## Hoxhunt Reviews
  ### 1. Interactive and Effective Security Training

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amy S. | Same Day Mortgage Associate Underwriter, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I use Hoxhunt for company email and security training. It trains me on how to recognize malicious items, which is incredibly useful. I really like the interactive testing, especially the test emails that are sent to help me try to recognize bad emails. The interactive training is also something I enjoy. The initial setup was very easy since it was already set up for me. Overall, I like all aspects of Hoxhunt.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Nothing

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt trains me to recognize malicious items through interactive testing and test emails, enhancing my email security awareness.

  ### 2. Engaging Training That Sharpened My Phishing-Spotting Skills.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John M. | Gymnastics Coach, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

Offers lots of education, even when I thought I knew how to spot the spam of phishing emails. Very engaging.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

It bothered me that I would "miss" an email because I had taken the day off from work.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I haven't reported any problems so I wouldn't know of any problem solving.

  ### 3. Engaging Security Training with Real Impact

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven M. | Account Manager, Marketing and Advertising, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I use Hoxhunt to strengthen our organization's security awareness and reduce phishing risk. I appreciate that it provides training through realistic phishing simulations and short, engaging lessons that help us develop good security habits. I like how effective it combines realism, personalization, and measurable impact. The phishing simulations feel authentic and relevant, which helps me and other employees build real instincts instead of just memorizing rules. It's also valuable because of how adaptive the platform is. It tailors training based on individual behavior, so everyone gets guidance that matches their actual risk level, rather than a one size fits all approach.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

One area is content variety over long periods of use. While the phishing simulations are realistic, long-term users may eventually recognize certain patterns. Expanding the content library more frequently or offering industry-specific scenarios could help to keep the experience fresh and maintain that high engagement.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hoxhunt to strengthen our organization's security awareness and reduce phishing risk with realistic simulations and engaging lessons, making training effective and easy to adopt.

  ### 4. Hoxhunt keeps us trained, safe and prepared before Cybersecurity incident happens.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neil C. | Technical Support Engineer and Cybersecurity Ambassador for a manufacturing location., Machinery, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

The phishing simulation are subtly designed to mimic the cybersecurity incident.
The best thing I like is the micro training immediately after the simulation. This creates a lasting impression on the minds of the user and helps us to be prepared for any cybersecurity attack of a similar nature.
Hoxhunt keeps track of how many phishing simulations you completed correctly and which ones you missed. The leaderboard is a good tool to know your competency on handling such cybersecurity attacks.
The Hoxhunt logo with black shield with red borders constantly reminds us to be vigilant during these cybersecurity attacks.
Thanks for a great software!

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I think the micro training should also have an option for an in-depth training if someone want a deeper dive on this simulation.
Also there should be a count of how many users pass the simulation and how many users needed the training.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt is solving the problem of training all the users by effectively simulating a real cybersecurity incident. It is benefiting me to understand latest threats that exists and be vigilant and prepared for future cybersecurity attacks.

  ### 5. Realistic Phishing Simulations with Concise, Informative Training

Hoxhunt's phishing simulations are incredibly realistic, which is the best way to test and put the knowledge gained from its videos into practice. The modules are concise, informative, and short.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

There are phishing simulations I miss because I recognize an email I don't want and trash it. I don't think that should be a sign of a failed or missed simulation, if we're still not opening or falling for the scam.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's creating a better knowledge base re: what to look for in scams and how to continue strong security across our organization.

I really like how Hoxhunt turned spotting phishing emails into a game. It created a unique culture at my company, making my coworkers and me look forward to reporting phishing emails. The game element not only kept our company safe but also made the process enjoyable. The stars and leaderboard added a sense of community and set individual goals, which was a great motivator.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I think I have the habit of deleting junk/phishing email instead of reporting, so there was a slight learning curve if unfamiliar with Hoxhunt.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt helps us identify phishing emails and creates a fun, competitive culture around email security, making us look forward to spotting and reporting threats.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danilo M. | Analog engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

the collection of the stars after a report or a simulation

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

There should be a pop-up when someone clicks on a link that is not supposed to be clicked because it is spam. The pop-up should display a warning message asking the user if they are sure they want to continue with the clicked link.

When an email is reported and determined not to be spam or phishing, it should be moved back to the Inbox instead of remaining in the Deleted Items folder

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt helps reduce human risk in cybersecurity by training people to recognize and report phishing attacks through personalized, gamified simulations. This strengthens organizational resilience and makes security training more engaging and measurable.

  ### 12. Natural, Engaging Security Awareness Training That Adapts to Your Team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shreya M. | Fund Administration, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt addresses the issue of employees falling for phishing by turning security awareness into ongoing, personalized training. It helps me spot real threats more easily, build better habits over time, and keep security top of mind without it ever feeling overwhelming.

  ### 13. Best-in-Class, Realistic Phishing Simulations with Great Gamified Training

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Paper & Forest Products | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

Realistic traps and phishing attempts. It's the best one I've seen so far. Good job! (maybe even more realistic than is possible, but no harm being extra careful).
The gamification of the cyber security training is also great although i cant see any of my colleagues names.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Sometimes legit emails are flagged as phishing when i report them. I wonder if anything can be done to make the reporting function more sophisticated.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Awareness and training, for sure. Scams are getting so much more complicated, and it’s important that someone or some organization stays on top of it and helps train corporations.

  ### 14. Effective Security Training with Practical Examples

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ondrilla F. | Human Resources Advisor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I use Hoxhunt for our data security. I like how it helps to identify spam emails and teach along the way. The bite-size training and real-life examples are great. The modules are short and focused, making it easy for me to complete them along with my day-to-day workload. The examples provided are realistic and practical. I also appreciate that it integrates with Outlook, and the initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I find there are too many reminders as it just clogs the inbox.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hoxhunt for data security, as it helps identify spam emails and provides bite-size training with real-life examples, making it easy to learn without disrupting my work.

  ### 15. Eye-Opening Insight Into How Convincing Phishing Emails Can Be

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alaric S. | Senior IT Support, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

It helped me realize how easily a phishing email can blend into what looks like routine work or everyday life.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

The interaction might have some place to improve. (To make the game much fun and challenge)

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It do helps me build a better understanding of the dark side of social engineering.

  ### 16. Engaging Phishing Simulations with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Devon M. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I like that Hoxhunt makes training more 'fun' and uses examples that are very real, which helps me become more attuned to what to look for in phishing schemes. It's also cool to see 'leaderboards' and compare my stats with colleagues. The initial setup was very easy and the update was seamless to email.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Sometimes the frequency is high. Also, because the simulations are so real I miss 'real' emails. Also, if you delete an email it penalizes you. Delete is better than clicking...

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hoxhunt to simulate real-world phishing examples, making employees more aware of phishing schemes. It makes training 'fun,' keeping us attuned to warning signs.

  ### 17. Fun, Engaging Way to Boost Cyber Security Awareness

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Drashti P. | Fund administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

My overall experience with HoxHunt has been very positive. The platform has helped me become more aware and cautious in identifying potential phishing attempts and other security threats in day to day comms. I have also found the simulations to be both realistic and engaging and they strike a good balance between being challenging enough to test my attention and simple enough to integrate into my workflow.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

The two thing i personally not like in hoxhunt are: 1) You cannot report multiple emails at a time. When I select multiple emails and try to report then it shows to select one by one and report it. 2) Sometimes the hoxhunt button takes time to open

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt is used everyday to make us aware and alert on suspicious emails. Personally, I think it's a great idea as we deal with a wide range of data from the resident and businesses in our Borough.

  ### 18. Effortless Phishing Training with Hoxhunt

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mckaylee S.

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I love how easy Hoxhunt is to use and integrate with email. After reporting a phishing email, it provides a short lesson on common tactics used by scammers, which I find valuable. The integration with email makes it easily accessible, and the short lessons fit perfectly with my busy schedule while providing meaningful and helpful insights. I love all the features offered and the opportunity to turn on 'spicy' mode. From what I've heard from the setup team, the setup process was smooth and the support was great.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I only had one problem while trying to report an email via the Outlook app and ended up clicking on a fake phishing link instead of clicking on the 'Hoxhunt' logo to report it.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt simulates phishing emails to train us on spotting threats. It's a hands-on tool that teaches more effectively than monthly trainings. It's easy to integrate with email, and its quick lessons provide useful insights in my busy schedule.

  ### 19. Fun and Effective Email Security Training

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jodi M.

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I like that Hoxhunt makes training fun. The interface is seamlessly integrated into Microsoft Outlook, which is our email program, and I don't need additional training to figure out how to use it. It works within Outlook and I find out immediately if I have identified a scam email.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I think it would be helpful if after getting some tests correct, that the new test emails were more difficult to identify. So far I have 100%, but the scam emails have seemed pretty easy to identify. Since scam emails are getting harder to identify, I think Hoxhunt could replicate the more difficult ones. Maybe it does, and I haven't gotten any of the more difficult ones, but so far, all of the test emails have been pretty easy.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt helps me identify spam/phishing emails, keeps me sharp, and integrates seamlessly with Outlook, making the training both fun and easy to use without extra training.

  ### 20. Fun and Effective Phishing Training

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Xavier P.

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I appreciate that Hoxhunt is intuitive and the fact that it gives us numerous attempts. The challenge aspect is also very well crafted. The micro-trainings are less tedious than a long training session, and the 'star' points allow for jokes in the office with the achievements. Also, the reporting interface is very simple and clear via Outlook, which makes it pleasant to make a report with Hoxhunt.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Perhaps more quizzes should be added, even if they are optional, and a few additional training sessions wouldn't hurt. Otherwise, the reporting interface is very simple and clear via Outlook, but once the button is clicked, it might feel a bit too 'game-like', although that's also part of what makes it enjoyable to do a Hoxhunt report.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt does not solve any particular problem for me, but I suppose it helps my company avoid data leaks or the creation of backdoors.

  ### 21. Realistic Phishing Simulations, Foolproof Security Training

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Megan B. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I like that Hoxhunt simulations are real. They look like real emails that could really trip you up, which makes them super effective. I also enjoy that it turns into a bit of a gamified solution once you actually submit something or click on it.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I don't always see the emails because if I look at the title and know that it's not relevant for me, then I just delete it. But I suppose this might be a way of passing the test without actually interacting with it.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hoxhunt as a simulation tool to improve my ability to recognize phishing schemes by teaching me what to look out for in suspicious emails.

  ### 22. Interactive Tutoring Makes Learning Engaging and Informative

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

You get info / interactive tutoring on each report.

For comparison on my current employer we have "some" competing tool. It is binary you stepped on trap / good job you spotted a pishing email.

The other product's developer trusts their product so much that they do not even tell the end user which company made it and what it is called.

(I have posti laptop to do posti work, thus I also have access to hoxhunt)

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I hated it that when this started, you could not flag yourself as being on vacation. I used vacations from current year and previous year and immediately dropped in rankings so much I never could catch up. So the race was lost in very beginning phases.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It really has helped me to avoid dangerous emails and be suspicious of many emails I receive outside of company.

Also I have flagged several spammers and they do not seem to get trough anymore.

  ### 23. Hoxhunt Rankings Make Progress Fun and Motivating.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gelcio G. | Proces Control Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I like the Hoxhunt ranking because it shows how many stars I’ve earned and what league I’m in.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Sometimes it’s hard to tell whether an email is a scam or not.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’m more careful when reading emails, and I pay close attention to whether they’re a scam or not.

  ### 24. Helps Learning Stick

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Venture Capital & Private Equity | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I appreciate the way the tests and learning capabilities are set up. It let's you know why you are wrong if you incorrectly clicked on something - not just that you were wrong to do so.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I understand it is supposed to be sporadic but sometimes I feel like it goes too long in between tests and then all of a sudden, I will get two in one week and they are somewhat similar.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

People learning on what to look for so they don't click malicious links or enter their credentials on a site they shouldn't be.

  ### 25. Enhances Vigilance Against Phishing with Ease

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael W.

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I like the way Hoxhunt allows me to stay more vigilant and make sure I'm getting all the details correct. I find the leaderboard surprisingly helpful for staying on top of reading emails and reporting them rather than just deleting. It helps me remember security features and keeps everything in one place, which keeps phishing email awareness top of mind. Additionally, setting it up for my position was very easy, as it worked from the first day.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I can't really think of anything.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt helps me verify security and phishing emails, ensuring I distinguish training emails from real threats. It keeps me vigilant, consolidates security features, and the leaderboard encourages attention to detail and reporting rather than just deleting messages.

Nothing really to say. Haven't had a dislike about the platform

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt is solving security illiteracy across the workforce

  ### 27. Effective and engaging tool for building phishing awareness

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** mayur k. | Solutions Architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

As a user, I find the phishing drills very engaging and realistic. They help me stay alert and practice spotting suspicious emails in a safe way. The feedback after each drill is simple and easy to follow, which makes it a good learning experience. Over time, I feel more confident in identifying real phishing attempts, and I appreciate how the exercises blend into my normal email routine without being disruptive.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Some of the simulations feel a bit repetitive over time. It would be helpful to see more advanced and varied phishing scenarios. Occasionally the drills arrive during busy hours, which can feel distracting.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt helps solve the problem of phishing awareness by training me to recognize and report suspicious emails in real time. It turns security into a daily habit, reducing the risk of falling for phishing attacks. For me, this means more confidence when handling emails and peace of mind knowing I’m contributing to keeping the organization safe.

  ### 28. Interactive Dashboard Boosts Email Security Training

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamila E.

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I love the interactive dashboard in Hoxhunt because it provides me with clear information on my results and progression, making it easy to track how well I'm doing. The competition aspect, where I can earn new shields and progress to different levels by gaining stars, is something I really enjoy as it adds a fun and engaging element to learning about security. The training sessions are very valuable, as they equip me with the skills to be vigilant when dealing with spam or phishing emails, helping me recognize and detect them effectively. Additionally, the initial setup of Hoxhunt was very easy, which made the overall experience smooth and hassle-free. The fact that I would rate it a 10 out of 10 for recommending it to friends or colleagues speaks to my trust and satisfaction with the service.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I find being able to search among my reported threats is lacking in Hoxhunt. A search bar to find reported threats would immensely improve my experience.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hoxhunt to filter phishing and spam emails, staying informed and trained to detect them. The interactive dashboard tracks my progress, and gaining stars motivates me to improve my skills.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I'm learning how to spot malicious emails to better protect my accounts. I really enjoy the stars feature, and the experience feels almost like playing a game. It doesn't require much time each day, and I barely notice that I'm spending time learning these skills.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Sometimes I miss those emails, and then I feel like I can't return. I noticed a mistake in one of my quizzes, but I wasn't able to continue with it. Instead, I had to skip the quiz rather than being able to proceed.

HoxHunt aims to address the vulnerability that arises when employees unknowingly open malicious emails without recognizing the risks. I find it beneficial, not only because I use it frequently, but also due to its user-friendly design. Additionally, it has helped me become more aware of potential threats in emails I receive on my personal accounts as well.

The automation of testing employees for their susceptibility to scams or phishing attacks is also valuable. Plus, the initial setup of Hoxhunt was very easy.

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I love the Hoxhunt interface for being very educational and attractive, with a design that resembles a video game, which makes the user experience more interesting. Although its style is a bit childish, what I value most is how easy and understandable it is to use. I don't need to click on many points to learn more about the page, as it explains itself. This allows for intuitive and efficient navigation, facilitating the learning and use of the platform.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I feel that the experience with Hoxhunt is good, but I feel that it is very simple. Despite being interactive and appealing, I feel that they don't really exploit their potential. They could add more elements to be more attractive, since once I have gotten used to the interface, I don't find much more to do.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hoxhunt to identify malicious emails that could compromise my company's security, better understanding virtual threats through emails.

This process is not only informative but also happens automatically, allowing me to learn passively while staying on top of potential threats.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I find that the threat emails from Hoxhunt are occasionally too generic and would benefit from being more tailored to feel more realistic. Additionally, I'm concerned that these simulated threats only come via email, while cyber attackers are known to use a variety of channels, such as WhatsApp, Teams, and others. Incorporating multiple channels would provide a more comprehensive simulation of potential attack vectors.

Overall, these aspects collectively contribute to a pleasant and enriching training experience, underscoring the platform's educational efficacy and ease of use.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Sometimes the games in Hoxhunt are a bit clunky, which hinders my engagement and enjoyment.
