier package we still need to pay for add on separately like insights , it would be great for these to be added automatically on new upgrades and not have to add them separtely, because they make me want to look for another alternative that already includes those features.

**What problems is Hubstaff solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making sure that the agents worked hours are tracked properly, the live screenshots help a lot when controlling the staff.

  ### 48. Control Cash with Hubstaff, No Problems
